Once you walk in the atmosphere is so beautiful. We made reservations for Valentine's Day(just left) it wasn't over crowded at all. My hubby & I tried a few things. Everything was 10/10. The alcoholic drinks are on point & they hit the right spots LOL Our Waitress Jenny was so nice & very attentive, no attitude was the nicest. Ok the food here is amazing and the only saving grace to our dining experience. The music was being blasted and felt like the sub woofers were the size of the building. There were screaming children running all around and the server never refilled our waters during the whole time we were there. The taco shells though are delicious, especially in the quesa birria taco. Would only get take out going forward though...

The handmade tortillas and salsa verde make for some delicious tacos. We ordered octopus, fish, and carnitas tacos, and they were all standouts! The prices were $9, $7, and $6 respectively. The spirits are a standard fee, and there is an upcharge to make it into a cocktail. $17.68 for an old fashioned and $18.72 for an Ilegal mezcal with club soda. Our server Jennifer was very attentive and friendly, and there was a terrific mix of R&B and Spanish music playing, along with a little hip hop. The DJ began playing before 8pm on a Friday night. The very dim lighting and vivid decor create the perfect backdrop for date night or special celebrations. It did take a very long time to get our food and drinks, which can be a drawback if you're in a rush. The restaurant was very busy for Valentine's Day, so that's potentially the cause for the long delays.

Amazing food, incredible customer service, a fantastic DJ, and great music, what more could you ask for to create a truly unique and joyful night? This place is an absolute gem and the perfect spot to celebrate birthdays or anniversaries. While we were there, a birthday celebration was in full swing, and the energy was just pure fun and happiness. The music was fantastic and kept the vibe alive all night.The food was fresh and top-quality, my ceviche was absolutely delicious! Their signature dish, the "Taste of Mexico Molcajete," was out of this world. Every bite felt like a celebration of authentic Mexican flavors.The atmosphere gave me the feeling of sitting in a high-quality local restaurant in Tulum. While the ocean breeze was missing, the ambiance and music made it feel like we were right by the waves in Mexico. The margaritas were incredibly tasty, too. The song "Are You With Me" (Lost Frequencies) kept playing in my head all night:"I wanna dance by water 'neath the Mexican skyDrink some Margaritas by a string of blue lightsListen to the Mariachi play at midnightAre you with me, are you with me?"It was one of the best nights I've had, especially after the disappointing experience at the previous bougie restaurant we visited. That letdown ended up being a blessing in disguise because it led us to this amazing spot. I'm so glad we found this place, it was everything we needed and more!

loved the vibes of this place. the decorations were beautiful, it was classic cantina vibes. the nachos were bomb- i didn't even get a picture before we ate it all. the mojito was even better, i highly recommend it. the rajas taco was okay, i wish i had tried the fish taco instead.it wasn't too busy, but there were a few tables. there was one girl doing all of the serving and bartending. it felt empty and like she could've used some help with the quantity. regardless, she was great and kind. overall, i'd come back!

The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the salmon tacos which has an interesting taste with a bit of sweetness and a touch of Brussels. The squash blossom mole was very tasty. I didn't really care for the guacamole. The tamarindo drink was good. The server was very friendly and he absolutely love everything on the menu. The place has a very artist vibe and can handle big party.

Located in the Target shopping center in the back corner. Indoor, outdoor, and bar seating. Full service, sitdown restaurant. Loud and lively music. Cool atmosphere with fake plant walls and large art murals. Fast and friendly service. No complimentary chips, though!We went for an early Friday dinner, so were able to take advantage of their happy hour (M-F 3-6pm). You can see the deals in one of the pics I uploaded. Tried the street corn (comes with marrow and bread), and the 3 street taco combo (choice of a bunch of meats in the tacos, and included beans, rice, and extremely hot side sauce). And a classic margarita to drink! Loved everything, and will definitely be back to try more happy hour apps, partially because everything is very expensive! Need deals for it to make sense financially if you're budget conscious.

I LOVE Tacos Madre! This new Santa Ana location is a lot bigger and aesthetically nicer than the Costa Mesa location. There's also a lot of parking available. The service was also great and friendly. I put in a to-go order at the end of my dine-in meal and had asked for no onions, and they messed up but efficiently corrected the issue. I would make use of their daily deals (especially Taco Tuesday). All the food I've tried here have been SO good, ranging from their appetizers, to their street tacos, to the birria pizza at the Harbor location, including their salsas that come with the tacos. Only thing is I wish they gave more tortillas for the queso fundido and more chips for the ceviche without extra charge.

Don't let the decor fool you... this place means BUSINESS. I was shocked that I never heard about this place or came here sooner. I stopped by with some coworkers for happy hour and the place was empty. It was on a Monday, but still! Everything I had there was delicious (Tacos, Birria Sliders, Beef Taquitos). Pricing was decent, and the drinks were great as well. All I know is Tacos Madre is doing something right, and I will be back here regularly.... So keep it lowkey !
