What a cute gem!Located in a large shopping center off of PCH. Plenty of parking, and tons of other restaurant.Ordered a roll $17Bento is a steal! 3 item combo $20 and $4 for sashi upgrade. Totally worth it!Service was good. Got us in and out quick. I'd come back here M-Thurs for their BOGO 50%

SOOOO. good. They have "All day Happy Hour" Mon-Thurs which includes BOGO chef rolls & beers/sake! Went on a rainy day for a good happy hour/good vibes, and we were beyond impressed! The service was kind + attentive. All of the chef rolls looked incredible..we had the hardest time deciding. We went with the "Cherry Blossom" roll, the "Benjie" roll, the "Lady in Red" roll, & "Black Pink" non rice roll. We started the meal with spicy edamame & Salmon Carpaccio which was zesty, fresh, and delicious.This is my new favorite Sushi spot!! Truly can't recommend enough:)Incredible food, incredible ambiance, incredible service!

Called to place an order of (1) Dragon roll. She stated it will be ready in about 20 minutes. I said "oh you guys are busy, we are right outside" she said "oh .. yes, I'm sorry"- I said "I t's ok will be outside, thanks" and as 24 minutes went by I sent my husband to go pick it up and pay . He comes back to tell me she said "oh sorry I thought she didn't want to place the order?"... like what???? When did I say to cancel or not put my order in. She still charged him full price and said she was going to rush our order. No discount for the inconvenience of still having to wait for my food. Bad customer service from ( YISOLE) She needs better communication/ listening skills. 36 minutes later we get the sushi. Mediocre

I decided to try this place at the recommendation of a friend who lives really close by. I went with three friends and we had no trouble getting a table right away at about 6:25pm on a Sunday evening. I think our server's name was Saki, and she was very attentive. Two friends got udon and ramen (sorry, don't remember the exact items), and one friend and I shared three no-rice rolls - Truffle Tuna, Malibu, and Honeymoon. They were all very tasty, and I was so glad they had so many rice-less options! Not sure I'd get the truffle again as it was quite truffle-y, but glad I tried it. I did like the one with peppered salmon quite a lot. And I guess it's a good sign that we ate it all up before remembering to take photos!

I love this place! The rolls are delicious and fresh, the quality is great! We come every weekend to enjoy this items! The service is excellent and they go above and beyond for you! The ambiance is very peaceful and cozy!

I've been coming here since I moved to Long Beach in 2016 and it's my top spot for hidden sushi gems. Nestled in a corner of the Target parking lot, don't be fooled by outside appearances.They have an abundance of well crafted menu items to choose from and Sapporo on draft. I personally like their Nigori sake options and appreciate that they provide you with slightly larger size glasses than typical sushi restaurants so you're not constantly repouring. My favorite roll is the ex-girlfriend (a non-rice roll). Everyone who's had it will agree it's a must try. Other Notable choices: crispy rice with spicy tuna, garlic edamame, sushi blossom (no rice), the Otsukuri sashimi dish (easily split with 2 people), the eel with truffle (as pictured), cherry blossom roll, & truffle tuna (no rice). If you sit at the bar ask for Jason. He's an amazing talent who's been working for the company several years. His attention to detail perfecting all the dishes is something I find really entertaining to watch. I now live in Laguna and I make the drive to come here once in a while because the food and service is THAT good.

Came here on Monday around 4pm not wait to be seated. Parking in lot. Ambiance was nice and calm cool decorations. Big size place. One bathroom.Ordered the Dragon Roll & Volcano Roll both were really good. A nice bite size and everything tasted fresh. Overall, good time and good taste would come again.

I stopped by Sapporo Sushi for the first time this past Friday, 6/14/2024 for lunch with my old friend.I ordered the following (price as of June 2024): - 2 Item Bento Combo (Lunch) - Chicken Katsu, + Salmon Avocado Roll (+$1) = $18.95- Comes with rice, salad, miso soup - Overall pretty good meal. The chicken katsu portion wasn't too big and the chicken was a bit dry, but it definitely had a nice crisp. The salmon avocado roll was delicious, refreshing, and hit the spot. The miso soup was tasty and the salad was a nice small portion. The dressing was more of an asian, slightly ginger-y sauce, I appreciated some extra greens in my meal haha. - Coke - $3 Classic, can't really go wrong. However, the soda did taste a little tap water-yCustomer Service:Great, the server was attentive. We were seated, and the server gave us the rundown of the menu. He took our order and the food all came at a good time. The server had a bright, positive attitude, which is so rare to see nowadays. Sapporo Sushi is located in the Bixby Village Plaza, near Cal State Long Beach. You often see college kids at Target or Cha for Tea. We wandered into Sapporo Sushi because the pho shop next door was closed due to violation. It feels like everyone in the area was hit with health code violations and need to get to code (even Sapporo Sushi).The restaurant is well decorated. It has nice cozy lights with "cherry blossom" twinkle lights throughout the establishment. Kevin, our server told us the menu has changed recently, and they are still experimenting - so if there's something you want them to make, they can accommodate.I was still craving something "soupy" so I ordered a ramen. Even thought it advertised that the broth was boiled for 16 hours, I thought it was ok. The toppings were nice, but the broth and noodles were a little lackluster. My friend got the beef teriyaki stone bowl (I forgot to take a picture of). He was not impressed. He mumbled that the beef was too tough. I can't rave about the sushi (it's selling point).Overall, I think Sapporo sushi is another generic sushi restaurant in Los Angeles area. Not impressive, but not terrible. It has some charm and is great for large parties.

Came by last night with fam... We ordered the Spicy Garlic Edamame, Spicy Tuna Tempura, Golder Tiger, Dragon Roll, Pick Me and the BBQ Short Ribs. All i can say is that the food here is legit! All rolls were packed with flavor! The short ribs were cooked perfectly. Come by and check them out.
