Came here after we left Disneyland, wasn't too far, maybe 2 miles away. You can't miss this spot, you will see the smoke coming from the grill before you notice the place itself. It really seem to be a very popular place and parking was plentiful but you had to wait to find a spot. Upon walking in there are seating inside and outside of the place. Portions are HUGE! We got some tacos, quesadilla and a loaded potato. All the meats we got was flavorful and delicious. They served a lot of meat for everything we got. Now the condiments bar is very organized and set up clean and all the containers you will need to load up you tacos with the goodness! Service was good and the inside was very clean. Btw...we still have leftover for the next day.

I recently visited Tacos Los Cholos and tried the adobada torta and some cecina tacos. While the food was good, it didn't quite live up to the price or the hype. The flavors were decent, but not extraordinary. The atmosphere at the restaurant was chaotic, as it seemed the staff wasn't fully coordinated, with unclear roles among the workers. Additionally, there was no one offering drinks, and no one seemed available to assist customers with drink orders. The place was also overcrowded, with no available parking, which made the experience less enjoyable.Overall, the food quality was good, but it didn't justify the excitement surrounding the place. It's worth a visit if you're in the area, but don't expect it to live up to the buzz.

Honestly overrated and overhyped. I've been here about five times and now I'm throwing the towel. I live really close so I wish this was a better spot, but the premium meats are egregiously overpriced and under portioned and a lot of them meat tastes the same so I'm wondering how often they clean their grills. And for a place that is so popular you would think that their Carne Asada would be top-tier, but it really just doesn't hit. I will say that the salsas are pretty good, but you absolutely need to compliment the subpar tacos.

We left Disney early due to the rain and found Tacos Los Cholos in Anaheim via Reddit hype from locals. The food was absolutely outstanding - I agree the best tacos are found here and the Papa Loka was a divine creation - really cheesy, open style baked potato with your choice of meat, sour cream, and this delicious orange creamy flavorful sauce on the side. There is a condiment/salsa bar which is generous. For everything we chose our meat base as Carne Asada and were very pleased. When you pull in you can see them working hard smoking the meats outside. However, our visit was marred by a few issues. The venue had one bar for cell service (AT&T user - possible it could have been the rain? but no thunder so idk), the overall cleanliness was lacking, and the bathroom was it's downfall - an outside gas station type stall - mixed gender that you need a code for. It was very unpleasant and awkward to stand and wait bc you're in the way of where they are bringing the meat from the outside grills into the kitchen - a major design flaw. I feel like every dining establishment should have proper bathrooms. Also, the door to the establishment was awkward, contributing to a generally chaotic and stressful vibe of this spot. Parking is a challenge, but possible if not too busy, then there is a paid lot behind this venue. If you're willing to overlook a less-than-perfect ambiance for truly outstanding food, this spot might be worth a try. Otherwise, you might want to look elsewhere for a more comfortable dining experience.

Line wraps around to sidewalk, ordering seems fast with a kiosk and booth, then you pick up by number. Tight tight parking lot, but maybe u get lucky. Around 9pm Friday seemed to have less line, but full lot. You can see the meat be grilled outside. But you can also skip the line and order online to get takeout, you just might miss on some secret menu items and chips (?). They put quite a lot of meat on the tacos, but the ones ordered in restaraunt definitely look better. I think the bathroom is but the entrance. Takeout took like 20 minutes to prepare, you order first then grab a table. Theres toppings/sauce bar both inside and outside with plenty of utensils needed and the workers are friendly and efficient ( very self serve). Turnover for seats is fast and plenty, with heat lamps outside. I got 3 tacos (regular), , 1 carne asada, 1 chorizo, one and 1 carne asada amh taco. Requested peppers on the side but didn't receive. The additional guac for 1.56 comes in a deli short sauce container so decent amount for a taco placem. Tacos: not a consseiour, but good portion, not oily, but not much flavor? A bit dry. The chorizo was surprisingly dryer and meatier than I expected from other taco places Amh taco: the cheese really adds a nice sharp flavor so the keto ones might be good. I didn't really care for the pepper embedded cuz it was kind of like cooked bell pepper. Take out comes with onion/cilantro, and limes. Top it yourselfI actually quite liked the sauces! But their basic sauces are meh ( the green salsa). The red sauce was interesting and weird- very smokey and cayenne/capsicum heat. The avocado cream sauce wasn't too creamy but light. The chimchurri sauce is a cream spicy sauce ( quite good). In the sauce bar it comes with pickled onions, pico de gallon, onions, cilantro, cucumbers /radish. Tried a sip of their horchata- very distinct rice milk flavor. A bit cinnamon, their drinks are solid portions Secretly the highlight of the food was the onions which were surprisingly sweet. I feel like it definitely taste better with all the toppings. Overall, I wouldn't call it lifechanging amazing, but the portions were good for the price. Maybe the prime/premium meat is where its at at the cost of the price. I felt like the experience was efficient and casual vibes. The pick up lady is very nice!

Finally and at long last I'm finally having tacos in Los Angeles!!! I was told that this area was the only place to get the authentic tacos and wasn't steered wrong at all!!This place was it's almost exactly as I pictured!! All the cooking was done outside in the parking lot with all of the grills going. Line was insanely long and yet organized.Simple decor with lots of tables and chairs. Once you order you're given a number and from there you must find a table where the servers will bring you your food. And oh my goodness such delicious food it was!! Pork belly, rib eye, chorizo, skirt steak, intestines and papa loka just to name some of the awesome dishes we had!!!

The wait at this place was incredibly long, with an extensive line that seemed to move at a slow pace. Parking was also a major challenge, there were very few spaces available, and if you managed to find one, it felt like pure luck. If you're planning to visit, you might want to cross your fingers and hope for a parking spot to open up.Despite the long wait, the food was absolutely beyond expectations. Every dish we tried was exceptionally good and packed with flavor. The tacos, in particular, were a highlight of the meal. We especially loved the filet mignon taco, it was perfectly cooked, tender, and incredibly delicious. The quality of the food made the wait much more bearable, but unfortunately, the way seating was handled was frustrating and disappointing. One of the biggest issues we encountered was that some people were being seated without a number, skipping ahead of those who had been waiting patiently in line. Even worse, there were guests who had already finished eating but remained at their tables, chatting away with no plates in front of them, while others stood in line, waiting for a chance to sit down and enjoy their meals. This place is clearly not meant for people to lounge around and have long conversations after they're done eating, especially considering how crowded it gets and how many people are waiting to be seated. It was honestly frustrating to see some guests lingering at their tables while others, including us, were waiting for a long time just to get a seat. The family sitting next to us had barely even received their number by the time we had already finished our meal. The situation was made worse by the fact that the staff, although extremely kind and welcoming, didn't enforce any structure when it came to seating. Their friendly nature was likely the reason why no one was asked to leave their tables after they were done eating, even when they were clearly no longer dining and just occupying space. If you plan on visiting this place, be prepared to witness a lot of inconsiderate behavior from other guests. It was genuinely baffling to see so many people sitting there comfortably while others stood around with trays of food, waiting for a table. What surprised me even more was that these people showed no sense of awareness or guilt about taking up space while others were struggling to find a seat. Given the setup of this restaurant, where there aren't extra chairs for people to wait, it was even more frustrating to see.Overall, while the food was fantastic and absolutely worth trying, the experience was soured by the lack of structure in seating and the inconsiderate behavior of some guests. If you're planning to eat here, just be prepared for a long wait, difficult parking, and the possibility of encountering people who seem to lack common sense when it comes to making space for others.
