I used to frequent this spot a lot but unfortunately I don't think I'll be coming back.Food:The Ramen has changed quite a bit. From the portions to the broth. The char Sui is THIN and mediocre if you've tried better spots in LA. They used to have the condiments on the tables but now you have to ask. Service:The service was okay, it was busy when I came here. I get it but this is the second occasion where they've given my food to some other table and tried to charge me for it even when I asked to cancel.

I thought it was pretty mid tbh... I like that you can customize everything from the broth richness to the noodle firmness, but that's about it. The broth was okay, noodles were good but could be firmer, and the toppings were insanely priced ($3.50 for soy marinated egg... like I get it, inflation, but $3.50?!). The portion size could be bigger, too. It was enough for me, but I typically don't eat as much as the average and usually have leftovers.A redeeming point of this place is that they have plenty of lunch combos are that a good deal and come with ramen plus another app, side, or carb!Place is small, come with 6 or less. Service is very friendly.

It's good but the images of the sides were deceiving since I thought they look huge but when they came out, everything was miniature lol. Like the cutlet, gyoza, chashu, and even the yuzu cheesecake

The food was really good here! Especially the small wings they were so yummy ! I love the service here always quick even when it is busy! The add on portions however like the chicken is really small but it was good once you add it to your ramen (:

Stopped by Shinsengumi for their anniversary ramen deal. Only $6.25 for a bowl of hakata ramen!!! Last day today (10/20) for this 50% off deal. The ramen was customizable, has optional toppings to add at your discretion, and was a very delicious, classic tonkotsu broth.Try to get seated at the counter, which I think is the best seat for an authentic experience to be able to see the kitchen making your ramen!Even if you don't come here for the occasional specials, you can expect friendly staff, quick service and delicious ramen! For instance, the server was attentive and noticed when I needed something right before I asked.

My husband and I came for lunch around 1pm on a Saturday. The parking lot is actually pretty big but it took us almost 20 minutes to find parking. There was like 10 of us cars circling the lots like vultures. The lunch period is just significantly busy because by the time we left the restaurant, there were many parking spots available after 2pm.There was a tablet by the front door and as I was putting my name in, a worker greeted us, ushered us in and we were seated immediately. There is a menu with an overview and pictures of the food but they also give you a paper menu to fill out what you want and how you want your broth and noodles to be cooked. I really like this feature as I love my noodles to be al dente. Our waitress was super nice and sweet! My husband and I were ordering 2 Hakata ramens with gyoza. She kindly recommended us to do the lunch special so we can save a couple dollars.The gyoza was tasty but not a wow factor. One side was crunchy while the rest had the steamed dumpling softness. The ramen was also pretty good but not the best I've had. I really did love the noodles and they were perfectly al dente! The broth just needed a bit more flavor even after I added some chili oil and soy sauce. It didn't have that rich profile that I usually enjoy.The ambiance was average. There was a good amount of tables inside but I can see how they could accrue a long wait if it's a really busy day. You do sit closely to other guests dining as the tables are maybe about 2 feet apart from each other.Overall, it's a good ramen place with great friendly service! But for better tasting ramen, I'd go elsewhere.

Ramen Just arriving in town, I've been craving Ramen and what better place to get but in SoCal?! Found this place through Yelp and it looked promising so I pitched it to the cousins. Came in, no wait which is good But portions of sides are tiny! If it wasn't half off, it would've been even more of a disappointment. The meat was okay, everything was just okay. Broth wasn't as flavorful as I'm used to. For 3 bowls and some sides it came out to $60.

It was amazing and I personally suggest the hataka ramen and fried rice I came beforee 2025 and we got a voucher for a discount for ramen on 1/27 and 1/28 for dinner

Came here for lunch on Sunday and their lunch specials are everyday! Our waiter was super helpful with letting us know about what to order and grouping it in our favor. The yaki ramen was huge and delicious with lots of veggies and pork without having to add any toppings. Everyone enjoyed the hakata ramen and probably a good idea to add another topping to it. the karage was piping hot and a favorite especially to my mom and she's very picky.
