My friend and I were stuck in traffic on the 5 on our way to Disney when we decided to find a place to stop for breakfast. I pulled out my handy dandy yelp app and found this spot just 3 minutes off the highway. When we entered the shop we immediately noticed how adorable the aesthetic is, with plant accents around a rustic decor. Considering how small the space is, you feel like you have plenty of room to relax and enjoy your coffee. The menu presented coffee classics, updated favorites and inventive creations that made it challenging to decide! Options include gingerbread chai, mazapan latte and pumpkin horchata. Their eats featured breakfast sandwiches, burritos and a specialty item called "croffles" or croissant waffles. The woman who took care of us gave us the time we needed to decide without feeling pressured or rushed. She was very sweet and provided excellent service. We opted for the croffle avocado toast and the ooey gooey ham and cheese croissant sandwich. And we both got the pumpkin chai latte, dirty with oat milk. I had the sandwich and I was quite pleased with it. I am not normally a ham person but the combination of ham with garlic herb cream cheese and a hash brown inside a croissant appealed to me. I'm glad I did, it was delicious. They used a Savory, smoky ham instead of a sweeter style. It paired perfectly with the cream cheese and hash brown. While the hashbrown was softer than I expected, I thoroughly enjoyed it nonetheless. My friend had the croffle avocado toast and she loved it. She also got a free churro donut for leaving a review! I am not choosing to take them up on the offer as I was full from the sandwich but I was able to snag a bite or two of my friend's. It had great flavor but admittedly it was a touch dry. Maybe the condensed milk on the side instead of a drizzle? The dirty pumpkin chais were fabulous. Great pumpkin flavor, great chai flavor that didn't taste like it came from a concentrate. 10/10 would get again. One small complaint, I wish we had gotten our food on a plate of some sort rather than a to go container. Even a 6" compostable would work. For my friend, it was hard for her to cut a bite as she was restricted by the container. Otherwise I loved everything. I highly recommend trying out this spot.

Let me start this review by saying that customer service is excellent. My favorite thing from here is definitely the cookie butter tres leches cake. Absolutely delicious. My rating is from my last food experience here. I tried the chorizo breakfast burrito & let me say this. I was not impressed. As a Chicana I make waaaay better chorizo burritos at home. It's simply eggs, chorizo, & cheese. Which it might appeal to some but as stated as a Chicana I did not like it. The eggs inside needed some seasoning (salt & pepper) because they tasted plain to me. The cheddar cheese with chorizo is a pass for me. I'd incorporate some beans in the burrito to make it a little more filling along with queso fresco, & avocado. Also there wasn't much chorizo in the burrito, mainly egg & for it be called a chorizo burrito the chorizo needs to stand out which it did not.The Mazapan latte was ok, but it's not something I'd go out of my way to get again. I couldn't get the taste of Mazapan up until the very end when I noticed big chunks of Mazapan at the very bottom. I'd crush that up more into a powder & blend it up in the coffee to get the Mazapan taste because those chunks just sat at the bottom which made for a sweet treat at the end but was not truly incorporated within the latte as I would have thought. I'll stick to the cookie butter tres leches cake because that is absolutely a star, some might think it's too sweet but hello it's cookie & cake combined of course it's sweet. You have to try it for yourself, I love it. Thank you to the friendly staff.

I really wanted to like this place and have held off on leaving this review because I felt bad for not supporting a new, women owned, local business, but... It's just not good):I ordered a hot latte but it was made iced instead. Not the end of the world though and it tasted okay. What I really didn't care for was the food. I got a sausage, egg, and cheese burrito: small and overpriced. I didn't even finish it. Very little potato in it, a few shreds, but it wasn't noticeable in the taste. There was also no sausage, not sure what happened there. The texture of the eggs was crumbly. Not sure if they mix cheese into them? Had a hard time figuring out where the cheese was, too. Overall didn't care for the taste, or lack thereof. The churro donut had an okay flavor but overall was dry. I didn't finish that either.Likely won't go back. Glad to see others enjoy it though!

Tired of Starbucks for lunch, so I saw this cute coffee shop on my maps and decided to give it a try. I walked in and I was greeted right away, the cashier was super helpful and nice. I ordered a Large iced caramel macchiato for my drink. The cashier suggested the ooey goey croissant sandwich and she got me with hash brown inside the sandwich It is so good! The taste is amazing, very well done, I recommend it. The portion size is perfect too. My macchiato was perfect, coffee taste is a 10/10! This coffee shop deserves more attention. I will def be returning soon to try the pastries! Thank you Sugar and Spice Cafe!

Finally had a chance to stop this coffee. I follow them on instagram, I wanted to give it a try. It's easy to miss, because it's mostly a business plaza. I was quickly greeted by whom I assume is the owner. Super friendly and gave me great suggestions, but I ordered my usually an iced lavender latte. I really wanted to try their biscotti pastry, mentioned she had just finished baking them, but I'm going to have to come back another time. Great selection of drinks, some unique ones too. I wish them the best of luck, she mentioned they had only been open since last September.

If you know me, you know I'm not a big coffee person. But I will get down with some matcha. Barista here was able to whip me up a matcha with ube cold foam! It was delicious. I'm so proud of small businesses. I admire their desire to share their talent with the community and become steadfast in their efforts to make a name for themselves. The staff here were so friendly and welcoming. I look forward to coming back. They aren't rude or snobby coffee people, just real genuine and nice. We were able to enjoy a couple breakfast sandwiches in their dining area. There's plenty of seating to enjoy your coffee and pastries. I don't mind spending money at a small business like this one, I will easily drop money to try a bunch of things on their menu. My girls loved their cookie butter tres leches cake. We've never tried anything like it. They have other flavors now too. I saw on their instagram there's a matcha flavored one. I can't wait to try that next time I visit.

First time visiting this cafe. The space is open and clean. There are no prices anywhere in the store, so I had to ask. The owner(?) informed me that specialty drinks start at $5.25 and I believe the pastry case starts at $3-4. Mondays & Tuesdays there is a Drink + Sandwich Deal for $8. They do not have mini muffins for the check-in and are using churro donuts instead, but they were out of stock. I ordered an ube latte and a bacon, egg & cheese sandwich for the deal. I did not realize the latte did not have espresso until after I received the drink. It tasted mainly like milk, so I went back for espresso. I was told that it would be $2.00+tax for a double shot of espresso. I couldn't drink the ube milk by itself, so I gave in and spent the extra $$. I did not feel like I had a great deal at that point. The espresso tasted great though and it makes sense because they use Klatch coffee. When I got home, I saw that I was charged and given a pesto, egg, and cheese, which is not what I ordered. I ate it though. It tasted pretty good. I would try this cafe again, but I'm not rushing to return.

PARKING (4/5):Lots of parking in the plaza AMBIANCE (2/5):Not really a place to sit & hangout, it's kind of in an empty plaza.FOOD (2/5):I really wanted to like this place, but it was terrible. The hash brown was SO THIN & just a poor excuse for a hash brown. Never have I ever been so disappointed (SEE PHOTO). The croissant breakfast sandwich was ok, but they burnt the croissant when toasting to melt the cheese. OVERALL (2.5/5):I will not be back. They have good reviews because they give a free food item if you leave a 5-STAR review on Yelp. The cashier WAS SO NICE! So I feel bad leaving a bad review, but this is my opinion. I also didn't get any coffee, maybe the coffee is amazing? This is purely a food review.
