Sabor Peruvian Rotisserie Chicken

So glad to have found this restaurant for authentic Peruvian food. Their Lomo Saltado tasted delicious! It satisfied my craving for Peruvian food. It costed $21.99 which I think was more than worth it. Their green sauce is AMAZING. I poured every ounce of it on my plate. I would 11/10 come back again!

Horrible experience!!!We spent 80 dollars on reheated chicken, not even the right pieces because "they realized they were out of chicken"The seasoning cannot even match the worst Pollo Loco! The aguadito is a joke, more like the flavourless soup.I real dissapointment.Never again!

Cute little restaurant in downtown Fullerton area. We were hungry for Peruvian food so I found this place on Yelp w good reviews. The service was good and friendly. You order your food at the counter and they bring you your order of dining in. Not too many seats inside but they do have a few more tables outside in the front patio. The food was amazingly good, I wasn't expecting much but everything was delicious very home cooked feel. I would recommend coming here if you want authentic Peruvian food. They have a huge selection and priced fairly. Large parking lot as well.

We came here randomly because we were around the area. We ordered the anticuchos de carne, tallarin saltado de carne, and saltado de pollo. I thought the food was mediocre. It wasn't bad nor good. It's a decent peruvian restaurant but I feel like there's better ones around the area.

Great food, good-sized portions.The restaurant itself is small and tastefully decorated. The only drawback is the amount of seating they have approximately 10-12 2-person tables. This is not good for large groups, but great for 2-4 people.We ordered the chicken and steak saltado plates and the flavor was spot on! The green salsa was soooo good. We enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back!

Came here on a Saturday at 5:30pm a little early but I think it's still dinner time so you think they would have lots of pollo ready but not the case. Ordered two 1/4 chickens breast but was served one plate with the breast and the other with dark meat. The server said they ran out of breast and it's 20 minute wait for it. So I kept the dark meat but it was very dry, it definitely had been sitting out. Portions are small! Also ordered the aguadito soup which was very watered down and bland. I go to peru twice a year and I can tell you this place is insulting. Watched people come in and leave after being told that it's 1 hour wait for chicken. And not because it was busy!! I wish that happened to me instead so I wouldn't have wasted $70 dollars on this terrible meal.

It's nice to have a Peruvian place close by with a pretty authentic menu. Menu has all the staples (rotisserie chicken, saltado, tallarind, etc.). Ordered the 1/4 rotisserie chicken with sweet potato fries and fried plantains side as well as lomo saltado. Great to get two sides with the chicken orders! Food taste pros:-Chicken was cooked well and great seasoning (can choose either breast and wing or leg and thigh with the 1/4 chicken)-Lomo Saltado meat was tender and delicious with super good sauce-Fried plantains excellentFood taste cons:-Both fries (regular and sweet potato) were super flavorless and lukewarm when they came out; it was honestly a bummer. Would have seasoned with salt and pepper, but there wasn't any around. Good dipped in the green cilantro sauce that came with the meal and the lomo Saltado sauce (because they absolutely needed more flavor)-Needed more of the veggies with the Lomo Saltado (ratio between meat/veggies/fries/rice not great)Other notes:-Price point was really high overall. Feel like the chicken was more reasonably priced ($12.99 for the 1/4), especially with two sides, but $19.99 for the Lomo Saltado did not accurately represent the portion size-Small interior and pretty empty on an early weekday evening-Staff was not overly friendly, but not rude either. No one came to check on us while we were eating.Would give it a solid "fine," and 3.5 stars if I could give halves. Good to try, but not hurrying to go back!

Food: My partner and I ordered the 1/4 Pollo ($12) and the Lomo Saltado ($17). The 1/4 Pollo was flavorful. The plantains were cooked perfectly. The rice had some oil and garlic flavor to it too! The Lomo Saltado was packed with flavor. The gravy already has a lot of flavor in it. I did notice that it tasted extra salty in some parts, but I think it's because the fries had salt on them too. The green sauce was refreshing with some spice in it. Service: After we ordered, the food came out within minutes. There are no self service drink stations and no restrooms. They have ice cream available!Ambiance: There's a good amount of parking during the day for lunch. I can see how it will be busy at night. It's located behind Clyde's Hot Chicken.

**3 STARS** A small shop serving a variety of Peruvian dishes with seafood, vegetarian and red meat/chicken options. Parking: The restaurant shares a parking lot with 3-4 other establishments. I had no trouble on a weekday lunch finding parking but could definitely see the difficulty on a Friday dinner or weekend, especially due to the proximity to Downtown Fullerton. Interior: Smaller interior with approximately 3-4 tables but they do have a larger outdoor patio. They also have a small section serving ice cream. Would recommend takeout for greater ease!Chaufa de Carne (3/5): Essentially a fried rice with pieces of filet mignon. The dish came topped with crispy wontons (which unfortunately get soggy quickly) and green onions. Loved the addition of the snap peas for an added crunch! My two gripes about the dish were that I wish there was a stronger soy/savory flavor and that especially when hot, the rice felt overly greasy. I found myself needing to balance out the grease with the aji verde (green sauce) for some acidity. The aji verde wasn't spicy and had a nice citrus taste. The portion of the dish was fair and could feed 2 people if they weren't overly hungry.**Note**: I ordered through their direct website as the restaurant stated ordering directly would save customers fees third party options like Doordash, UberEats, Grubhub). However, their online website has a price discrepancy of about $3-7 more compared to the prices I saw in the restaurant and on their paper menu. They do have a sign posted on their door and near the register that they charge a service fee on all their transactions, although I'm not sure what the fee entails. That left my experience on an odd note because if I had known the difference in price, I would have either called in to order or placed the order in person. Price point in consideration, I'm not sure if I would reorder the Chaufa de Carne because at $20 for one plate, it was a bit lackluster.

It's our first time to try Peruvian food and this place exceeded our expectations. We ordered the half Pollo a la Brasa, Aguadito de Pollo, Lomo Saltado, Saltado de Pollo, and Chaufa de Pollo. The dishes were prepared fresh and tasted very delicious. The air is filled with subtle aroma of freshly prepared dishes. The quaint dining space feels like a hidden gem, offering a relaxed vibe. The owner's friendly demeanor and excitement to provide great experience make the entire visit personal and special.
