Rodrigo's Mexican Grill

I love this place, and I have come here for years with my grandma since middle school when it was still called Don Jose, and im a full grown adult now I always get the 3 Carne Asada street tacos with refried beans and rice, and my grandma always ends up getting a wide variety of stuff but mostly big platters to save for the next few days. She sometimes gets a mango margarita too, and the most recent time we went on Christmas was the most delicious one! Was sweet almost like a dessert. I also got the cucumber Agua Fresca for us to try, and we both found it delicious and super refreshing.we've been coming here so often, we usually get recognized by one of our main waiters, though surprisingly I don't remember his name as it's been a while since we've been waited by him. but all the other staff seems really friendly, even the ones that greet you at the door. there's always a fresh supply of chips and salsa, and my grandma and I always tear through it because we both LOVE the salsa and end up stuffing ourselves way before we actually get our food. I'm always down with the leftovers.I also saw that since Christmas, that they changed the menus to at least have more pictures! It is really nice for me because I am more of a visual person, especially when I want to try something new and I want to know what the food looks like so I can anticipate whether I want to order it or not. They need more authentic mexican restaurants in Anaheim/Yorba Linda!can't wait to come back again, from some of your regulars!

Every year we reserve the back room for our holiday lunch of 15-20 ppl. WeAlso come here often for team events in the room. For Xmas We always reserve the entire back room so we can do activities such as a raffle and white elephant which can get loud. We have been going here for our team Xmas lunch for 3 years now with no problems. This year I called 3 wks prior and reserved the back room and was told it was available. I showed up and checked in and the server took me to a table in the main floor. I told her no we had the private room and she said that two parties were already in there. I was upset and asked to speak to a manager who as not apologetic at all and asked who i spoke to. He also said that I couldn't reserve the room with just 15ppl bc it was a big room. I told him i didn't remember who I spoke to but said I made sure to let them know I wanted the entire room. I told him we reserved the entire room for our many events for the past 3 years with no issues. He then said well we can put u in there but there's just a small table for 6 left.We had 15 ppl with us so that did not fix the problem. He then proceeded to walk me to the room and show me the tiny table for 6 and I saw my team was seated in the room already so obviously there was a mixup somewhere. However we were seated next to a long table with another separate group of 20 men from another party in the room. The overall experience was Terrible. Our lunch is about 1.5hrs but it took them 30 mins to take our order. Then another 20 mins for the food to come. The waiter was doing his best assigned to two huge parties but the service was terrible. No drinks or refills unless we flagged them down multiple times. Also the group of 20 men were so loud in the next table bc it was their work party. After not getting served for 30mins we were all so frustrated and was going to just walk out and just not have lunch that day at all and find another location for another day. Because the food was late and the room was loud we didn't do any of our usual Xmas activities. The manager did not care at lol about our concerns. I have plenty of other options to take my team to lunch and we use the room throughout the year for other lunch events and always choose Rodrigo's for the private room. I will never be back here again and will take our business elsewhere. Your manager needs to do better and provide solutions when mistakes are made.

We went to Rodrigos, ordered Ultimate Fajitas it contained 4 strips of beef, 4 chunks of chicken and the shrimp were the size of a quarter!3 flour tortilla and my husband ordered Carnitas, when you see more plate than food, considering the 20+ prices honestly Rodrigos! The amount of food portion is problematic! For the 2 meals, and 1 iced tea, the total was $65.00!!!Goodbye, your price=food portion =0!

Wet chicken burrito - delicious, BUT, the burrito should be bigger for what it costs at $12, thus, 3/5 stars.

Atmosphere upon entering was fun and interesting - until we had to wait well over 5 minutes before someone came to seat us. When someone one finally came they were rude, to say the least. Then things went really down hill. The seating area (in the bar area) where we were placed in was like an old section that had seen one too many gatherings. It smelled pretty bad and the booths were very worn and the table was hardly standing on its own. Our server was spectacular but that just couldn't make up for the condition of the room and the rudeness of the hostess.The food wasn't great, and we really had high hopes. Sadly we likely wouldn't go back.

First time here and it was a good dining experience ! We were just looking for a quick bite to eat and found this when we exit Imperial Highway in Yorba Linda. Nicely decorated with lots of pictures on the wall. Service was fast and servers were very efficient. The fish tacos was delicious and the chips were warm and freshly cooked.

Great place right off the 91 at imperial hwy. Good drinks and food. We had Humberto and Johnny as servers and they were amazing. Good food and tequilla tasted wonderful. Party of 8 and the service was fantastic. First time here and very nice service, good food and overall ambiance. By the way I had a chance to speak with Lulu in the business office who took my reservation and what an amazing person! Thanks Lulu!Thank you and yes, recommended

Not yet I have a event planned there..Hope the food is good . The staff is trained and the people I'm with are well be haved.I will be there on Thursday.
