Our $8 dollar desert. I'm so upset. Yes fancy looking, tasted like it was in the fridge for days and not worth $8. So sad.

FOOD: We love Brazilian barbeque and are always on the lookout for a good churrascaria. We made an early dinner reservation at this restaurant, and we were seated right away. AYCE - The prices here are lower than those of other Brazilian steakhouses, so do not expect them to be on the same level. While the selection of meats at Rio Picanha is decent, I found the taste somewhat different from what I expected, and even my whole family did not enjoy the food as much as we hoped. Others might appreciate the flavor of the meat; it's just not to our liking. The variety of side dishes is somewhat limited, but the prices are reasonable. It's a fair choice if you're looking for an affordable Brazilian AYCE steakhouse.SERVICE: The pace of meat service is a bit slow, which can lead to some waiting time between servings. There were also one server attending to three tables of families.AMBIANCE: The ambiance was just okay. The decor was simple and functional but did not have the vibrant atmosphere often associated with Brazilian steakhouses.

Rio Picanha still fabulous as always. Weekdays lunch is now $35 but still the best deal in town. Try to make a reservation near holiday time. Greeted by a wonder friendly staff and so attentive the entire time with non stop 12 meat servings that just keep coming. Bread alls still one of my favs. I always have such a great time there. Thank you for a wonderful lunch. I'll see you next month.

I came here for lunch the other day with my coworker and it was a great dining experience. The place was surprisingly busy considering that it was a random weekday. There must have been at least seven other tables here dining. I have been into this building before when it was another churrasqueria, but it was my first time with this current ownership. They had the salad bar still intact. But I only got a couple of items and left a lot of plates space for all that items that they were bringing around table to table. I made sure to got a lot of chimichurri and some salad from salad bar. There obviously is in that much variety compared to dinner but there is a good amount of variety already. The spicy sausage was one that comes to mind that was a surprise. The bacon-wrapped turkey with another favorite. And the other meats were all really good. The cheese bread is always top notch here. So we got a couple of refills of that as well. There's plenty of parking here in this plaza so it shouldn't be an issue. There aren't too many ayce Brazilian bbq places in the area so this is a great place to go to if this is what you're searching for.

The food was great as always but it took 10-15 minutes just to get water after asking for it twice after being seated and 15 minutes to get our check after asking for that multiple times. Not that I didn't mind getting up to get it, but after seeing everyone around us was getting their checks when they asked for it I felt our service was subpar. Maybe it was because we were in the corner? Even so that shouldn't be an excuse. Overall it was good but if we weren't waiting around for so long I would've left a better tip.

3.5 stars. There are not a lot of churrascarias in the LA area. I think we have been to most of them - Fogo, MGrill, the new H&H. This is the location for the former Green Field (which I heard was so-so), so I was happy to see good reviews and wanted to give this place a try.Compared to the other churrascarias in the LA area, the prices here are VERY reasonable. I'll say that we would come back here based that price alone, and the salad bar. The salad part of the salad bar is fairly typical, nothing to write home about. What we loved was the stroganoff (beef and chicken), the feijoada, and the moqueca. There are not a lot of places around that does a good moqueca, and the moqueca at Rio Picanha was very solid and decent. And the chicken stroganoff is delicious. The feijoada is also solid, with pieces of meat on bone that falls right off and is super tender. The pao de queijo was also very good, very solid. The only thing that was a bit disappointing here was the polenta, which felt kind of hard, dry, and stale. Now for the meats. The meats were ok. The first slice of picanha we got was too rare, although the second round was better (we prefer medium rare). Some of the other meats were a bit too well done for our tastes. Also, the grilled pineapple needed a bit more cinnamon crust on it (it was a bit more watery than I like). Sausage was decent. The hot links, though, are really good.Drinks - we got the classic caipirinha, which was fantastic, and the pineapple one, which was not bad either.Service was ok. I feel like they were preparing for an event or something. We sat for about 5 minutes with no one coming to greet us or take our drink order, so we just got up and helped ourselves to the salad bar, and got drinks later. Also, some of the servers would put the sword tip when serving meats directly on customer plates. That's not sanitary! Best to keep it on its own plate while serving, please! Also, one of the servers did not know what "pao de queijo" was. C'mon! All in all, this is a solid place. And for the price, I think it is totally worth a drive to West Covina.(From April 23, 2019)

Don't go to this poor man's buffet! Literally the worst experience I've ever had at a buffet. Don't get me wrong not everything was terribly bad. Their main offerings at the buffet were good but they were completely meatless even the ones that said had no meat or very little meat inside them. The way that they get you here is they go around whenever they feel like it with certain Meats and they go to each and every table so you have to wait for your turn. But the problem is that they run around all the time with the cheaper Meats but the more expensive premium Meats they come around once an hour so if you miss it you've missed it and you still have to pay the premium price. So you don't get to eat the meat that you want to eat when you want to eat it. you eat whatever they present to you whenever they feel like presenting it to you.
