We've been coming here for more than 20 years. They upgraded the inside look and it's a little less crowded. There is always a wait on the weekends so be prepared that you may wait 20 minutes. It goes by fast though. Parking may be difficult so find street parking instead of inside the plaza. Plus it's easier to just get out. It's a major busy street so be careful. The food is all fresh. Dim sum is good, the only thing I didn't like too much was their porridge. Other places the egg is put on top, but here they cut the eggs and it's mixed into it. I guess it's good because you get more egg, but I prefer to have more of the porridge taste. Their usual dim sum orders are all good, but their snow pea are the big leaf kind, or the tiny sprout kind. So that's another different thing. The BBQ Bao, Shrimp Rice Noodle (always a favorite), Shomai, Pork Ribs, Shrimp Egg Roll, Sticky Rice, Futbol (sticky dough with meat inside), Honey Walnut Shrimp, and Puto are always good. Plus you can order from their menu if you like. You can't go wrong here. But your eyes are gonna wanna order everything for the carts.

I have reviewed this restaurant before so this is an update. This used to be the oldest Chinese restaurant in Little Saigon. I used to come here w my 2 little daughters. It used to be packed as there was only 1 competition that I remember that was right across the street, Capital seafood but Capital was run by a Chinese from Cambodia I was told, I supposed not as authentic as a real Chinese chef, they are very good these days as it had changed ownership. Seafood paradise had also changed ownership, I 1st came back maybe a year ago and was shocked it turned into a night club but the food was good. So I was here Thursday 1/2/2025. We were seated immediately, I was asked what I wanted to drink, I said water, the server said bottle or glass? I asked him what kind of question was that? He said whether it was glass or bottle, it was $3?? I was hot under the collar, I told him I had never heard of any restaurant charging $3 for a glass of plain water, sometimes right from the tap then I stood up and said "just fuhgeddaboudit, I'm OUTTA HERE!" he was so shocked and called the manager, the lady sitting at the next table gave me a thumb up and sort of chuckled. The manager apologized and said she would not charge me, she then explained the live music now was on Thursday too, I was not aware of that as it was only on weekends before, people danced and had a good time like in a night club, I told her we both had LEFT FEET, that's a total of 4 left feet!, we can't even dance the KABUKI LOL!, we just wanted to have dinner, we were exhausted from shopping and didn't want commotion, in fact we volunteered to sit in the back where there was free water and tea! To their credit, the lobster was $30 a lb (I must add right after Trump won, the lobster went from $32 to $28!) Newport, a real rip off joint charged $34! SeafoodCove $32 so this place is the most honest in fact they showed me the lobster, I believed Newport charged me for 4 lbs when it sure looked like 3 lbs, really ripping me off. The lobster was succulent but it had no eggs, it must have been a male. The hot and sour soup was really really good 5 stars, the chow mein was not as good as the last time but the egg noodle was fried here unlike most restaurant it came from the factory. The music was pretty good, every VN loved French music even though nobody spoke French but they felt nostalgic from the French colonial days, the singer sang some bad French but nobody knew, I used to sing all these songs by Dalida and I have all her records so it was enjoyable. It was good customer service for the manager to come to calm me down, had she not done so, I really would walk out and never come back, $3 was not a big deal but it was the principle of things. The service was excellent, the manager came and 2 servers came to ask if I needed anything, I did, they gave me the delicious red Chinese vinegar that very few Chinese restaurants gave you, it's the best kept secret, I have bought so many vinegar brands and none ever tasted as good as in the restaurants. One thing that really annoyed us was WAZZUP W THE MASKS? COVID is GOOONE, get rid of the mask, I'm not the only guest annoyed by the masks for practical reasons, I couldn't understand what the heck they said, in general I avoided restaurants w unisex dirty bathrooms and servers w masks so it's food for thought. Our server pictured w mask was a really nice gentleman, we tipped him well so with that I would recommend this restaurant for honest pricing, every dish is $1 or $2 less than other Chinese restos and they do not charge for using credit card, 4 solid stars for the food, the dim sum I had once was 3 stars, I'm not sure they can improve it to 4 stars

My favorite dim sum spot, I love that every time I come there's no wait and I'm immediately seated. The dim sum has always been so consistent and the service here is surprisingly really good for a Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant. My favorites are Shiu Mai, Salt and Pepper Squid, & Honey Walnut Shrimp. It is a little more expensive compared to other dim sum spots, but I do think it's worth it. The restaurant is very clean and has spacious seating/parking lot. ig: @cravingswithcat

Sea Food Paradise is a great local spot for dim sum. The aunties are nice and remember you and what you like. I always appreciate the service. I like the bot chien with egg because they make it to order so it's always hot and fresh when it comes out. The rest of the dim sum is ok and does the job, although sometimes it's not the freshest tasting. They recently decorated for Lunar New Year so it's cute inside.

It's been ages since I've been here, came for dim sum. I arrived shortly after 11 on a Sunday. The dim sum was good. The service was good and I thought the prices were reasonable. The place was clean for Chinese restaurant standards. The dim sum carts were plentiful and the waitresses were attentive.I recommend to come here for dim sum

Love this place. Food is always so delicious. Fun place to hangout with friends and family and enjoy a diverse spread of foods. If you see something (dim sum) that you like, get it cause they might run out if you wait.

My review is based upon dining for a wedding ceremony for my family. They turned the restaurant into a banquet style venue, and it was nicely decorated where they made use of the stage for the ceremony. There were waiters everywhere and they served us ice in metal bowls which I thought was quite strange, but they did refill it often when we ran out. Our dinner was served course by course and was meant to be shared family style. I wasn't too thrilled with some of the choices as I didn't enjoy the first appetizer of seaweed salad and assorted squid and clams. Next, we got their crab egg drop soup which was admittedly bland. For fried dishes we received fried shrimp balls, deep fried taro, fried salt and pepper fish, quail, and fried rice. A lot of the food was quite heavy, but the fried items were tasty. For seafood items, the salt and pepper lobster were delicious, and my family devoured this! We also ate abalone and stir-fried vegetables, however, some of the mushrooms in the dish didn't taste quite fresh. Overall, the establishment was clean, and service is a bit spotty given it is a traditional Chinese restaurant. You won't get the best service, and you will find them cleaning at random times, but you will get very authentic Chinese food!

This place is my all time favorite dim sum spot in the OC. Their portion food sizes are pretty decent compared to places in the SGV. The top things to get: Yang Chow fried rice, kung pao chicken, honey walnut shrimp, crispy fried seafood noodles, siu mai, lotus chicken wrap, and sushi (fried shrimp rolls). The service is what it is. Not good and not bad. Remember the sweet spot for an Asian place to eat is 3 1/2 stars which means the food is good but the service sucks. Overall, this place used to be really super affordable for two people we could get full for $40. Now, with a party of 4 it cost about $120. Damn inflation.

Dear seafood paradise,It was a traumatizing dining experience. The host was angry and upset. He had his back towards customers the whole time while he was looking at the dining room. We had to wave down four people before we can put in our drink order . If you have questions about the menu, don't bother because they will not give you a clear answer when you need to order something they will point you to five other people before someone will come 45 minutes later to take your order. The food is barely OK but the service was so horrible that we will never be coming back. Our bill was $110 and they did not give us an itemized receipt. We sat for two hours and got so tired. We just wanted to pay and leave. Please respect your customers and offer the itemized receipt without us having to try to chase you down.Navigating the parking lot is already an issue so with the horrible service, it makes it terrible All the workers look really stressed out because management is problematic
