A definite hole-in-the-wall. It looks small from the outside but it's spacious on the inside. Upon entering, you see seating on the right hand side and the meat shop to the left hand side. Walking straight into the establishment, you'll see where to order. You order the food, you are handed your receipt and pay after. To pay is the rotating table you see at a grocery store, and it's near the point of entry.You don't wait too long for the food. My friend is vegetarian, so she ordered 3 Espinaca (spinach) empanadas.I had ordered one Carne (beef) empanada and one Espinaca (spinach) empanada. We ordered it with spicy chimichurri. It's not that spicy but there's a nice gentle kick to the palate. Trust me when I say I am sensitive to spicy foods. So this passes the spice test. Also, disclaimer to the chimichurri sauce, it is oily, so be careful. We asked for a spoon so we can add it into our empanadas. It was my first time here and the empanadas were so delicious and thick. I only could handle two.The people that sat near our table had ordered the turkey sandwich and it was massive. The pictures on the menu don't do the size of the sandwich justice. I'm definitely trying their sandwiches next time.

Came back to my fav empanada place. We order a dozen and usually eat a few and take the rest home to freeze and eat for snacks. My wife isn't a fan of the chivito sandwiches but I really like it. As you can see from the photo, it's quite a sizable meal. I usually eat half and take the rest home as a meal for the next day. The dozen empanadas come with 2 sauces and the sandwich comes with 1. We can on a Saturday and there was a pretty good local crowd watching a soccer game. All in all, an excellent pickup for $40.

Was craving empanadas and was in the Santa Ana area when I stumbled upon this little hole in the wall market. I ordered a doz empanada half chicken half beef to go. I would recommend calling ahead of time to place your order as these are freshly baked to order and take a bit of time to get them just right. After getting in the car and heading home I had to crack open the box because I just couldn't take the delicious smell anymore and boy was I happy I did. Best empanada I have had in a while. These have just the right amount of filling and the right consistency of the outside pastry. Nice, flaky and toasty. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting an authentic empanada.

Wow! So a coworker of mine brought these empanadas to work one day. I had to get the info! Today my mom and I came on our own and got some. So TASTY!!! I will be coming here for my empanadas from now on!!!!!

This has amazing empanadas with spicy sauce. Make sure u call and order ahead, or u will wait 30 minutes like me but it's worth it. Super friendly cashier, love it!!

I liked that they had great food choices for my kid , the imported food is very expensive but really worth it to me if you are homesick they have guava, coconut, dulce de leche , fried plantains, Yerba mate, miga tea sandwiches, nice varieties and something for everyone.

Went in today to buy a dozen empanadas. These are truly delicious.I find it ridiculous that you only get 2 chimichurri sauces for TWELVE empanadas. When I bought 6 at my last visit, I also got 2. I understand that times are more expensive now & yes if I want 5 or six extra sauces, I don't mind paying extra. But, only 2 for a dozen empanadas is just nickel & diming your customers.

my go to spot for empanadas! I always get the dozen and spicy chimichurri. I have always had great service from everyone in the market. Go check them out!
