Came here with my boyfriend last Saturday and was seated right away with our reservation. It was a chilly afternoon and we decided to sit in the patio and we had requested for a heater, which they gladly moved for our comfort. The service of this place was very good. She checked on us quite often and we got our food pretty quickly! I had ordered the miso cod, which tasted amazing btw! The miso sauce was to die for, while my boyfriend got the chicken karage. We had also ordered the papaya salad & the furikake fries (OMG, I 100% recommend!) Everything about this place was amazing except for the bar right across the street. It was pretty loud, but I don't think you'd hear it if you were to sit inside. I'd definitely come back here again.

We wanted to stay relatively "close to home" especially on a Saturday night, so we headed to SJC. This was our first visit to Rosewood Social, and we had a blessed dining experience! I had made a reservation for our small party of three via Open Table and recommend you do because this place was hopping!!!We were greeted and seated right away upon arrival. Our table was outside on their open and airy patio, which we were hoping for (yay!). Jake was our awesome server who took great care of us from beginning to the end (thank you, Jake!). Everything on the menu sounded amazing, so we decided to do "family style" and order many dishes to share. SMALL PLATES:Beet Salad - very refreshing especially with the burrata and yuzu vinaigrette dressing. Bang Bang Shrimp - season well and perfectly battered to my liking. Decent size too...U10s!! LOL. PROTEINS:Ranch Prime New York Strip - 12 oz of pure happiness, prepared perfectly to our liking (medium rare, thank you chef!). Next level umami with the side of wasabi relish, yum!SIDES:Gailan - great flavor and crunch, not overly cooked. Mushrooms - if you're a fan of shiitake 'shrooms, give theirs a try! It will not disappoint. All in all, we enjoyed our dinner here wholeheartedly. The food, service, and ambiance were spot on!!! Cheers and happy eating till next time!

This place was soooooo good!! My husband and I came on a Thursday night so it wasn't too busy. We still made a reservation on open table just to make sure. We got almost everyone on the menu, their happy hour has so many options and GOOD options! The ambiance was contemporary modern, loved the vibe and the service was amazing! Can't wait to bring my family/friends here!

Rosewood Social is located in downtown San Juan Capistrano and offers indoor seating as well as patio seating over looking the busy streets below. My group stopped by for a celebratory event and noted it on our reservation, however the restaurant failed to acknowledge this. We ordered several items to share. Wagyu dumpling ($21) - This came with 4 ground beef dumplings with chili sauce. While I did enjoy this dish, I found it to be extremely over priced, given the quantity.Bang bang shrimp ($21) - This small appetizer consisted of 4 shrimp in a chili mayo batter, served with a teaspoon of noodles. This was my favorite appetizer.Tenderloin tips ($22) - A small portion of beef tips was stir fried with some bell peppers in a black pepper sauce. Jumbo prawn tandoori ($29) - This consisted of 4 large pieces of shrimp (definitely not jumbo prawns) prepared in a tandoori marinade and served with a roasted red pepper and coconut cream sauce and a few bites of rice.Miso cod ($32) - Cod prepared with a miso glaze served over a bed of wild rice was cooked perfectly and a good main to get here.Chilean sea bass ($46) - Served with bok choy and a few additional vegetables, this Chilean sea bass was poorly cooked and extremely bland. I would definitely pass on this dish.Banana fritters ($8) - This consisted of some banana pieces fried in a batter and served with ube ice cream. The ube flavors went so well with the fritters and I would get this again!Croissant dessert ($13) - This was a croissant waffle dessert with ice cream, whip cream and some chocolate syrup. Nothing out of the ordinary here in terms of taste, and over priced.Overall I found the taste of the dishes to be good, however given the miniscule portions of most of the dishes and the exorbitant price point, I would pass on this place.

I really liked the unique location with the view of SJC, that made this establishment stand out for me. We had a great table and the weather was so nice so we enjoyed being outside. The staff were friendly, prompt and accommodating. And to all that, the food was fantastic. Everything was flavorful and left us wanting more. That said, the portions are rather small for the price. Each of the shareable plates (papaya salad- $9, wagyu dumplings $21, bang bang shrimp $21) were priced like entree and came with 4-5 pieces. If I had gone with more than one person we would have needed more starter plates. We had the banana fritters with ube ice cream for dessert and it was worth getting. Overall great experience and delicious food. I'm looking forward to bringing others.

Lovely spot, friendly service, cozy atmosphere on the rooftop patio by the fire overlooking downtown Capistrano. Tom Yum especially was spectacular, and let's just say I'm a bit experienced when it comes to this particular dish.Definitely worth a visit if you're into Asian food, it's fusion, not just Thai and it's clearly made and served with care.

Really cute restaurant in San Juan Cap. I found it on yelp and my husband and I came here for a date night. We sat outside, the weather and view were nice. The service was really friendly and attentive. We ordered the wagyu and shrimp dumplings. The sauce was good, but the filling was more of a meatball consistency. The papaya salad was really tasty. We got the fried chicken and the braised short rib. Both dishes were really delicious. We also ordered the side of the Chinese broccoli which wasn't very impressive. Overall a really great dinner, and will definitely be back.

I am not one to gush but this was some of the best food I've had. Every dish is packed with flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. The service was great too--friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. Whether you're a foodie or just love good food you're going to want to try this place.
