Great restaurant! Unsure why the reviews aren't at least 4 out of 5. My husband surprised me with brunch reservations here for us and our two children. It was a special event and my first time there. The decor is beautiful, understated modern and takes advantage of the nice outdoor setting. We had a reservation when they opened at 10am, several other people did too so we waited a few minutes to be seated it was a reasonable amount of time. After being seated a few minutes our server came over to take our drink order and then we headed to the buffet. I am NOT a fan of buffets typically preferring quality over quantity but this was an exception. The food was well made and brought out to the buffet constantly in smaller portions so it never sat out for a long time (our table was near the buffet and we watched the staff swap out trays). There were nicer buffet standards - eggs Benedict, sausage/bacon, tasty hash brown potato cakes, fried chicken and waffles (a favorite when done well and these were), bagels/toast/muffins/pastries, a carving station, fruit, salads, vegetable platter and THE SEAFOOD. High quality lobster tails, lox, oysters, shrimp, and ceviche. The owners are a husband and wife, the wife was table touching and stopped by to make sure we were taken care of. Because it was a special event there was a two hour max on the table which is typical for this size of restaurant during an event. Only call out is there was a delay in getting our first round of drinks but it was a busy brunch and understandable.I've worked in corporate hospitality and have high standards for food but am forgiving if service goes a little awry sometimes. I loved this restaurant and will be returning very soon!

I would give this a solid 3.5 stars. I love the look and feel of this place. It's like you're having bunch in a green house. So the natural light is amazing and white decor made it feel even lighter. The drinks are great. You can tell they make their own syrups. The food was just okay. I had the short rib hash and the chicken and waffles. The short rib hash had great flavor, it was just a little dry. The chicken was moist but the batter would fall off with each bite. The waffle was just okay, it could use a little love!Great aesthetically but the food was just okay!!

Ambience 4/5: The ambience is trendy and cute with an interior arboretum feel (if they let you sit inside). Otherwise they have an outdoor which would be a lot cuter if most of the tables weren't on dirt. Service: 1/5. This is where it falls short and would prevent me from coming back. We came at opening at 10am and had a reservation. The hostess sat us outside and I asked if we could sit inside. She said no because it's for bigger parties and she had reservations coming in at 10:30 and 10:15 and quickly left. Which I think is absurd that you can't sit inside if you're only a party of 2. I talked to another person and asked them if they're saying that parties of 2 are not allowed to sit inside because it's a smaller group? And she said well people have reservations later and I informed her I had a reservation for now. And she goes to talk to someone and returns 10 minutes later. And in that 10 minutes no one says anything to us. Finally a server comes over and starts to pour water and the hostess finally comes back and said they were able to rearrange it so we could sit inside but another people have reservations at our table at 11:30 so you need to leave by then. So rude. Whatever we go because we won't be that long anyways. Then our waiter inside comes and says I understand you guys need to leave by 11:30 as if it was our choice. And I say no, you guys are kicking us out by then. And from the photo you can see how many EMPTY tables they still have at 11:00am even though the hostess said we couldn't sit inside because it was all booked up with reservations. Ridiculous and so rude. Almost just walked out and left but our server was at least nice. Food: 3/5 Pretty normal brunch food. The coffee machine was broken that day so we couldn't get any coffee. My husband got the chicken waffles and he enjoyed it. I got the scramble and it was a basic scramble. Not bad but nothing great and could probably make it at home. I do think it's overpriced. $26 for the chicken and waffle. $16 for a glass of wine. Parking: hard to find at night but they have valet!Overall this place is cute if you just care about the vibe/atmosphere. The food is average. But the service alone would prevent me from coming back or recommending.

From the moment we walked up we could tell we were going to have a good experience. The combination of indoor & outdoor elements & friendly hosts brought a sense of relief after our first spot was too busy for us to sit. The place was surprisingly packed & vibrant, but they were able to accommodate us immediately & we went ahead & ordered some coffee, the lobster roll & chicken & waffles. Shortly after ordering we decided to order some alcoholic beverages & boy were we glad we did. I got the michelada, which was one of the best I've had in a long time. The food spoke for itself & was delicious to say the least. The proportions were just enough to get us right.Definitely coming back again soon to try their dinner menu!

