I'm surprised with myself that we returned a lot sooner than I had expected. My wife said she wanted tacos, so I said, "where?", and she said El Fogón.This visit I decided to try the Lengua taco and it did not disappoint. I went with two tripa tacos and as good as it was, there's just something about how they prepare it that just doesn't appeal to me. However, I really like the chicharon the best. We also tried the esquites and I think I prefer it made this way instead of the whole corn on the cob Can't wait to return again.

Last night my boyfriend ordered el pastor tacos, I have 2 tripa tacos and 2 buche tacos, and we shared buche fries. All last night I kept waking up running to the restroom. I had to call off work today because I can even finish getting ready for work this morning without running to the restroom.I don't think it was the buche fries or my buche tacos because my boyfriend didn't get sick.I want to say it was the tripa tacos! I love tripa tacos. I have never had any that made me this sick. Maybe cook the tripas all the way next time.

I remember when Tacos El Fogon first opened back in 2019. At that time, I didn't think it would last because it was built across the street from the trendy Marisco restaurant called Taco Nazo. It's been nearly four years since I last visited Tacos El Fogon, so I decided to stop by with my wife for a quick bite.We went on a Saturday afternoon, and I was surprised at how busy it was. The private parking lot was full, but we found plenty of street parking. Inside, the ambiance had the typical Mexican restaurant vibe with TVs, and the table and chair style gave me the feeling of being in Ensenada. We ordered two asada vampiros, one vampiro al pastor, and a coke for $21.74, which was a great deal considering the size of the vampiros. This place makes all of its tortillas by hand and has a station. It took about 10 minutes to make, giving us enough time to get some delicious condiments at their bar.I tried my best to capture the size of our vampiros and how much meat they had in my pictures. We also grabbed some salsas and grilled onions, but honestly itnreally didnt need anything else. The vampiro was delicious, and the al pastor was perfectly cooked and had a lot of flavors. The guacamole tasted fresh, and the tortilla was sturdy enough to hold everything together. This place also offers something I have never seen before in any restaurant: free slices of cucumber with lime, salt, and tajin to cleanse your palate. In conclusion, this place is the real deal for vampiros. While their menu has a variety of options to choose from, I highly recommend trying their vampiros. It seems we now have two trendy Mexican spots in this area. I will be coming back.

This place is bomb! I was not expecting to be blown away by the food! You order up at the counter then wait for your number to be called. I got the queso Birria tacos and a side of rice and they are sooo good!I think the pricing is good for what you get and the quality of it. The parking lot is a bit small but there still is street parking. There is plenty of seating too. It's pretty loud and hectic inside though. Overall, 10/10 and I can't wait to be back!

Every time I try a new restaurant, I hope it will be one of those places where I'm left shaking my head in disbelief at how incredible it is--somewhere I can't wait to return to. Well, this is that place. Out of all the Mexican spots I've visited, this might just be my absolute favorite!Huge thanks to Paulina for her fantastic customer service. She guided me through the menu, helping me decide what to order. I went with the Tostada called Vampiro and the Quesataco, a three-taco plate, and wow--the flavors were unreal. The crunch of the Tostada, the perfectly melted cheese, the tender pork and beef, plus the freshness of every ingredient created a symphony of flavor in every bite! They even served a side of beef jus to dip the tacos in, which was unbelievably delicious. And the salsa! Both the salsa verde and the red salsa were out of this world.I can't wait to come back and try more from this gem. If you love authentic, high-quality Mexican food, you have to check this place out!
