Still the best hot pot place in the area. I've been to lots of different Taiwanese-style hot pot restaurants, but Pot on Fire still takes the crown in overall flavor and in appetizers. The Taiwanese Spicy Beef Pot and the Sukiyaki Pot are my personal favorites, both at a medium spice level is perfect. The meat is always soft and tender, and the broth itself is always packed with flavor. They even have the best popcorn chicken that I have ever had, and considering that they are not a restaurant that specializes in popcorn chicken, yet still have the best recipe, is saying a LOT. I also love their stuffed fish balls and their fried mini tofu. Pot on Fire is the best overall hot pot restaurant. While others may have the edge in soup flavor, the diversity that Pot on Fire provides is undefeated. I will admit that their customer service could use a bit of work, staff always seems to be in a rush and it is often hard to flag down a waiter/waitress to get refills or to ask for additional items, however, the menu and the pure taste of all of their food is more than enough to compensate for that.

I came to the restaurant at 8pm.The server last night who worked on 2/26/25 at 8pm was rude. He was tall, and very mean. He was annoyed, and told me the kitchen was closing in 10 mins and that I had to order right away. I told him I will decide and what's the rush I have 10 minutes, he told me to relax . After that I asked for a manager he did not get the manager. So another server an older lady came and helped and she told me the kitchen closes at 9pm. So the guy who told me I has only 10 mins to order made no sense. The food is always good at pot on fire and the Vibes were good. Please make sure to talk to the server he is not nice or helpful.

The restaurant is well lit and the service is amazing. They provided samples of anticipated menu items - at the time they gave us TakoyakiThere are a variety of different soups to choose. This is what stands out compared to its competitor, Boiling Point, located a few blocks away. I like that you can choose the level of spice and between vermicelli and rice. The spiciest level isn't all too spicy (6/10) but the flavor no matter which pot you choose is excellent.

I visited on Monday around lunchtime, and the place got really packed right after opening. If you're coming here, come for the food, not the service. The food was excellent, the Taiwanese spicy beef is always on point and still my favorite dish. The Beef Bento also has a good portion of meat with a decent price. However, the service could use some improvement. The server didn't seem to speak English very well and wasn't very friendly. He placed water with no ice on my table without saying anything, and didn't ask if I wanted ice water or anything else.Ordering was done through a phone scan of the barcode on the table. The wait time for food wasn't too long, and they offer one free iced green tea or black tea with every pot you order. After ordering, the server will ask which tea you prefer. The pot also comes with choices of steam rice / glass noodles.Overall, the food is great, the restaurant is clean, and the prices are affordable. I'll definitely be back.

My friends and I have been coming here for some time now. Today I tried their mushroom pot. It's a vegetarian item but added beef to mines for an up charge. Really good and highly recommend! Tiewanese food a must try if u haven't yet. They also have other locations but this location is closer to us and the customer service is also top notch! Place is clean. Does get busy both lunch and dinner times I've been here so be prepared for wait times.

Food was pretty good. My dish was ordered not spicy but when they brought it out, they said it is still spicy as a base. You order through your phone and no one is really engaged to answer questions. They give you a free tea with hot pot and someone will ask you what f you want black or green. The place fills up quickly and it's a bit small, so plan ahead. It's a normal noise level and bright lighting so it's pretty calm inside. I don't know if I would drive for this one again.

It's not too often I get Hot Pot, but Pot on Fire definitely impressed me and left me full. Once we arrived, we hopped on the digital waitlist and waited about 10 minutes to be seated; it was quite busy in the evening on the weekend, so expect a wait. Once walking in, you just get a whiff of seafood smell. You can order everything digitally, and they have an extensive menu and even their own brand of bubble tea. While we were entering our order online, the waitress actually took our order, which was much more convenient. I ordered the Sukiyaki Pot, which has Japanese Udon inside. All of their pots have so many toppings to enjoy! Once they light the pot up, I recommend that you ask an employee to turn it off after 5-10 minutes. Everything was super hot so fast, haha. I'm returning and will try their popcorn chicken next time.

I haven't been to many of these personal hotpot places, but I am now a huge fan of pot on fire. I don't know if this type of concept is very popular in New York City other than at like a Korean restaurant where there is like budajigae. But I'm obsessed with this personal hotspot concept type of restaurant. Plus the food is affordable and filling. I think it's such a great price for 20 bucks. I was able to be full and have leftovers. This is definitely a place with shareable portion sizes. Will definitely need to look for more of these type of restaurants to try in California and New York.
