This neighborhood eatery is so real and gooood! Authentic and actually lived up to the hype by my cousins! I got the mapo fish soft tofu which was cooked perfectly. The stewed lion's head meatballs reminded me of my mama's TT_TT yum~ The spicy wonton filling is flavorful even on its own... I started scarfing them down before I realized i forgot to take pictures. The choose your own cold dishes were all delicious. Last not least, I'm excited to see millet porridge!! This tasty bowl of goodness helps with digestion, pH and just feels so good. Oliver Twist would definitely ask for some more. Rice is included yall! This needs to be an essential service back in all Chinese restaurants.The restaurant is clean, the auntie seats you, gives you tea on the house, takes your order and then goes to the back to cook for you!! And the dishes still come out hot and fast. Yall gotta come fill this place up so she can hire some more help. There's a sign on the door saying they're committed to having the best price all around and it's true. I felt safe yall. So welcoming. I found my new place.

I ordered takeout from Szechwan Garden in Artesia, and everything was so flavorful! I got the Dan Dan noodles and peanut noodles, and both were amazing. The Dan Dan noodles had just the right amount of spice and that bold, savory flavor I was craving. The peanut noodles were creamy, nutty, and super satisfying--definitely something I'd order again.I also tried the pig ears and peanuts, and wow, they were so good! The pig ears had a great texture, and the peanuts had the perfect crunch with mouth numbing spice. It's such a simple dish but done so well.Even as takeout, everything was fresh and packed neatly, which I really appreciated. Can't wait to try more from their menu next time!

Hole in the wall, but unfortunately the food is not good. Beef noodle soup, broth is sweet and watery. Pan fried dumplings are okay... no soy sauce paste with it.Pork chop noodle soup is very salty and nothing special. Customer service is bad.Would not recommend this place, Shang Jie is right there, I would rather go there.

Absolutely terrible service the owner/lady (?) completely ignored us talked to her friends the whole time and we waited on our baos for a long time and had to ask her for them until she finally ran to the back to serve them to us. Not to mention the baos were pretty cold because they were probably done and just sitting there waiting to be served. I would give 0 stars if I could but fine, I'll give 1 star because the beef noodle soup was average

Foot is awesome and price reasonable. Very good. Beef Noodle is my favorite, have to try .

Food good, service none. We like to get their 小菜 (side dishes) and 担担面 (dan dan noodles) and will usually get it to-go. We recently decided to dine in and essentially had to physically call the staff in the kitchen to come serve us. We could've easily dined and dashed considering there was no one behind the register for a solid twenty minutes (that was until we called them out for the check). Come for the food, but don't expect a warm welcome.

I stopped by here to get some appetizers while I waited for another food order next door. I want to say the time was about 11AM and then just opened not too long ago.I entered the place, no customers in sight. The appetizer cart was out and ready to go. I checked out the options and called for some help. The Chinese lady came out and said, you better not take too long because it is very busy today and I have a lot of pick up orders. Damn, good morning to you too lady. Fortunately, I have come to a realization that most chinese places aren't too big on customer service. The saving grace was the awesomely priced 3 item appetizer and the fantastic tasting food. Hence, only one start docked for the rude cashier lady.I ordered the spicy beef slices, shredded vinegar potatoes and pickled fermented string beans. They were all perfectly seasoned and paired well with a bowl of white rice. Though the service was not good, I can look past it for as long as the food stays well made.

This is a family run restaurant. Ive been coming here for years (maybe almost 10). Usually the dad is cooking in the back and the sons are waiting the tables. The place is a little run down but it doesnt really matter for me. The side dishes are very good. I usually like getting the pig ear and the peanuts. Sometimes when coming here around dinner time they have run out of the more popular ones. I know a lot of people come here just for the side dishes. As for their dishes, my favorite is the dandan noodles. I get it every time. Its not too spicy and has tons of meat under. Definitely a homey comforting feel when I eat it. The rice cakes are usually a little oily but theyre so good when dipped in the dandan noodle sauce. There usually is a lot of extra sauce and ground meat so I can take it home and make another batch with the leftovers.

Negative one star or negative five stars if Yelp had the option. I went in looking forward to dining but it was all downhill after the service from the lady (boss/server). I ordered an appetizer dish and took time to decide on a main dish. She had a sour puckered face when I gave her my choice. When I placed my order for the main dish the lady scoffed, rolled her eyes and said "that's it?". Yes, that's all I wanted and what I got wasn't even what I wanted because of the poor menu description or lack there of. When I asked about the fish soup (which was fried fish on a plate and a bowl of noodles in soup) I received the lady made it a point to tell me I was wrong for not understanding the Chinese name for the dish. Somehow "boneless fish" describes fried fish, I should have known according to the lady. I had also asked about rice noodles and she didn't understand the word "rice", which seems puzzling considering rice is a common ingredient in the cuisine her establishment provides.I am extremely disappointed by the attitude of this lady. I will happily not recommend this dining establishment for this lady cares nothing but for herself and certainly not the customers. Also the main dish ordered seemed to be put together like it was something made at home and not a restaurant menu item.Stay away, this dining establishment will leave you sorely disappointed.

We give this restaurant MINUS - minus rating !!. No respects for seniors , use F... words , yelling , cursing and many more My husband is 79 years of age and we ordered 2 lunch specials , but the girl taking orders made a mistake . INSTEAD of giving us lunch special she handed out with the bill of $45 !!! which was dinner menu My husband politely told the lady that this is a mistake and if he wanted the lunch special which includes soup and 1 egg roll to the lunch He offered the lady that he will pay the extra money but the owner kept yelling and using dirty words in chinese and gestured him to get out there was a customer who heard and saw the whole deal He met my husband outside the restaurant and was feeling so sympathetic to my husband due to his age We and our family have 3 different business around that area of the restaurant VERY RUDE VERY IGNORANT NO BUSINESS EXPERIENCE .TERRIBLE TERRIBLE ! NO RESPECTS FOR SENIORS We are going to file a complain with better business department our family has several business in a shopping area across from the restaurantThis is what happens when you have no business even after offering customers many coupons the owners take out their frustration on the customers VERY SAD !!!The gentleman how was there at the time of this problem gave us his phone number THANK GOD
