Royal Thai Orchid Restaurant

After boycotting this place for a few years. We decided to try it again after a friend we saw said it was sold again and it's better than it was. So we did, and I'm so glad we did. We have struggled to find a great Thai food place since Joe sold it. The owners now have made it great. The food was delicious and service was excellent. We ordered pad Thai with shrimp, pad see ew with chicken, homemade Thai egg rolls, and cucumber salad. All dishes were great. Loved the egg rolls so much. Missed having good egg rolls. The interior is small, and intimate. Great place to take a date. I'm glad we found a good Thai restaurant to go to again. We will be coming back very soon.

UPDATE: They claim they verified that I ordered off the dinner menu. There was none. In fact, I had to ask for the lunch special menu because it was not initially offered to me. I ordered the ka prow with lunch menu in hand before switching to the dinner menu to order the dinner menu only appetizers. There was no varification of any sort regarding the kaprow dish. No "Sir, just to be clear, did you want the lunch special ka prow or the dinner? The difference between the two are...". Misunderstanding? Fine, but if you have duplicate dishes on two different menus during a time where both menus are valid, you should be the one to make sure to avoid "misunderstandings". Hope this advise sticks for when you are faced with similar situations in the future, but again. This was the first and last time for me. Went in for takeout. Asked for lunch menu. Ordered a couple appetizersfrom regular menu, but also a lunch special crispy pork kaprow. Which should have been like 13 bucks. They charged me for a dinner kaprow (16) plus a special meat charge (4). When I got back to work I was wondering why the bill seemed a little high. Sneaky. I should have been more diligent in reviewing my receipt, but the principle. Well, fool me once, right?. Never again.

Restaurant was so peaceful and the staff was so friendly. Our food came out at a reasonable time and was delicious. Everything was a perfect temperature and texture. Portions were smaller compared to other nearby Thai restaurants. Everything was very clean and tidy.

Not bad!There's good and mediocre here.I'll start with the good! The orange chicken was great and the curry was decent. I enjoyed the sweet & sour tofu! It was flavorful and there was a good amount of tofu bites. Some mediocre notes. The Thai tea wasn't sweet enough. It looked like it would be creamy and sweet. But it wasn't. The sticky rice was alright. It needed more coconut cream though. It wasn't sweet enough and wet enough. That sounds weird to say lol But it needs to be more wet and juicy. It was more sticky and not sweet. I love mango sticky rice so much. And normally I enjoy sticky rice. But it was a miss here. Overall, not bad! Definitely hit the spot for Thai food. Service was good. Everything was packaged nicely. There weren't any napkins or utensils though.

Food here is AMAZING! Very nice and sweet customer service ! Absolutely delicious food! This place should have so much more customers because everything was exceptional. We ordered the Tom Kha , Beef pad see ew, combination fried rice and Mango sticky rice! Loved EVERYTHING ! The decor and ambiance is excellent. Very welcoming and I just can emphasize how amazing it is !

Kindly attended at door, nice ambient.We went during lunch time so they served soup with our order and a free egg roll. The food was freshly made and delicious. We ordered Pad See Yew and Chow Mein. I also had cucumber salad which tasted freshly prepared, very good. My husband ordered egg rolls, happy with those too. My child had coconut ice cream, which I tried, had coconut pieces in it, was refreshing. Prior, the gentleman made it possible for my son to enjoy his ice cream from a cone. Thank you. This is a cozy hidden gem in Orange! The staff is friendly and very efficient in making sure our waters were refilled in a timely manner. We ordered thai teas, pad thai with crispy pork, and pineapple curry with chicken.Thai Tea- Sweet and creamy. You can really taste the tea and it was quite refreshing.Pad Thai with Crispy Pork- We were served a generous portion. The noodles were soft and chewy and the sauce was a perfect blend of sweet and tangy. The pork had a nice crunch and added a depth of texture to the dish.Pineapple Curry with Chicken- The sauce was so good! It has a strong sweet pineapple flavor with a hint of a kick. The chicken pairs well with it and there were plenty of pineapple chunks.Thank you for a great meal!

Always great Thai and good portions. Been going there for more than 20 years and they're still making delicious food.
