I just ate there and the only regret I have is not taking a pic.Today was our first time there and the owner was really nice and have us some recommendations and no regrets. We ordered the 3meat (Brisket, pork rib and pulled pork) / 3side (tangy slaw, corn bread and potato salad) choice and it was more than enough for the 2 of us. Meats were moist and yummy! Sides were fresh and delish. Service was great, place was clean and it made us feel welcome. This is our new BBQ place for sure.

We are regulars here but unfortunately we will probably not be coming anymore as the portion sizes seem to be shrinking. Literally this is like a doll size portion.Bought the 3 meat platter with 2 sides. Upcharge $3.50 for the sweet potato fries. Upcharge $3.50 for the brisket. Added an extra side of corn bread for $3.50. All this came to $46 with tip.$46 for a tiny 7x11 tray of food? I know inflation is up but give me a break. Zoom in on my photo guys, look at what a pathetic portion size my brisket, which was an extra $3.50, is. I'm not sure if this place is under new ownership or new staff. They had a bunch of people in the kitchen but no one I recognized.. One guy was talking real loudly and he seemed pumped to be there but none of them were friendly or even checked in on us while we ate. The other guys we used to see when we came were so friendly and would always ask us how we were doing. And our portion sizes were bigger before. Got brisket, chopped brisket, and pulled chicken. The taste has gone down a bit, the chicken was a bit shady and had some unchewable parts. The sauce here is really the best but it's just not worth coming anymore just for the sauce. After looking through some photos from other yelp reviewers, I can definitely say the amount of brisket they gave is was a total scam. They are SO short and tiny compared to other photos of brisket portions I'm seeing!! Mine were not even full pieces or slices. So disappointing.

The pulled pork was unreal. Tender and bursting with flavor. The brisket was cooked to perfection. Diverse selection of delicious sides as well. All of the meat plates let you choose 3. I got Mac and cheese, slaw, and the cornbread. The portions of the sides are on the smaller side. Not a complaint since I came for lunch and left full and satisfied but just something to note. The location is a small plaza next to Sgt pepperoni. I came during off hours and didn't have any issues with parking. 10/10 will be back!

It was mid to say the least. Should have known since it's located in Costa Mesa. I don't think they know what seasoning is in the 714. The one thing that I really enjoyed was the slaw. The brisket was cooked well but it just had no flavor. The sauce was nothing special. The Mac n cheese tasted like it was out of a Kraft deluxe box that they added some fresh cheese too. The cornbread was box as well. I wouldn't go back.

I love this place. The food is fantastic. The service is always quick and friendly. It has a real family run vibe to it. It's the kind of place you almost hate to give a good review to because while it's always busy, we managed to get a seat every time we go. I'm sure eventually that won't be the case.

For the price and for the quality of the food, this establishment has a high value. The ribs were succulent, the brisket was fall apart, and the sides and sauces you can tell we're homemade. Unfortunately, for today, I'm lazy and had to order to go but for sure next time I'm gonna go in and eat and enjoy myself in this delicious barbecue. Thank you RibBro for bringing good humble barbecue to Orange County.

We ordered to-go, so can't comment on atmosphere or service. What I can comment on is price, portions, and taste. I wasn't impressed with any of it. The following was intended to feed two adults and a toddler, but honestly, I could've eaten it all myself - it was not a lot of food. And for the price we paid, we feel robbed. Very upset we chose this place for dinner. The powerhouse brisket sandwich was the best in my opinion. It was tasty, and came with plenty of sauce. However, I could literally count the number of paper-thin fries it came with - a pitifully low amount. Also - and this goes for all their sides - they come in containers barely larger than sauce containers. Like you get three bites and the sides are gone basically. We also got a two meat item plate, which came with three sides. We were excited to sample three sides until we realized how small they were. The beans, cornbread, and street corn were all a joke. The meat in the combo plate had issues, too. The ribs were of jerky texture (you can tell how dry they were from the pic I shared). Chicken was alright, but nothing special.

This review is long overdue, but finding this picture of my ribs platter in my folder made my mouth watered enough that I had to come and leave my thoughts.I stumbled upon this place because I had a visitor who wanted to eat bbq so I yelped around my work place and found this gem. The seating area was relatively small; the plaza it's in was nothing to write home about. But the food, the FOOD, on the other hand... I can't rave enough about the ribs, about the sausage, the fries, the different sauces, the sides, the portion, the price... my family has been getting gift cards to the larger bbq chains in the area, but I'm going to get this meal for them one of these days, and they'll stop getting the gift cards I'm sure.

Was looking for a place that would offer me a special meal for dinner. Looked online and saw this place had tons of great reviews and decided to give it a try.I wasn't certain how the food would be since everyone has a different style of BBQ and this place had a bit of an asian/korean fusion to it, but that's what adventure is all about. And boy did they deliver.I ordered the three meat platter, which comes with three sides. If you choose certain meats like the ribs or brisket each are an additional 2 dollars. I got the Pork Ribs, Brisket, BBQ Chicken and for my sides, Mac and Cheese, BBQ Beans, and Corn Bread. Overall my meal ran me about 30 bucks. It is hard to say which item from the meats were best for me. The chicken had me a bit worried because of the pink hue, but it was delicious. The meat was smokey and the chicken was still juicy. 4/5The ribs were also great. They come with a dry rub, which on its own but with the different BBQ sauces, takes them to a whole new level. 4.5/5.Their brisket was also something special. It was so fatty, and decadent, and soft, with the delicious salt and pepper finish. Easy 5/5.They have 3 different sauces that are self serve as well. They have a traditional BBQ, a Korean BBQ fusion, and a mustard sauce. Each one is a 5/5.Now to the side dishes. By far the make and cheese and corn bread blew me away. Mac and cheese is the easiest side that most places just bomb at. There are maybe 3 resturants I have ever been too, that made a Mac and cheese worth eating, and this place is one. It was creamy, salty, they used good cheeses, and more importantly it wasn't that runny wet box crap.Their corn bread was special as well. It was moist and robust, it was almost a dessert in itself. And it's served with a whipped butter and honey. The only item I had that needed improvement was the beans. At least for me I like them a bit softer, mine were a bit more aldente then I would like, and the flavor overall was just okay for me.Saddly they were all out of their chicken wings and they only offer teramasu for dessert. They happened to be sold out of both though. The server and the chef were both great, friendly and accommodating. This location is a little on the small side so not great for large groups, but they do offer indoor and outdoor seating. Check them out, their food is legitimate.

I rarely write reviews, but this place absolutely blew me away, hands down the best BBQ I've ever had. I got the two-meat combo with brisket and ribs, and halfway through the meal, I tossed my knife aside, it just wasn't needed. The meat was just that tender. In my opinion a BBQ spot is defined by its cornbread, and after putting honey and butter on mine, I was hitting my fists on the table. The service was quick, which is something a lot of BBQ joints struggle with, and by the time I rolled myself out of there, stuffed and happy, I was already planning my next visit.I hope this place never changes.
