Stacks (on Route 66) is unflattering chaos. I bite into my country fried steak, and I spit out rubbery cartilage twice. (photos attached) The location over-seats tables, and I am surrounded by frustrated servers getting overwhelmed and loud irritated families complaining about slow service.I arrived on a weekday at 10:20AM. I was immediately sat down. My server never returned, so I waved someone down to give an order. I ordered the Country Fried Steak ($17.99). The dish includes eggs, hash browns, and pancakes. I waited 15 minutes. The pancakes are thick, warm, and bouncy. The scrambled eggs are soft and fluffy. And the hash browns are crisp and tender despite being a little salty. Unfortunately, similar to the frantic servers, the country fried steak's meat patty was rushed. I had to spit out two inedible flaps of rubbery cartilage.I can hear the table beside me complain about slow service. Stacks (Route 66) over-sat customers, and the dining experience result was uncomfortable and impersonal service. I rarely saw my server (Sophia). Thankfully, the other male staff member helped with my order. This diner's food portions are generous. Unfortunately, Stacks provides a chaotic, uncomfortable experience. I can't recommend.
