I always get the birria quesa taco, the birria meat is super flavorful, the corn tortilla is partially crispy and partially soaked in consume (you honestly don't need the extra side of broth), it hits the spot every time!

I was craving birria tacos and came across this place on Yelp. FYI, they are located on the property of St. George's Episcopal Church off of Avenida De La Carlota in Laguna Hills. Just drive into their parking lot and you'll see the taco stand.I went on a Tuesday and ordered their Taco Tuesday special, which was 3 Birria Quesa Tacos w/ Consume for $12. That's definitely a good deal! There was only 1 customer in line before me, but the wait took at least 15-20 minutes. The lady who took my order was super friendly to the customer before me, but it seemed like that person was a regular customer. She wasn't as friendly to me.They have a few tables outside to eat, but I decided to get my order to go. When I got home and opened the box, I noticed how greasy the tacos were. Now of course I'd expect birria tacos with quesa to be greasy, but not THAT greasy. I literally had to use 5-6 paper towels to soak up all of the grease from the tacos before I attempted to eat them. The overall taste of the tacos were good, but I couldn't get past the grease. I only ate 1-1/2 tacos because I felt like if I ate any more, I'd have a heart attack. I wouldn't return for this reason.

These tacos are it guys. Made with love, crispy, packed with juicy meat and double tortillas, and a good ratio of cheese it's no surprise how much time is put into making these birria tacos. They have a wide selection of food to choose from in their menu. It can be oily, it can cause some reflux after you eat more than 3.. BUT you forget about all that when you are devouring them. Nothing that a lil' tums can't fix later. It is located in a corner next to a church and a daycare center so parking can be tricky but if you order ahead and take it to go I find that's easier rather than eating on site. Our office always places large orders and we even had one of their employees deliver to us once and they never do that. Appreciate that they really go above and beyond. I have tried their horchata and Jamaica drinks and they are not too sweet or watery. There is seating on the sides so they make enough room for those who do wanna get the full experience. I've never come during the evening, only lunch time and it's busy but not overwhelming. Area is nice for being on a busy Main Street.

Friendly service, good variety and good intro to Mexican for Aliso Viejo. Local spot which is always nice, but it picked a location all mom and pop shops go to die...It's as authentic and as good as the El Pollo Loco across the street. in fact, the Birria from El Pollo loco might be better. Overly salty, not enough cilantro and onion, tacos dorados that was soggy despite having oil all over it, and consome might as well be salt water with Knott's beef bouillon powder and paprika.I have a feeling you guys are toning it down for the locals... Keep the oil in the consome, use more chiles, and provide more than 1 line for 3 tacos.

Kept seeing this place all over social media and wanted to give it a try! It was decent/but not to die for birria tacos. It is definitely a little overpriced which doesn't appease to the taste. It's located right outside of a church. I did wish the tacos were a bit crunchier!

I absolutely LOVE this place! From the service (they go over and beyond), to the food (authentic & flavorful), to the takeout experience, everything has been great! The location is small but has a cute patio area that they have "beautied" up. We have done catering with them, and though you can't order on their website, when you call they are more than willing to put in your order! And they are generous with their portions. Recently I had a take out order and just wanted to highlight on how well packaged and separated it was so it wasn't a soggy mess. Well done!

The food was good but was a bit lacking in flavor. The birria burrito tasted quite bland. It didn't have much spice or kick to it. The consome was also bland which was a bit disappointing. The meat was pretty tender at least. I'll try to come back and try the tacos which might be more what they're known for.The restaurant only has outdoor seating. It is located right outside of a church. It's a little warm during the summer around lunch time. The service was fairly quick.

BEWARE! They double charge on Door Dash orders!!!I paid on Door Dash to pick up my order at their restaurant. Unfortunately, the person in the pick up area said my charge did not go through. I told him, I paid already and he kept arguing with me. So, I paid the order again. It turns out it did go through. So now I have two charges and I am fighting with my credit card company. To add more insult to injury, they did not put the birria consume with my birria tacos! I am so disappointed. Now I am stuck with two charges and wasting my time fighting my credit card.

I ordered a quesa birria taco, a shrimp taco and carne asada taco. I was disappointed when all of them came with cheese when i didn't order them all to be quesa tacos. the gentleman taking my order was friendly. service is a little slow. it's a pretty random spot for a restaurant. but the outdoor seating area is nice..i thought the tacos were just "okay"... the tortilla tasted a bit bitter. the carne asada was chunky. all the tacos were very skimpy, there was more cheese than meat. as soon as i got home though, I got food poisoning. my stomach was soooooo upset. it's safe to safe, i won't be back :(
