Ribs N Kabobs

11/4/24 Indian & Korean fusion, like home cooked meals by Abida (owner's mom), along with Ali. They don't skimp on the spices!My aunt wanted to take Hubby & I out for lunch, she wanted to try this place in Artesia. We were the first customers of the day. Abida warmly greeted us & we sat at a booth by the counter. It's a small family owned restaurant that could sit possibly 25-30 customers. Free parking available & it is shared on the same plaza as Aikan & Solid Coffee Roasters. We ordered: 4 Beef Tacos, Lamb loin chops, goat curry, paneer tikka (fish/swai) & for myself-/ kabob platter (chose tandoori boti/cubed chicken & Seekh kabobbeef. All served with basmati & naan except for Hubby's tacos. I felt it was going to take a bit of time so I went with an appetizer to hold us off: Kbbq chicken wings (12 pieces). As it turned out, Abida was the only person cooking at the back at 11 am & help will arrive around noon (Ali). It really does have that mom n pop deal, like you were invited to someone's home & they cook for you. Abida was reassuring & we felt we were being looked after by someone's mom. It did take a bit of time (no more than you would at any dine in restaurants) but factor in that it's only Abida cooking. The chicken wings arrived shortly & we enjoyed these while waiting for the rest of our meals. Very flavorful spiced appropriately. When our plates were presented, we dug right in. Although we mentioned low to medium spice level, our dishes definitely had some kick to it, not overpowering though . My tandoori boti chicken was tender & paired so well with the garlic naan. My auntie had the goat curry which was also very full of savory & warm spices/-I dipped my naan to sop up the goodness. My beef Seekh kabob was good but I really liked the chicken.My aints & Hubby liked their orders. My other auntie ordered a mango lass & it looked so good that ended ordering one for myself. It was a bit too sweet for my taste so I shared with Hubby & diluted it--it was a unique taste & it was refreshingly creamy, delicious! All in all it was my first taste of Indian & Korean foods, it was very tasty & we welcomed the amazing hospitality shown by Abida & Ali who helped the 2nd half of our meal. It was a great dining experience

I'd been eyeing this place because it's nearby Homeboy Coffee, so when I saw looked it up on Yelp and read through reviews & looked at the photos, I decided to get a few things; what I ordered:- Kabob platter (any 4 skewers): With Basmati and any 2 sides. $30.99With hummus and green salad as my 2 sides, I got -- Beef seekh kabob (minced beef; traditional spices & flavour), -- Chicken malai kabob (chicken cubes marinated with cardamom, cream cheese, and mozzarella), -- Chicken koobideh (minced chicken marinated with traditional sumac and saffron), and -- Chicken tandoori seekh kabob (ground chicken marinated with traditional spices along with spicy tandoori sauce).I'd forego the hummus here, but every single kabob here was absolutely delicious.The hummus was too watery and tateless.- Chicken Peshawri Chapli Kabob: Fried Minced Chicken Patty with Traditional Spices, with basmat and 1 side. $14.49Yum, yum, yum. I love chapli kabobs and to find it here was such a treat for myself. It comes with Basmati and a side of naan.I loved the flavours of every one of the kabobs and cannot wait to come back. Great West and South Asian food, so for my Persians, Arabs, and Desi folks, come here adn give it a try! And if you're looking for halal food, look no further because they're halal-certified too, I believe.I'm excited to come back and try even more of their dishes, particularly their ribs (which people are calling out as really tasty) as well as yakhni pulao.This is in a strip mall with decent sized parking, but it can get tight because sometimes the folks eating at Aburi AYCE Sushi park outside of their designated lot, taking up space for other restaurants/shops in the strip mall.

This place is soo good! And plus halal. Ali, has the most amazing stories I can talk to her for hours. and it's right around the corner from me. My go to is the chicken tikka masala and the quesadillas. But what's best is how welcoming they are. I can't wait to go there during Ramadan. It's probably lit!

Could not have picked a better spot to randomly walk into. I was a little bit late and discovered this place by accident. After speaking with the super friendly staff they recommended the spicy back ribs. Guys, arguably one of the best ribs I have ever had. They were spicy had a rich complex flavor, and just fell apart like butter - incredibly tender. Absolutely without question I will be back again!

Amazing food, great ribs, samosas and tasty paneer masala! The owner is kind, friendly and loves to share new flavors with customers! Cozy dine in space. Highly recommend them!

Food is okay for the price. They have a wide variety of food. The ribs were soft but appeared boiled all the way through.

We went over this place couple of times . We have tried ribs, biryani is very tasty. Chicken tikka masala was OK didn't like too much .. beef burgers was juicy and tasty.

We in at almost closing time and we were welcomed in. So glad we had a chance to experience halal ribs. Loved the different options for a family with different taste buds! Will have to come back!

The food served was a good portion.Very tasty. I had the bbq Korean ribs. The rice was rainbow colored and very yummy.Service was wonderful. The waiter and chef came to our table to see how everything was. Very hospitable!
