In the busy plaza off Nogalas and Gale, so it's hard to find parking during peak eating times. Came across it when trying to find parking for Sun nong DanFood is the some hot pot soups with a similar theme to Hai Di Lao where they provide hair ties and small accessories for bathroom hygiene. It's decent tasting with a nice sauce barThere's a handful of different servers walking around and some parts of seating are kind of tight without too much room to pass through. The elder lady there is pretty nice. Some of the staff get confused when it's busyNice find on a busy Friday night

This is one of the more popular spots for hot pot and for good reason; the food's great and the place is uniquely decorated. There's some set items that are at a fair price but it does lean on the more expensive side. The service varies a bit with some people treating us like we're a nuisance but also our direct server was extremely friendly so it sort of balanced out?Good food!

My family & I came here on Sunday to celebrate my dad's birthday and we had such an awful experience with our server!!!When we first arrived at the restaurant, we were seated right away even though we didn't have our whole party. It wasn't super busy, but our server already had an attitude to begin with and kept telling us to order even though we were waiting for our whole party. Maybe we shouldn't have sat down if we didn't have everyone so I guess kinda understandable that he was already rude... but also, if that was the case then they shouldn't have sat us to begin with lolOnce our whole party arrived, we ordered quite a hefty amount of food for the 6 of us and received everything pretty quickly except for our lamb plate. When letting the server know that we didn't receive it, he said he already brought it out and was obviously irritated that we even asked. My dad insisted we never received it, but the server kept accusing us that we already received it and probably ate it. (Side note: Lamb is a very distinct taste like you can't mistakenly eat it and not know you're eating lamb.) Anyways, even though my dad kept telling him that he didn't bring it out, the server continued to throw a huge tantrum and started raising his voice saying that he reviewed the receipt and already crossed it off the list. Not only that, every time we tried tried to flag him down, he straight up ignored us! We called him like about 4 times until we finally had enough and asked to speak to a manager. When the manager came out, she went to the server first and asked him whether he brought the plate out... like of course he's going to say he did like he "claimed" he did the last 5 times. Then believe it or not, the manager actually starts to back up the server and then ignores my dad and turns to me & my bf and says that he brought it out.. like??? I was so fed up at that point that I turned to her and said "No we did not receive the lamb and I don't know how many times we have to tell you this. If all 6 of us say we didn't get it, then we DIDN'T get it." And with that, they simply just walked away begrudgingly and finally gave us our lamb plate.Like I really understand that mistakes happen and the server accidentally said he delivered it, but just admit the mistake and move on like why do you have to make a whole scene in front of the restaurant raising your voice with my dad.. Not only that like if we REALLY were lying then I probably would've chosen the most expensive meat to have "not received".Anyways to top it all off, after dinner was done, the server came over with the check and said they automatically added 18% gratuity into the total lol. It was such an AWFUL experience and I rarely write reviews, but the fact that they were so rude to my dad and raising their voice and accusing us of lying just ruined the whole bday dinner. Don't get me wrong - the food was good, but the service itself made me not want to come back ever again!!!

Great flavor and reasonable prices, with a good snack bar that the kids loved. Though it's usually crowded, the outdoor seating is warm and comfortable even in winter. Service is a bit slow and could be improved, but overall, it's a great spot for friends and family gatherings.

For the vegetarians, these hot pot places I feel shouldn't represent anything, why bother? But I'm gonna anyway. While I can't say how the meat was the buffet selections and sauce choices are tugging at the poor in me. You get some solid fresh choices and tons of individually packaged snacks to pocket like grandmama did to the sweet'n'lows. But you're amongst friends here. It's almost insulting if you leave with nothing in your hands and pickets. The broth bases are good but msg has that effect on flavor. Portions are very first generation immigrants friendly. Tons of seating inside and out. There's even a basket of individual microfiber cloths for your nerd-viewers. Talkin' dirty glasses. Try and get the fried sesame balls, big or small, when they've just came out from the kitchen, the hotter the better. Dog friendly if you sit outside.

Delicious spot!! It's not like your typical hot pot place like boiling point or jazz cat. This is an a la carte place with very unique meat cuts and different variety of proteins and vegetables! It reminds me of your typical hot pot experience in China where you get all the fun but weird and super delicious options like duck blood and etc! Duck blood here is 10/10 super silky and soft. So delicious. There was a type of fish cut that we got that was very bouncy and "Q"! An unlimited snack and sauce bar, you should definitely try the little individually wrapped quail eggs! Service is great and place was super clean and very nicely decorated.

This was my second time to hot pot and I love this place, it is sooo good. The service could be a bit better, but I do like the options of food choices and the bar options. The ambiance is clean and at time can be busy so know there might be a wait sometimes.

Tried this place twice, both times for sunday dinner around 5:30PM. First time waited for a table of 8 and second for a table of 6. The crowd is crazy and can be overwhelming. There's no really structure to the yelp waitlist. If your big party is willing to split tables and you are the first person to say yes to two separate tables next to each other, the tables are yours. The soup base and dishes are pretty good. We usually get the spicy and non spicy base. The bone broth is very flavorful as well as the spicy base. We get the beef combo, beef intestine combo, and the fish ball combo each time we've been, since we think it's a good starting base for the table. Know that if you want the sauce bar it's an extra charge, but I think it's worth it. The coconut jelly and the red bean sesame balls alone are worth it. You do have to fight for it though, since it's usually gone after one minute of them replenishing it. Three stars because it's nothing special and it's quite pricey, the wait is horrendous and overwhelming that honestly i would just choose another place. If you know Mandarin, it's definitely an advantage here.

Recommend: yes yes!Food: delicious Service: GoodAmbience: clean inside and smells amazing in here haha. Note: this place is not an all you can eatThis place has amazing hot pot broth and it's one of my favorite place. I love their herbal/plain broth. Their spicy broth is also good. They have great selections and when u arrive, you could smell the broth from outside. Definitely recommend here if you haven't been. Also a great place to bring someone who never had hot pot before.

I think this place is popular for its authentic menu variety and ambiance rather than overall quality.Food was average to decent, not that impressive for me personally, and the price was pretty high (we paid around $100 total for 2 ppl). You order everything a la carte which adds up fast. The lamb was chewy no matter how quickly you cooked it, shrimp paste cooked mushier than I preferred. Fish fillet was tender though. We considered ordering more meat but the additional cost didn't feel worth it. The sauce bar ($3pp) was nice though, lots of ingredients as well as crackers and a dessert station. Some reviews complained about the service, but I thought it was fine. One odd thing was they don't have hot tea, only hot water to drink. Overall I didn't feel I got a $50 per person experience, and would probably go elsewhere for my hot pot fix (there's so many spots in this area to choose from). At a similar price, I prefer Haidilao.
