I love The Source because all of my beauty stores, cafes, and bakeries are just there. It's not as crowded or too big as South Coast Plaza or Cerritos mall, so it's the right size. We decided to order in at one of the food courts there, the one on the 3rd floor I think, the very top level. The batter of tonkotsu is so good and different, it's big and crunchy! Would recommend that to share it with someone unless you have a big appetite. They will text you once your order is ready, and like any other food court, you have selections for different meals that can be paired with your order, so I ordered corn silk tea and fish cake soup from other vendors there. It's always crowded but not crazy crowded, we got the table right away despite the crazy vibe.

Shiho Donkatsu is a vendor at the food court on the top level at the Source in Buena Park. If I'm not eating at M Korean Grill or Pelicana, this is my go-to spot at the Source. I like to go for the King Donkatsu ($17.99) with a side order of curry sauce ($2.99). The King-sized portion has extra meat, which is a pretty massive serving size. I like having the curry sauce on the side because then I can alternate between bites of katsu with curry and katsu with the sweet tonkatsu sauce (which automatically comes with this combo). On this occasion, we also added two pieces of shrimp tempura ($2.99), which were also pretty tasty!Yelpers have been pretty brutal on this place as it has an average of 2.9 stars; however, I don't think it has to do with the food, which are on point. Most of the complaints have to do with wait times. We waited about 20 minutes for our order, which was fine. As a food court vendor at a korean mall, I don't really expect doting service, and I think that this food is way better than what you find at most food courts. I've always found the katsu to be consistent. The only thing that I wish I had was a spicy mustard of some sort.

BEST CURRY KATSU EVER. My boyfriend and I love coming here because they have the most amazing, delicious, unforgettable chicken curry katsu. The curry is sweet and flavorful, with no chopped up vegetables or excess food (which is how we like it) and the katsu itself is very crispy and tender. We crave it almost every week and it's definitely one of our go-to spots. The staff is always friendly and there are definitely more than enough seats to choose from so you can comfortably devour this delectable meal. It may be a bit of a wait sometimes but that's only because the katsu is cooked to order so that it can be warm and fresh for the customers. I can't explain how scrumptious this dish is so you MUST try it for yourself!ALSO if you want to take it to go, the boxes work cost you an extra 25¢ I believe. AND if you're planning on getting a refreshment like water or soda, don't forget to add it to your meal before you pay because they don't accept transactions under $5. Just a heads up!

My friend was craving some Donkatsu so we ordered some from Shiho. The portions are huge and the taste was pretty good. Wished they came with a bit more banchan. The service wasn't great, not sure if I'd be back.

This undoubtedly is the best curry katsu I've had in a long time! The chicken was cooked perfectly, it was tender, not dry, the curry was thick, not watery. I liked the salad that came with it too. It was so much food that I ended up sharing it with my daughter. Will definitely be back!

Food is class. Service is good when it's the sweet lady without glasses. Ambiance is chaotic on weekend nights.

I ordered the tempura shrimp udon here. It took some time to get our food, but the food court was busy as it was a weekend. It's a pretty clean food court with lots of different vendors. Shiho Donkatsu is located at the far end of the food court. My udon soup was really tasty and had a clean fishy undertone because of the fish cakes. The tempura was really good. It was fried in panko, not too greasy, although it was slightly over battered. My boyfriend had the chicken katsu curry. It was a very generous portion of katsu chicken, rice, slaw, curry and miso soup. The curry was so good that i dipped my tempura in it. It had a deep flavor and was not too spicy. The dressing on the slaw was really sour though and I didn't like it. Overall it was a good lunch.

This is located right next to Mao Chinese Restaurant so you can order from both places at either register. The donkatsu breading was flaky and light. However it did start to get soggy at the bottom relatively fast due to the salad which was unfortunate. The salad dressing was acidic and delicious so it was yummy to pair with rice. A bigger mound of rice would have completed the dish. I'd come here again though! Donkatsu 7/10

Order via DoorDash so katsu had a 30min journey before being eaten. The katsu remained crisp even though there was a delay in eating. The Cheese katsu was a hit with my kids.

The the pork cutlet is greasy, and it's bland because it's not properly seasoned.Lady who works here is not nice.Don't want to say she's rude, but she's kinda in between.Since it's in a food court, the atmosphere is nothing special.
