I love this place so much. For years, from when I was just a middle schooler, now in college, I come here at least once every other week to get food for my mom and I. Asada tacos, Ceviche to put on top, Menudo, and occasionally pozole. With 2 big ass horchata drinks . The food is always good every time I get it, and it taste the same almost every single time. Both the man and the lady that work at the front desk are usually very nice and accommodating to me, and they give me large boxes when I order a lot of food, and they ask me when I want my drinks, and if i want utensils or sauce cups. it might take a little bit to actually get your food depending on how much you actually get and how many people are in the place, but usually I have no problem waiting.

This place never fails to disappoint. So far every time I came here . Always a good experience. Excellent taste, food so fresh , salsas are top notch Being a customer for many, many years now I drive 20 miles just to have their food It's so darn good.

Hands down the best tacos in business!! Especially the chorizo ones! The tortillas are bomb, all the protein options taste clean and fresh and the salsas are finger licking good! This time we also ordered chilaquiles. We picked the green option. The plater came with a side of delicious rice and beans. The chilaquiles weren't very impressive but I would order them again as a vegetarian option. They have a great Taco Tuesday deal, don't miss out!! Also, shout out to the cashier Guadalupe! She is amazing, always very welcoming, kind, charismatic, and friendly! We love seeing her as much as we love their tacos!

Long before great Mexican food was everywhere in OC, there was a small fast casual restaurant in a Brea industrial park called Rudy's Mexicatessen. Rudy's Special was a fried burrito (chimichanga) filled with shredded beef and topped with guacamole and menguiche - a cheese, sour cream, and mild chile sauce. Crazy good. Having an all-beef burrito that wasn't ground beef was rare back then. You couldn't get that at Taco Bell or Naugles and taco night at home was ground beef in preformed taco shells. A flavorful shredded beef, I think it's called deshebrada, is used at Taqueria Escalante for their machaca. Machaca is supposed to consist of dried beef jerky that has been rehydrated, but this plate contained lots of pure, mildy seasoned braised shredded beef with no surprises. Way more beef than egg, it also had pieces of onion and poblano. With rice and beans, a little shredded lettuce and sour cream, tortillas, and this is my perfect Mexican breakfast. The salsa bar had three distinct salsas, onions, radishes and peppers. I can't wait to try other items on the menu with my family. Thank you Taqueria Esclanate, for keeping prices low (almost everything on the menu is under $10) and serving our community with quality food.

In an economy where inflation has affected so many businesses, the owner still manages to keep the prices here VERY affordable and the portions are pretty good! My husband and I came here for lunch and got carne asada fries and a carne asada burrito plus 2 drinks for only $22! The food tastes amazing and is great quality! We will be back more often and love their authentic Mexican food!

My favorite local taco shop. We love Taco Tues here. My favorite is the Chorizo. Sooooooo good. Plus the staff is very friendly. It's a hole in the wall place, but a good hole in the wall

What I Ordered:Crunchy tacos Al Pastor...Regular tacos with CarnitasThey were not stingy with the meat because the tacos were stuffedThe meat that was tender and well-seasonedHorchata was okay, not too sweet or too "cinnamon-y", but still refreshing Things to know:You get up to 2 little containers for salsa per 3 tacosThey have little plastic bags for the limesIf you want an itemized receipt, you'll need to ask for it right after you make your orderThere was 1 person in front of me and it took 20 minutes to get my order out and I was still missing half of my order. They fixed it quicky and it only took them less than 5 minutes to make it rightCustomer Service was very polite and helpful

First off I always visit this place for nachos. Try them and you won't be disappointed. Always plenty of cheese.I decided to try the breakfast burrito on my last visit. The will make it any way you want. I ordered the chorizo and egg burrito and added cheese, bacon and beans. They also have the option to add fries if you like. Stop by for breakfast! You won't be disappointed.

very bad service! No friendly cashier I went this morning to order a caldo I stand in line more 5 mins and when was my turn and the cashier call 2 persons to pick up there orders and even take a order on the phone I didn't finish with me to complete my order very rude when I ask for a suggestions I get out from there very disappointed

Bad experience I went because I was craving albondigas and I was told they have 2 meat balls per serving and I asked if I can get extra and I would pay extra and she said yes if I paid double the prize I was just asking for extra meat balls not a whole extra plate after I said it's ok thank you she proceeded to have attitude It was just an unpleasant experience speaking to her
