Red Flame

Loved my visit at the Red Flame! My friend and I each got our own separate bowls, so we could try two at the same time, and both were lovely! This place is definitely a fusion, and I noticed both the tonkotsu and house special had a Vietnamese fusion to it. For those of you who have had hủ tiếu, I would say the Tonkotsu is a creamier cousin. House special had a bit of a Tom yum kick to it, loved it! My only complaints were the waiters did not come by frequently to resupply water, and the area wasn't the most bike friendly-- not too big of a bother. You just have to park your bikes elsewhere because the space offered is fairly small. We arrived during peak dinner hour, but the restaurant was very spacious and clean; there was absolutely no wait time, and we were delivered our food promptly. Red Flame did not disappoint!

My friends and I came here for dinner, but most of us didn't order the hot pot. The one friend who did didn't finish her meal or rave about it, so take that as you will. That said, here's a review of the other entrees.We arrived on a Monday night at 9 PM, and there was no wait; we were practically the only customers. Most of us ordered the ribeye steak (medium) with different side options. I went with French fries and broccoli. They also gave us a hilariously pathetic side salad. Literally just a handful of lettuce with a squirt of vinegar.Ribeye Steak: 3/5Mediocre at best. Given the price, I wasn't expecting a high-quality cut, but it was still underwhelming. The hot griddle made it messy to eat since the steak juices were leaking everywhere, some even spilled off the wooden tray. The fries were crispy, the broccoli was just blanched with no seasoning, and none of the sauces were particularly good (not that steak really needs sauce imo).For the price, Red Flame is fine. It gives off Denny's vibes: you're not really here for the food but if there's nothing else to eat (which, by the way, there is. Sabrosada is across the plaza), it'll do.

Place is big and spacious, plenty of parking since it's in a big strip mall. The service is very nice and politely. Some of the foods we want to tried are not available here then one in Irvine (per the server said since they're short staff here). The foods are just aok, nothing appealing much (except the pics). The meat was bla...tasteless without the sauces but the fried was great, crispy outside and soft inside, perfectly fried. And the noodle was ok, I had better before and plenty of it. I wasn't disappointed since with the prices, you kind of wonder if it could be that good, and no it wasn't, just aok. I should have order the hot pot instead since they're known for it. Oh well, next time.

This place has improved over the years and I just came back today with a friend to eat. I had gotten the ribeye steak with fries and mashed potatoes. My friend had gotten the steak garlic noodles. We also got golden fries fish balls which are always a hit every time. The total came out to $54 which isn't bad at all. Service is fast and there are new things added to the menu that I'm excited to try next time.

Service was great. Lots of variety on their menu. Good came quick and had good flavor. A little salty for me, but I have a low tolerance. The stock was flavorful with a good ginger flavor.

I love how this place is always super quick. I hate waiting around forever. It's super clean inside and the service is great. My soup every single time is amazing and I crave it until I return. All the things going on in that pot....YUM. SO GOOOOOOD!!

Service wasn't too bad. Quick and efficient. And they offer free boba with your order which is nice. Food was okay we ordered garlic noodlesAnd chashu . It tasted kinda dry. Currently ambiance was a little dull because of the construction going on. Probably explained why not so many customers thatNight .

Currently open during plaza renovations. Come early and there's no crowd. Clean seating, clean bathrooms, friendly staff, and one Free drink included. Love it The Thai flavor hot pot was good and you can taste the lemongrass. But the original house special in mild spice was especially tasty IMO. Come try it.

Tried this place for a Friday lunch and we were the only ones there at noon. Service was slow which was a surprise. Our meal came with a free boba drink. The steak was a thin ribeye. Flavors were ok. interesting concept but not sure if i'll be coming back as it was ok
