Review #1080~(SGV, CA)~My mom and I walked in here for a quick take out experience since we were ordering dinner from their next door restaurant, 'Pho Rowland.' I also had to borrow the restroom which was kept super clean. From This recent visit about a couple days ago, we ordered a couple of dishes~Duck's Wings and Roasted Tofu to go. As soon as we finished taking out these two dishes, our order from next door's Vietnamese dinner was ready for pick up. Phone didn't get to eat first because it was just a quick take out experience: will add some next time. Parking: Free and convenient plaza parking provided. We must have had our lucky day when we showed up a couple days ago after visiting our family friends in Rowland Heights nearby here. Will likely return again i'm sure.

Visit this restaurant about 2 weeks ago while I am in LA. It used to be Sam Woo BBQ restaurant. It had been renovated and has a modern look. It is a Hong Kong style cafe. We have breakfast with milk tea, congee, Chinese donut stick, rice rolls, noodles and buns. All of them tastes great and reaches the Hong Kong cafe standards. Service is good but it appears they don't have enough waitresses. At time, you have to wave to them.Overall, we enjoyed our breakfast there. We wish they would open their cafe in South Bay, Northern California.

This HK style cafe used to be one of the Delicious Food Corner's locations, but it appears that there has been either a name change or maybe a change of ownership. The personnel, menus, and essentially the food remain the same.Tasty Spot has one of the best values in afternoon teas in the area. Congees and soup noodles are paired with a choice of pineapple bun or rice noodles, both of which are good. Each afternoon tea entree also includes a choice of tea or coffee, and there is no surcharge for cold drinks. The pineapple bun is heated in a toaster oven, so the bun is warm and soft while the crust has a crispy and flaky texture. The rice noodles are served with a blend of hoisin sauce and peanut butter and are the yummiest in town.Their congees are also good as the rice is thoroughly melted making the texture really smooth. I particularly like the dried vegetables and spareribs version. I am also a fan their beef chow fun and wonton noodle soup. Most sandwiches are fine, but whatever you do, do not get their corned beef sandwich. I've had it once and it was horrible -- the quality of the beef was so poor that they tried to cover it up with raw onions which made it even worse. This is one of a few places that offers fresh HK style egg bubble waffle. However, the quality is not consistent. A couple of times they were fresh from the oven and hot and crispy. But a few times they were cold. Just yesterday, the one that we ordered came to our table cold and soft.

煲仔飯was good. It got a good crust at the bottom which is crispy but not too brown. The crust could easily be separated from the pot. The seafood spaghetti was so so. While I was there they were busy. People were friendly but I have to raise my hand and call them for service.

Came across this New Location and thought I would give it a try. We all order something different. I'll tell you that we were all pleased. I got the Singaporean vermicelli. It had pork and shrimp and it was soooo good... and tasty !The waiter recommend me to try this dish and I am so glad that he did. Location was clean and a descent amount of seating. We didn't wait to long. The only down fall it is in a very busy shopping center . You just have to drive around to find parking. At least that how it is during the weekend.

We picked up a whole soy sauce chicken and some bbq pork. The have a special $24 for the whole chciken. Both items were delicious. I have to say the soy sauce chicken is better than most places in the area. Hard to find parking on the weekend.I will definitely come back again if I am in the area.

I've been wanting to try this place but every time I visit the area, I run out of time (or stomach space). Finally came on Tuesday night around 7ish. There was no wait and we were seated right away toward the back. There are certain things that I always try when I visit HK style cafes. Iced Lemon Tea, French Toast, and Baked Pork Chop (over rice). The rest of the family ordered other favs of theirs. Sweet and sour pork and garlic wok fried gai lan.I was most disappointed with the iced tea. There was no effort put into it. Usually various types and many bags of teas are used to brew this tea. This tea tasted like powdered black tea, barely sweetened. The gai lan had good "wok hay" flavor. Unfortunately the garlic crisps were way too hard like a nut. I was afraid I'd chip a tooth. The gai lan was prepared sliced, blanched, then wok fried. This fish would have been a hit had the gai lan not been over blanched, making it too soft and left no green veg flavor or crunch. The sweet and sour pork was actually not bad. A bit on the sour side but I loved the amount of pineapple and the right amount of sauce. The pork cubes were fried nicely. The baked pork chop (took the longest to come out) rice was not my favorite. The egg rice was dried out like it had been sitting underneath the heat lamp for too long. Then canned crushed tomatoes was poured on top. Grilled sliced boneless pork chop slices placed on top with sprinkles of cheese thrown into the broiler to melt the cheese. The DD enjoyed it (bc she was hungry). The overall dish was too sour as it wasn't a sauce. The saving grace of the night that bumped up the star was the French Toast. Although I preferred it fried longer with more eggy taste in the batter, I actually appreciated the creamy peanut butter. It was oozing out of the center. Usually places don't put that much peanut butter in the center. The block of butter reminded me of HK and the syrup was packaged with HFCS but ngl, it worked! Overall, it was okay for a Tuesday night when I didn't know what to eat and didn't feel like waiting. Service was good. Staff were attentativeI'd give the food a 2.5.

DFC has expanded to Rowland Heights in the plaza across from 99-Ranch! It is always a pleasant surprise to find another Cantonese restaurant. The parking spaces are tight and during peak hours can be crowded. I would park further away from the shop fronts to avoid aggravated drivers. Upon entering, there's a deli meat section so look for the roasted duck or soy-sauced chicken breast. The service is decent, nothing terrible but the waitstaff are constantly running around, so flagging them down can be annoying. My family and I been to 7+ different DFC locations--and the far this location and the one on Main St (Alhambra) have reasonable wait times. Our norm go-to meal (entrees) are:(1) Soy-sauce chow mein (3/5). It inconsistent and lacks "wok-hey". (2) Ma Po Tofu (4/5). It's such a comfort food when pour over rice. The ingredients are always perfect. (3) Minced Pork w/sunny-side up egg over rice (5/5). A simple but often requested dish...the minced pork is heavily season with black pepper. See you soon DFC....

Always enjoy coming here and just thankful it's closer to us now without needing to go to the diamond bar one of the hacienda heights one. I appreciate that they have their baked dishes since the DB branch doesn't and they serve some dim sum for breakfast too! Love all the Hong Kong decor. Definitely a go to for comfort HK food

I'm still confused if it's Tasty Spot or Delicious Food Corner...I think the menu was the same, but the outside says Tasty Spot and some papers inside say Delicious. Whatever. My friend had the spaghetti bolognese and she was not happy with the amount of veggies in the dish and not only that they were a bit too crunchy and just didn't go with the dish. Red onions and bell peppers, celery, carrots and so on. I on the other hand had the 2pc combo of roasted duck and crispy pork along with dim sum of pork shui mai and juicy dumplings. Great price on the dim sum and portions are good too.The 2pc combo was amazing served with bbq sauce, I thought the sauce was better with the duck than pork. Both were delicious and well done juicy and flavorful. Both dim sum were good too I loved the flavor on the dumplings.Service is very good.
