A couple days ago I had the pleasure to experience very authentic Thai food at Silk Thai Cuisine. This place is great for a date or family, and the ambiance is a Thai style with touches of modernism. We ordered several dishes: their chicken khao soi, yum woon sen, their the Rainbow fish special and a Thai dessert. Their savory chicken khao soi was very similar to eating khao soi in Chiangmai (which is famous for this dish). Their yum woon sen had the perfect balance between sour and spicy and a lot of umami.Their moo yang was a marinated grilled pork that pairs well with sticky rice (you can also ask for a similar dish called the beef crying tiger). Their dish called the Rainbow was the star of the show because almost every table in the restaurant ordered it, but make sure you bring at least two people, because it's big! It's a giant filet of fish, deep-fried and topped in a secret thai sauce that will blow your mind! For dessert, they were famous for their coconut ice cream (alas they were out of it!) but we were advised to try another addictive dessert called roti paired it with vanilla ice cream. Their owner prepared this dish in a way I've never seen it before, as the roti would be flattened similar to a pancake, but she somehow puffed it up and made it very unique and delicious. I would say this is one of the best Thai desserts I've had in a long time! A must order!! All in all, it was a wonderful experience dining here, and the price is very reasonable for the portions they serve. Highly recommended and I guarantee I'm coming back!

Let me tell you about Sandy the wonderful owner of Silk Thai. Her cuisine is like no other Thai restaurant. It's sophisticated & a whole new level compared to all the other Thai spots in Orange County. I know people who drive from down south & up north just to wet their appetite for Sandy's style of delicious Thai food. Even her lettuce is magical, . Every dish is outstanding with mouth popping flavours that will astound your senses. You are catapulted into a Thai wonderland with her food.Her crispy egg rolls, long & slender, unlike your usual. Her Crispy Rice salad, her Pad Thai, her Fresh rolls, every dish I have had is mind blowing. Her laugh, her humility, her kindness, her restaurant is a cut above & you will experience a whole new Thai cuisine upon tasting her dishes.

Great food, service, good portion sizes and presentation. Clean and comfortable dining experience. Prices are a bit high, $15.00 appetizers, but that's probably true everywhere right now. Eating out has become very expensive even in places that are average, or slightly above average. The food here is worth splurging a bit.

The interior is very nice and clean. It looks pretty modern. The pricing is decent, a little pricey to compare with my favorite Thai restaurants . Pad Thai here was delicious! It wasn't too oily, I had the right amount of sauce (some places put too much), and it wasn't dry.Tom Yum The soup was great as well. If you want good lunch special at a Thai restaurant this place is it! Coming in, it is a quiet place with not a lot of seating. However the servers will quickly notice you and make sure you are attended to. The menu was pretty good for lunch special and they included pad see ew which is normally not included in lunch special when I go to some Thai restaurants.Pad see ew lunch special- I got this with tofu and it was great! The noodles were not too soft and they separated. It was not a mushy mess like some places. They also made it spicy and the spice tolerance was definitely enjoyable. I would definitely get this! Lunch special- this included a side salad with soup and egg rolls. The soup was a little sour but like level 2 sour which was something I definitely like! The salad was enjoyable too and also the egg roll which were really thin. Overall I enjoyed the service I got because they kept coming up and filling my water and asking me if I needed anything. I would come for their lunch special.

First time here, a lovely, full menu and convenient location in Albertsons shopping center. There were 2 tables with folks inside, no one outside. I requested outside service where it was warm , and disappointed when I ended up taking my plate inside to request a "to go" box, as 1 person came to take my order, and 1 brought it and didn't come back again Maybe the servers were also cooking? Anyways not a pleasant vibe but the food was decent and a nice lunch menu included some nice surprises-soup and salad. Your mileage may vary .

In a nutshell: good food, kind staff, dog-friendly!I had a really good first experience at Silk Thai Cuisine thanks to Nicole (I think that was her name)! I actually ordered for to-go but ended up wanting to eat my food at the outdoor patio since my dog was with me. The waitress was super accommodating, friendly, and even offered water. The wait for the food was also very short (10 mins max). I was a fan of the pad thai and appreciated that they gave an appropriate amount of meat since other thai places that I've been to have skimped out. The calamari was also quite good but pricey imo considering the quantity vs the price (it was padded with fried egg noodles). However I did love the addition of ginger in the calamari! I would totally return and would love to try their curries and desserts next time.

Sandy is the owner & is such a darling. She is always smiling & happy. The food is ABSOLUTELY DIVINE! Debbie, Timmy, Mai & Tul, the servers are WONDERFUL. BEST Thai in all of Orange County. Silk Thai's flavours are a cut above the rest. We ordered sautéed vegetables with salmon & their nutty purple-brown rice, along with Chinese broccoli & shaved ginger with filet mignon. The sauces melted in our mouths. Their Thai tea & Thai coffee are by far the best tasting around. Their table side Thai spices make their dishes snap.You will experience such delight.
