I have been a loyal customer for years. I've order to-go and dined in for years! It's hard to go wrong with anything of the options provided. First, I appreciate the staff members who are attentive and friendly. They make the dine in experience very welcoming. The restaurant is spacious with tables. We did not have to wait long to be served. As for the food, my favorite are drunken noodles, pad sew, fried rice, papaya salad, beef salad, chili with sweet and sour sauce on fish, and I can go on and on. Of course we always have to end with mango sticky rice, Thai tea and thai coffee! I LOVE their thai coffee. Highly recommended and embraces the best of both worlds of tea and coffee. My family and I have never had a bad time here and will continue to support them.

This place has a good vibes and a friendly people but i feel the food here wasn't as good as i hoped. Overall this place is a 3.5 stars in terms of food but since they were nice i'd round up to 4.4/5 - I got the Tom Yum Shrimp soup and it was pretty good. I wish the lemon grass wasn't into tiny pieces where you need to take it out so many times3/5 - Pad Thai The top rated dish but the noodles were slightly overcooked and it was way too sweet. They need to balance the dish more. 3.5/5 - Drunken noodles Overall had good flavor but it was lacking something compared to many other thai places i tried. It has a nice kick but the flavor wasn't there.Overall it's a nice place with good service to come to but it didn't live up to the 4.3 stars imo

I really appreciate this place. Close Thai food joint with all the staples at a good price and chill vibes. No extra bells and whistles outside of good food, clean restaurant, and fast service. Definitely give the Thai Boat Noodles a try.

TIP: $11.95 Lunch Specials served Mon - Fri from 11am - 3pm.First visit to this restaurant. We were immediately seated, but it took a little bit of time for someone to come back and take our lunch order. The décor is casual, and it was clean. Parking can be tough, as this shopping center is very busy.FOOD & DRINKS: My wife and I both ordered a Thai Iced Tea ($4) and I thought this was one of the better ones I've had recently. Not too sweet, and the price was lower than many. Off the Starter section of the menu, we ordered the Crunchy Vegetable Rolls ($11.95) and of course they came out about 30 seconds before the rest of our lunch was brought to the table. This seems to be a common issue in many Asian restaurants, appetizers and starters are brought out along with the rest of the meal, sometimes after many of the entrées are brought to the table, and this is very frustrating to me. For entrées, we ordered the BBQ Chicken & Fried Rice ($11.95) and the BBQ Ribs & Fried Rice ($11.95). Both meals were okay, not bad but nothing special either.NOTE: The menu cover states, "Automatic 18% gratuity will be added to all parties of seven (7) or more"Overall, we thought it was okay, but I will say that some of the regular menu items, especially the noodle dishes looked very good, so I would give this place another try.

We ended up walking in very close to closing time but the staff were super gracious and accommodating. The restaurant was decorated with cute signs all over and was very family friendly with booths and large/small tables. We ordered a ton of food including classics like Pad Thai, Tom Yum Soup, Beef Satay, Spicy Minced Beef, Papaya Salad, Thai Ice Tea and more. They had an extensive menu with not often seen dishes too like Fish Patty Cakes and Yen Tao Fo. We got all the dishes mild spice and my favorite dish was the papaya salad. The papaya salad was the perfect combination of crunchy, salty, spicy, and tangy. We will definitely need to come back and try some of their curries and desserts.

Ordered Uber eats delivery from this Thai, everything was surprisingly delicious in large portions. I'v never seen the actual restaurant though cause we don't go to West Covina usually. The food arrived fast enough and packaged well enough. For food the spicy catfish was so flavorful, catfish is one of my favorite Thai dishes. Wonton soup, fried rice and flaming drunken noodles with shrimps were tasty as well. Just the rice noodles were a bit too spicy for my liking. Overall the items we have tried were very good and prices were fair. We would order food delivery from this Thai again!

Just ordered takeout from Tantawan Thai Kitchen and honestly, it was just okay. I had high hopes because I remember the Rosemead location being amazing, but something about the to-go experience didn't hit the same. The mango sticky rice, though, was definitely the highlight--perfectly sweet and satisfying. Maybe this place is better enjoyed fresh and dine-in. Lesson learned!

Omg I went there for take out when I found this hidden gem on Yelp! I love curry chicken & my husband loves papaya salad! We couldn't find a good place that served both until we found you guys! Omg it's the best curry I have ever had it bring backs so much memories of a young girl. We had the honor to go back on Valentine's Day for lunch , a little get away time from our children & man I was so happy we could dine in , in peace & just enjoy lunch date like we did back in the day! Thank you guys! We will see you soon again

As soon as you walk into Tantawan, you're hit with a pretty big whiff of fish sauce, tamarind and other Thai spices; so you know immediately it's going to be a very rich experience. It doesn't get very busy for sit-down meals, but there's a constant stream of take-out orders. There were probably 2x more take-out orders in our 1 hour dinner than sit down orders. And their phone was constantly ringing. We ordered 5 dishes to share and it was the perfect amount of food. The Pad Thai is very saucy compared to other places, which I really enjoyed. The drunken noodle was also very good and flavorful. The chow mein was a bit on the salty side, but still tasty. Overall, it was good experience and we would come back.
