Sweetee Thai Cafe

I was in Artesia for work today and got a sudden craving for Thai food. I remembered a spot on South Street that I had tried a while ago and loved, so I decided to give it another go. I'm so glad I did! The food was just as amazing as I remembered.I went with a few friends and we ordered a bunch of dishes to share. I got the seafood dish, and honestly, it was a solid 10/10. Fresh, flavorful, and just perfect. I also tried the crab fried rice, which was packed with real, fresh crab--definitely a winner in my book.My friends ordered the fried mussels, along with a couple of other dishes, and everything was so good! We ended on a high note with Thai French toast for dessert... It was bomb! Seriously, don't skip it.Highly recommend this place if you're in the area. Everything is consistently great, and I'll definitely be back next time I'm craving Thai

So it does seem that there is a service charge here that a lot of people are complaining about, things really do add up here (I'm trying not to hold this against them). The service can be a bit slow, they are pretty understaffed during the busy hours it seems. The food is always delicious though and the ambiance is not bad. Dropped by for a quick lunch bite and it was quite good. We ordered Spicy Chicken and Green curry and both were good. I deducted a star because water did not taste good and chicken dish had some cartilidge in it. Green Curry was the best !

This restaurant was absolutely amazing! It was our first time going and we were not disappointed!First we ordered the chicken satay and it was so juicy, and paired with the peanut sauce, it was incredible. We also ordered spicy fried rice with chicken in the medium spice level. It was so good with a burst of flavors once we had a bite. Don't underestimate the heat! My parents enjoyed it but it was too spicy for me, so we ordered another regular fried rice with chicken, and looking at it seemed like it wouldn't be as flavorful but it was amazing as well! The rice was so fluffy and there was a good amount of chicken and eggs. Another dish we ordered was the chicken pad see ew. This was the only dish which didn't blow me away, and wasn't really the best pad see ew I've had. The next dish that came out was the chicken panang curry, and the curry was exceptional! I loved pairing it with the regular fried rice. It was so creamy and light.Staff here were friendly and kept on asking if everything was to our liking. The restaurant was a good size, plenty of seating available. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience here.

This cafe is very reliable for Thai food! I've been here quite a few times and I've definitely had better quality but overall it's still satisfactory and hits the spot whenever you're craving Thai. The service is extremely fast and the employees check in on you. The ambiance is like a traditional family restaurant and there's plenty of seating. Would recommend :)

Today I had the opportunity to revisit Sweetee Thai Cafe and I am glad I did.It has been a while since I've been here, and I noticed a few changes. When I visited the first time they accepted cash only, which I barely ever carry around but luckily I made a small withdrawal the day before so I lucked out. The last time I came this place was packed and today only one other table was taken during my visit. I also noted that the prices on the menu went up as well.Lunch comboLettuce was great with tasty dressing My medium spicy vegetables lunch special was outstanding I loved the wide variety of all the different vegetables and the dish had a nice kick to it!Nicely decorated restaurant. Verdict 5 stars for reasonable prices and tasty food & friendly service.10% off on Tuesday if you're 55 and older!Cheers

I genuinely don't understand why this place doesn't have 5 stars. The food is AMAZING. I'm so picky with Thai food but this place exceeds my expectations every time. I love the Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, and most of all, the Thai Boat Noodle! I crave their Thai Boat Noodle all the time because of how good it is. The service is always good too!

I recently visited Sweety Thai and got food TO GO. Initially, I got a receipt showing only the total cost and a prompt for a tip. When I asked for an itemized receipt to split the bill with friends, I found a hidden 10% service charge.It seems like the restaurant initially provided a summary receipt to hide this charge, and they even asked for a tip again. Adding a service charge is illegal in California, and their attempt to hide it is both deceptive and against the law.Check your receipts carefully if you visit this place. This dishonest practice shouldn't be tolerated. I wouldn't come here again and I'll make sure all my friends around me know about their illegal practice.

Enjoyed the food and service! Nice weekend setup. Quick meals. Busy on weekends. Would go again.
