Sal's Pizzeria

Pizzeria located inside The District plaza in Tustin next to the AMC theaters. The shop is clean with minimal indoor seating. The Grandma Cheese had a beautifully crispy bottom and fluffy thicker bread. The Works was NY style and so incredibly thin with quality fresh toppings. I preferred the grandma style slice but would be happy with either! Do note that if you're ordering slices, you will only be able to choose the flavors in the display case and they don't label them.

solid place that does slices and pies. got three slices...a hawaiian, a veggie and a cheese. all were solid and reminded me of your typical NY slice. fold it up and eat it. one of the cool things about their location is that you can grab a slice and then walk around the district. there is another pizza/italian place across the plaza in the district but it's more of a sit down place and no slices. will be back to try their grandma slice.

I have been a long time customer of Sals. I started when they opened in Foothill Ranch then at the District in Tustin. So, I decided to have an order delivered. I placed the order through their website. It collected my payment but did not place the order. No problem, I just call and have them fix the problem. Not really. I called and the gentleman I spoke with did not have a clue about what I was talking about nor how to help. He said he would call back but instead the Foothill Ranch called to tell me that I would need to spoke with a specific person to get a refund. In the meantime, I would have to place another order and pay again. WTF!I placed an other for Brooklyn style Grandma's pizza. I elected to pick it up. When I did, it was not what I ordered. Look like big saucy cheese soup. Not what it's supposed to look like. The guy started telling me why it doesn't look right is because I asked not to cut the pizza. ???? So not cutting the pizza makes it look messed up? Don't think so. Anyway, I now need to take time out of my day to deal with this. More to come.UPDATE: regrettably, I never had anyone from Sal's reach out to me about this problem. I was informed from the foothill location that someone will definitely call me. I had to reach out to my bank to resolve. Well Sal's I guess this is how you treat long time customer. Too bad.

Service was only ok. Garlic knots had no garlic taste and have definitely been sitting for a while there was no stretch of fluff in the bread it tasted stale. Pretty expensive for what is it. Way too much char on the bottom kind - 25% of it was pretty burnt for a $5 slice I'd need a dollar back.

I ordered a large cheese pie and found it to be really good. Some N.Y. style pizza joints the crust is way to thick, but not here. Service is good too.

It's my first time going to this location, I usually go to their Foothill Ranch location. As you can expect, parking can be challenging if you don't want to walk a bit, but luckily I was in the mood to park further away.Since I signed up to get texts from them about their amazing deals, I was able to get the chicken BBQ and white pizza (BOGO). One for me and one for my friend. And we also got the garlic knots for free with a separate order (saw their ad on either Instagram or TikTok). I can never pass up their deals because the quality of their pizzas are SOOO good. I ordered the food online and it was super easy. When we got there, it was ready for pickup and they were pretty quick about it. The staff was on it!I noticed that there was outdoor dining since it's also by the AMC theater and limited indoor seating too. The place was clean, the ambiance was that of a typical pizza joint.

I stopped by for the first time since I heard good things. This spot is located next to the AMC theaters in The District, can't miss it. Parking can definitely be tough when it is busy but that's understandable. I've only gotten individual slices here allowing me to try many different flavors. I have yet to come across a slice that isn't nice. The slices aren't flimsy and generous with toppings to make sure every bite is delicious. The Grandma's slices in particular are excellent, I really enjoy the square shape and how dense it is. The bbq chicken is also among the best I've ever had. Staff is always on point and efficient. The inside only has a couple places to sit but there's plenty of nice seating outside. Overall one of my favorite pizza places around. I will definitely be stopping by for the foreseeable future.

Sals is our family's favorite pizza spot! My hubby's originally from NY (Queens baby!!) and this pizza brings back a true NY pizza taste from home. We love their peperoni and white pizza. Very friendly staff. Come support a local family owned pizza spot and enjoy some delicious true NY pizza.

I was craving a chicken parm sandwich and my sister recommended this place. She said it's the most like my Dad's pizzeria in NJ. She was right! Their chicken parm was delicious! It was filled with mozzarella cheese, and chicken cutlets, and a good amount of sauce. The bread was good too. For a California pizza spot this place is delicious! I also tried one of their plain cheese slices. The dough was good, the sauce was tasty. If you are looking for a good pizzeria this place is it! We called ahead to order and it was perfect. The girl who served us was nice. Inside is a classic pizzeria with the history of how Sal's originated, that was a nice touch.