Came here for brunch and we all had a great experience. The interior of the greenhouse is very beautiful and has large trees and plants that you can sit around. The servers were really friendly as well. I ordered a Mimosa and Eggs Benedict with Avocado. The eggs were cooked to perfection and the biscuit wasn't soggy or hard. After finishing our food, there was a cute flea market in the courtyard right outside the restaurant, so we walked around for awhile. Parking in Downtown Anaheim is always a nightmare but luckily we parked in a structure about a block down. Overall, great place!

A farm to table restaurant that tries very hard to be upscale. The food is great, not amazing, while the ambiance and service could use some fine tuning. Weekend dinner time we had reservations and even though they had open tables inside they sat us outside where we were almost the only party out there. Kind of awkward and even though they had heatlamps, sometimes cold and sometimes too hot. Service was hit and miss. Our server was friendly and polite but wasn't too knowledgable or present during our dinner. Food or water they (not us) spilled on the table was not cleaned up either. Lobster Roll: GetThe lobster and the bread were amazingly delicious. Buttery, juicy, and an extremely mouth watering New England dish. However, the caviar and uni didn't add as much flavor and salinity as I was expecting so that was a let down. Beef tartare: GetAlso amazingly juicy and savory. It was wonderfully rich and a great way to start the night. I wish it had a little bit more freshness but can't complain too much about this. Aged White Cheddar Cheese Dip: SkipThe chips are house made and so crunchy and crispy. However, the cheese dip was very fatty and salty and overpowering. Tortellini: GetSo supple and juicy, these two pieces will satisfy your pasta cravings for the night. The sauce compliments it very well and I ended up licking the plate clean!Potatoes: GetI'm so surprised at the amount of potatoes that came out... I feel like this is the best bang for your buck dish. Potatoes were nice and fluffy and great to share with the table Scallops: Get!!!Cooked to perfection, scallops are my favorite thing when done well and this dish made my night. Food: 9/10 Service: 6/10 Atmosphere: 6/10 Value: 5/10

Had my birthday dinner here last night and had an incredible meal with even more incredible company. From the drinks to the service, everything was great. They sat us on the patio and we felt like the whole place was ours. It's was so warm with the outside heaters, we were able to eat without our coats. I wanted to order everything, but here's what I had: wagyu steak Cooked perfectly but was a smaller portion size, granted it came with potatoes. Carbonara that was more of a cacio e pepe, but no complaints from me. Soooo yummy. Brussels sprouts, huge portion and great for sharing. Marinated olives - a must. But the sourdough bread was out of this world. You HAVE to get this.Others at the table had the sweet potato/carrot/kale side and I would go back just for that dish!! 10/10 The cheese and chips starter was also amazing and presented like caviar!I had the fig cocktail and a whiskey drink, would get both again All in all, our experience was worth every dollar. Such a great place for a great dinner.

Went to poppy & seed to celebrate a bday that was mentioned when making our 2;30 reservation, not only did they not acknowledge the birthday they close on Sundays at 3.. therefore only a 30 minute lunch was allowed, seems odd that they would let you make a reservation at 2:30 when they close so soon after. It is an expensive place, our glass of wine was $22. I just didn't expect to be kicked out like that, or have chairs being put away while have lunch with friends... for the future I hope they inform guest they close early when allowing to booking 30 minutes prior

The vibe is very chill and relax with indoor outdoor seating available. Our server walked us through the menu and made great recommendations. We decided to go with the stuff blossom, toast, Garganelli, Butternut Squash Ravioli, and kale and carrots for the side. Each dish that we order was very flavorful. The pasta and the kale carrot side were highlights. The taste was definitely on point portion sizes could be a little bit larger. Along with dessert and four cocktails our dinner for two came out to be around $240. Not yet cheapest meal but you can taste the quality. Would like to come back and try their brunch menu

Poppy & Seed is an exquisite fine-dining restaurant that exceeds the ordinary restaurant experience. At Poppy & Seed, each dish is plated uniquely, and the one-of-a-kind recipes really tantalize your taste buds. The creativity and perfection poured into each plate is artistically intriguing. I felt like I was diving into a celebration of flavors with a little bit of this and that. The grilled octopus was charred beautifully and the bits of natural ingredients made the dish come alive. The pastas were well-seasoned and lusciously creamy. The gargenelli was a bit too salty. The tortellini was fantastic. The special atmosphere made the whole dining experience memorable, and our server was bursting with enthusiasm for our celebratory moment. Poppy & Seed is a stunning venue!
