The food (went for Tomohawk Tuesday), the atmosphere, the drinks (recommend the boysenberry smash).... all were SO good!! Great new place to go now!Server Keyla was the BEST!

Instant greetings and quickly seated at our reserved table. We're very pleased with how friendly and helpful everyone here was. Our Friday night out with friends and family was perfect. There was not one thing to complain about at all. Stop in and try the bread and butter basket. The filet mignon was sandwich was on point and the coconut shrimp was a table fav!

I had probably one of the worst dining experiences here last night. My fiancé and I arrived 10 minutes before our 7:45pm reservation time to a chaotic scene in front of/inside the restaurant, a very large crowd of clearly not very happy people. We ended up waiting an hour and 15 minutes before finally being seated, reservations had clearly been overbooked.After being seated we put in our order for everything at once (drinks, appetizers and entrees) as we noticed many tables had been sat with nothing but water for quite some time. Another entire hour went by and had we received nothing but our drinks. I noticed a couple that had been sat in front of us only about 15 minutes prior receive their food already and at this point was pretty upset. We became even more upset after they picked at the food and realized it wasn't theirs but rather OUR entrees. Our waitress then attempted to take the food from them and put it in front of us. Naturally we refused the food. Then about 10 minutes later watched it happen AGAIN. For a second time our entrees were given to the wrong couple. After that we did speak with a staff member about the situation who was apologetic and offered to comp a portion of our dinner for the evening, honestly the only reason we agreed to stay and wait further for the food was because at this point it was 10pm and other dinner options would have been limited to fast food. The only saving grace and the reason I'm giving two stars instead of one was that when our food finally arrived, it was delicious. I also felt for the staff, who were clearly overwhelmed and likely doing their best. However, the disorganization, lack of leadership, and excessive wait times made for an incredibly frustrating experience.Would I come back? Maybe on a random weekday evening, absolutely not on a special occasion.

Love this place but tried some new things so had to share my love. We destroyed happy hour tonight! We got the cauliflower, coconut shrimp, calamari steak and lava burger all from happy hour so great deal. Added a side of yucca fries off regular menu because I love them. We got the Citrus Glazed Cauliflower with a citrus sriracha sauce and walnuts. It was only $8 on happy hour! Great for the price, I do wish they were a bit more pan seared and browned. The flavor was great but some texture and searing would it over the top.Coconut shrimp were great! Whatever was their house glaze dipping sauce was sweet and a nice compliment but actually liked them with the house aioli served with the calamari event better. Lava burger comes with grilled onions, cheese, bacon and an egg. My husband ordered this and doesn't a loose egg so ordered it over hard and it was still pretty amazing. Huge this patty with a great flavor, almost felt house round considering their steak cuts because it was richer than a standard ground chuck. Bun had a great rich buttery flavor, would like it toasted a bit more if it had been served with an over easy egg as intended, just so it would hold up but it was perfect for his version. I can't recall the dessert name, it was like a mudslide ice cream cake. Oreo cookie crust, coffee and chocolate ice cream layers. It was exactly as described and delicious.What always makes this place is the environment, from the manager, to the bartender, to our server (Madi tonight) the experience is unique and welcoming. They provide suggestions and even followed up before happy hour ended so we could peer another round. Can't recommend it enough and suggest the before 6 arrival to take advantage of their happy hour. We will be back for Tomahawk Tuesday for sure! Love the new addition of the adjustable table light. We sit at the bar so we can watch the TVs and I often struggle to see menus and love not having to use my phone light and can be discrete (insert old joke here).

Had the most terrible Valentine's Day experience! If you were there you KNOW what I'm taking about. They obviously overbooked and didn't prepare for large crowds. I booked for 7:15pm it's 9:20pm and we are walking out bc we still haven't been given a table. The host kept coming back to me saying "I have 3 ahead of you" every 10-15 mins! about 40mins ago he said "they're working on your table, you're next" One guy on the table next to me had a reservation for 6:30pm and they've only taken their drink order. He complained to his waiter "I've been here over two and a half hours" To which the waiter replied: "I know, me too" I wish I could give this place 0 stars.

I have a feeling this will be our favorite neighborhood bar/restaurant because my husband and I went twice in a week.We walked in and it was pretty empty (both times). Good for us because that means personal and attentive service. We sat at the bar both times and had amazing service, but I will say that service is slow because they appear to be understaffed. Albeit challenging to right size staffing considering inconsistent patronage. Let's talk about the food and drinks. 5 STARS!!!! Like seriously, 5 STARS!!! We tried a few of their crafted cocktails: Oaxacan Fashioned, Blood Orange Margarita, Whiskey Sour, and Penicillin. Our favorite were all except the Blood Orange Margarita. Too sweet and not enough of alcohol (didn't taste any alcohol really). The Oaxacan Fashioned will probably be what I order every time. I love me a good old Mezcal drank.As far as food, we went during happy hour and ordered just about everything on the menu (don't you be over there reading this judging us lol): Sweet & Spicy wings, coconut shrimp, short rib sliders, yucca fries, cauliflower, and a few others that I can't remember and forgot to take a pic of. Our next visit, I had the lava burger. Hands down the best burger I've had in a very long time- beef burger with fried egg, bacon, garlic aioli, and cheese. Oh and their signature sauce: some type of tamarind/sweet & sour sauce is fire!!!As for the ambiance, it gives whiskey bar/speakeasy/lounge vibes. The bartender said they have live music on some nights. To the owner and Yelp Community Managers, let's get a Yelp event planned in the near future so that we can help Rokka get more business/exposure.

We went for the 1st time to this place and had the Tomahawk- it was good but a bit too much fat! The atmosphere was great and the staff friendly and knowledgeable. Our server Mike was very welcoming and knowledgeable on the menu and beverages.I highly recommend you try this whiskey bar!

We went for an early new year eve dinner & it wasn't packed yet. The service was good but the food was spectacular! I had the surf and turf my son and husband had the tomahawk steak. What a treat that was from the presentation all the way down to the to go dog bone bag. We definitely are returning for whiskey and wings. The atmosphere is very chill and made us feel really welcome. It was so nice to have a fine dining experience close to home. Thanks for coming to Bellflower we needed you

Came here for a bday dinner for my husband. Service was subpar, lady took a bit long to take our orders. We asked for two bread baskets and they only gave us one, so we asked for one more but they charged us for 3 bread baskets. Luckily we checked the receipt...Our food took a little long which was expected but one of my friends order was wrong so we ended up having to wait even longer for it. Drinks were good but overall experience was not where we wanted it to be. We still had a great time catching up but service could've been better.

I've always driven by this spot but never been so decided to finally check it out. Drinks were good. Food hit the spot. Our server was attentive and gave us plenty of recommendations. i think his name was Mikey. Would definitely come back on a more regular basis.
