Such fresh tasty pasta! The noodles were cooked al dente and had that perfect bite and the sauces were fresh and flavorful. The vodka sauce was rich and the cacio e pepe sauce was salty (not overly), cheesy and nutty. The butter cake was also rich and crumbly, but not overly buttery! This place is a little on the pricier side and I'd recommend paying a little extra for the full portion! They do close their kitchen between lunch and dinner so just keep that in mind when going, and they also get relatively busy on the weekends (on a Sunday at 12:30 we waited around 20 mins).I believe our server's name was Gabe and he was very kind and helpful!

I was disappointed with this location, which is unfortunate because I really wanted to love it. Old town Tustin is such a great place to dine. Unfortunately, the bad service stole the show, and the cold food wasn't far behind. The seating arrangements are also overly crowded and made it difficult to get in and out. We actually chose this location because there was no wait to be seated and we had somewhere to be after our meal. After being seated promptly, a waitress was nowhere to be found. After 15 minutes, I eventually went to the host to ask if we were going to be helped. Eventually, the waitress came by and apologized for taking so long, but continued to be MIA all evening even after giving constant apologies, "so sorry I took so long, what would you like?"SERVICE (1/5)- Unfortunately, the service here is what ruined the experience. The few times we did see our waitress, she would give a quick apology and would do the same thing. The place was not even very busy. She brought cold food out, did not explain the salad dressing. Never even attempted to make things right.Salad (2/5)- We ordered a salad to share with Italian salad dressing, but it seemed that we just got a cup of oil. Eventually after speaking to a server, we find there is a little bit of seasoning at the bottom and we need to stir it up... ummm? Would have been nice if our server told us that, since I typically don't put the whole dressing on and just use a little, which turned out to be pure oil without mixing. The salad was also not very fresh at all.Cacio e Pepe (2/5)- dish came out cold, so I sent it back. This probably says more about the service than the dish unfortunately. The bite I did try has good texture on the pasta, but lacked flavor/salt. Would not order again. Side of sausage (5/5)- this was actually delicious and super flavorful. Large portion. This was intended to add to my cacio e Pepe dish, but ended up being my meal since I had to send my cold dish back. Ragu di carne (5/5)- I am not normally a tomato sauce fan, but this was an amazing dish. The flat noodles were perfect, and the tomato sauce had great flavor and a good amount was put on the pasta (was not dry, was not drenched). Much of the food was flavorful and delicious, but because of the terrible service we will not be back.

UPDATE! Not only did they not refund the item that was missing, they charged us for a second time! Now they're down to one star.We had been to this restaurant a few times, once during COVID and we sat outside so we decided to order take out. I ordered a chopped salad, which is Chopped Romaine Lettuce, Radicchio, Fennel, Red Onion, Ceci Beans, Chopped Tomato, French Nicoise Olives & Shaved Parmigiano Cheese. I also ordered veal while my boyfriend ordered pasta and Pasta e Fagioli. The Pasta e Fagioli was missing and the salad was not what I ordered. I could have made a better salad out of Ralph's shredded lettuce, garbanzo beans and tomatoes, as this was all that I received. No onion, fennel, French Nicoise Olives or shaved Parmesan cheese. When I called the restaurant, I was told that what I received was a chopped salad. I was told that next time we ordered, they could comp the soup. It's not comped if we paid for it. The person who was telling me this finally came back to the phone and said that they could process a refund for the Pasta e Fagioli. Ridiculous. Never again.

Storico Spaghetteria is a beautiful little Italian restaurant with a nice little bodega like gelato shop and market inside. The place is small and the seats and tables are arranged very close to eachother but it's still a very charming little place. They don't take reservations for any party smaller than 6 so make sure to get there and put your name on the waiting list. To start off I got their Pan De La Casa which is just their focaccia bread with olive oil and vinegar. Along with that I had to get the calamari and Caccia y Peppe. The Calamari was nice and crispy with good flavor and red sauce dip as well. The caccia y peppe is usually one of my favorite Italian small dishes but something about this version just didn't do it for me. Lastly I had ordered Gamberi e Proscuitto which had the thick pasta which is one of my favorites. The shrimp has great texture and flavor and the best part is that they have half portions so you get to try lots of different things. Service was very good and friendly as well and definitely a place I highly recommend to experience.

All I can say is damn lol. This has to be a top 3 Italian in Orange County for sure. We ordered the calamari to start and had the Cacio E Pepe and the Salsiccia. Unreal! Both pastas were amazing! The place doesn't have a lot of thrill to it, very chill vibe and ambiance. Will definitely only be coming here for Italian!!

My husband and I really enjoyed our date night here. He got the full sized vongle pasta which he said was good, 8/10. I loved that they had a gluten free pasta (penne) option. I got the half sized carbonara with the gluten free penne, and it was yummy! 8/10 for me (kind of wish I got the full size.) We also got the bomba exotic for dessert, which was dark chocolate and vanilla gelato, had some cinnamon and maraschino cherry (which I didn't care for) and a dark chocolate shell. I thought it was a bit expensive at $12, would've rather paid around $8 or $9 for it. Service was good. The restaurant gets quite busy. We went on a Thursday night and didn't have to wait at 6pm, but others who came around 7pm had to. Parking was a little busy, we couldn't find a spot in the lot but we parked nearby on the street.Overall, we would come back again because we want to try other types of pastas available. :)

Still my favorite Italian restaurant in Orange County. Pasta is always cooked al dente and fresh. The ragu di carne is my favorite sauce followed by the carbonara. They have a lot of other sauces that sound great, but it's hard to not order one of my favorites. They also have different meats as well as a sampler on the menu if you want to add additional protein to your pasta. I usually come right when they open because they do get pretty busy around 5-6pm.

Wonderful Italian restaurant in the heart of downtown Tustin. Their carbonara, while not a saucy dish, had the perfect amount of a spicy hint from the black pepper and a wonderful al dente texture. I loved the warm, rustic interior and the even warmer service from my waiter.

I've always driven past here and my partner and I finally decided to give it a try. Upon walking in, it's a pretty large restaurant compared to neighboring business in old town. There seems to be two parts, the cafe and the restaurant. The restaurant had a rustic vibeWe only had drinks and appetizers. Their cocktail list consisted of over 10 recipes, however, the drinks were very simple. Nothing wrong with sticking to the basics, but I feel they could've been more inventive. As for the appetizers, we for the pane della casa and the coccoli con prosciutto e stracchino. The house focaccia bread was solid, nothing out of the ordinary. The coccoli caught our eyes, as it seemed unique, so we asked our waitress about it and she suggested we order it. Unfortunately it was something I wouldn't order again. What was described as fried dumplings were more biscuits than anything and the prosciutto was rolled into a tangly mess instead of arranged into their thin slices. To me, the texture was different than what I would have hoped for and there was a slight aftertaste as well. As far as our service went, our waitress was attentive enough at first. But after we got our orders in and her shift was nearing it's end, we were entirely off her radar. She seemed to be doing cleaning duties to start closing the restaurant. We waited anywhere from 7-10 minutes to get our check and boxes. While I understand we came to the pasta place to end up only getting appetizers, I would've hoped they were more well rounded. I've heard great things about their pasta, so I'm not opposed to coming back to give them another shot in my books
