I recently dined at the newly renovated Splashes and was thoroughly impressed by both the quality of the food and the exceptional service. The ambiance has been beautifully updated, creating a welcoming and modern atmosphere. As for the food, every dish was expertly prepared and absolutely delicious, showcasing fresh ingredients and a perfect balance of flavors. Our server, Alfredo, truly made the experience even more enjoyable. He was not only attentive but also genuine and personable, making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. It's rare to find such excellent service paired with top-notch cuisine, and Splashes has definitely earned a spot on my list of favorite places to dine.I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal in a fantastic setting. I'll certainly be back!

First review of the year (kind of), but more of a well-deserved shoutout! This was our second visit to Splashes, this time for a late Valentine's Day dinner. We were seated outside, and everything was perfect--the weather, the view of the ocean, and the stunning sunset. The real highlight of the night? Our waiter, Alfredo. He was awesome! incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive--going above and beyond to make our experience exceptional. As always, the food was delicious! Both in presentation and flavor. And I have to mention the espresso martini... one of my top faves would be Splashes' version.Hubby and I are already looking forward to our next visit!

Stayed at this hotel for a recent event and ate here twice. Lunch (tacos) was okay but dinner was amazing. Salmon is cooked very well. I don't even like lobster bisque but on a whim decided it try theirs and it was the best soup I've ever had. Staff is very attentive and friendly. They give you two little chocolates after dinner - very nice. The restaurant is at the edge of the hotel so you can look right out to the ocean. Great views!Beware that it is PRICEY. Tacos were $33 before tip. Soup and salmon came to $74 before tip.

Splashes in Laguna Beach is a fantastic spot for breakfast with an unbeatable atmosphere right by the ocean. The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful, making for a perfect start to the day. Our server, Alma, was lovely--attentive without being intrusive, making the experience even better. Valet parking is available, but there's also some street parking if you prefer. Whether for the view, the service, or the food, Splashes is definitely worth a visit!

Firstly, valet parking is easily accessible and the view here is beautiful!I love going out on Valentine's Day but my husband always says food and service isn't great anywhere on holidays, and even he was thouroughly surprised by how good this Valentine's Day dinner was!Thank you George for great service, and for the delicious food, all coming out at their right temperatures. My favorite was the oyster trio, and seabass as a main dish. My husband loved the lobster soup and wagyu steak. Good blue cheese olives are a must for me in a martini and they delivered. While the snapper crudo was just ok, the scallop and pork belly were, we both agreed, our favorite dish.

We started w bread appetizer and it was day old warmed up. Not even warm in the center. The squash was next & that also was rewarmed & not hot. Both the entrees were also just luke warm. I gave it a 3 stars because the staff was amazing & so was the view. Otherwise im not going back to an overpriced meal that was subpar. Sorry to have to make this review at one of my favorite past time spots. The new renovation of the hotel was originally what made me go check out the new restaurant. Disappointed a lot.

We decided to try splashes for our anniversary dinner. I was hesitant going here since the review weren't so promising but the place was such a pleasant surprise. They recently completed a 9-month remodel and it reminds me of the Italian amalfi coast. Beautiful ocean and sunset views that make a great backdrop to a meal that is sure to be a treat. The server who may have been a sommelier was great with his recommendations for wine and champagne. The bread service is a must - soft and airy with a hint of sweet and saltiness. We ordered the hamachi tartar along with the oyster trio with champagne mignonette. The scallops are amazing and the blood orange gel is so unique. The seared halibut could've used some oomph to the dish. For dessert, the server gave us the crème brûlée for our anniversary and we ordered the tropical sorbet with espressos. Espressos were so good! All in all, very nice ambiance, food and service. I would be going back.

Splashes is what I call "fake nice" and not worth the price tag. My husband and I were in town celebrating our anniversary and he surprised me with a reservation here. We didn't know but they just opened after a 9 month renovation. This was our impression:Ambiance: 2/5: beautiful modern decor but the lights were way too bright for our 8:45 pm reservation, there was no background music and if you're not by the small wall near the water, you'd have no idea it was even there. I get you're supposed to hear the waves "splash" but I heard more of my neighboring tables conversation or others were listening to mine than anything else. The vibes were just off and not very romantic.Food: 1/5 appears to be sophisticated concepts and plating but my "tableside" lobster bisque was cold, the scallops were $60 for 3 pieces with hard pieces of squash, & the pork chop was unevenly cooked. The bread and butter was the best dish of the evening...Service: 4/5 the only saving grace was how attentive and nice our server was. She knew the menu well and always had a smile on, checking on us frequently. We did get complimentary dessert and a glass of champagne, which was nice. The place has potential but I wouldn't come back. Felt like a big waste of money for mediocre food, dressed up like fine dining. I hate writing negative reviews, but I hope this place improves with experience to match their price and hard work renovating this space.

Me and my boyfriend came here for our anniversary and it was a great dinner overall. Cody and George were helping us out and were amazing. They also brought out a complimentary dessert which was so kind and actually so delicious (cremé brulee)I'm giving the restaurant 5 starts (ambiance, service, drinks) but the food was 4/5 to be completely honest. Like a B+. Also the view is gorgeous pretty much wherever you sit! I would come back.
