Poke Ave

My husband and I were craving poke while we were in the North Orange County area and found our way over to Poke Ave. There was a lot of selection in terms of items required to build one's bowl, pricing was fair for the generous portions, and service was friendly. As first time diners, the establishment left a great first impression.Poke Ave is located off of Imperial Highway in Brea and can be found in a small shopping strip. There is free parking for customers shared among the other businesses. My husband and I both ordered poke bowls; a regular size and large size, respectively. The proteins were fresh and of good quality. The lady assembling the bowl was extremely generous with all of the fixings. We had a delicious lunch that definitely filled us up. Their Garlic Lemon Creamy sauce paired nicely with my salad-based bowl. We are adding Poke Ave to our list of places to stop if we're craving poke in the area. Looking forward to returning soon.

Wasn't really greeted welcome. I was looking at the menu above on the wall, I asked if I can see the size of the bowls & she said it's all the same. I said what do you mean, she said just less scoop.. all other poke shops I've been too had different bowl sizes so this took me by surprise. She said small is this much scoop and I said okay, how much is it (cause it wasn't on the wall menu) she pointed at the glass window in front of me & said it's right there. I thought that was rude like how am I supposed to read and scan everything, I've been reading the board. She seemed to just want me out. She said sides, I picked all of them like I normally do & she said you only get x amount and I'm like wow okay.. I paid, got my water cup & sat down. It was just bizarre customer service. Then when I assume regulars who came in cause they knew how to order, she had a smile on, she said welcome & thank you! She said if you just come here it's cheaper than ordering online I'll make it fast. It was like she was a different person lol I hope she treats others who don't know how to order there with more respect. There's another poke spot near by so next time I will be going there instead.

Went here for a quick lunch break on an in-office day and it was a decent experience. It's your typical poke spot where you go down the line choosing what you want in your bowl. Service was quick and you even get free miso soup for your poke bowl order, which was great!! The miso soup was tasty, really enjoyed it.As for the poke bowl, pretty decent portion. I got the regular (3 scoops), which had a good amount of fish (salmon and tuna). I got the Loco ll, which was okay. I think it's sriracha base? Not entirely sure but wasn't a fan, I ended up dousing my bowl with soy sauce. I did get the wasabi mayo on the side, I should have honestly just got that to be my main sauce. Next time tho.A cool and unique thing this place has is you can makeyour own ramen. Kinda like a ramen convenience store, you choose your ramen and they have hot water for you to enjoy it. They have all kinds of different ramen to choose from.This is one of the more decent poke spots around OC, I recommend and I'd be back again during my lunch breaks.

Was in the neighborhood picking up some food for the family and as usual everyone wants something different.Last stop before I brought lunch back home was this new restaurant that serves my daughter's favorite...POKE . There was designated parking just for the restaurant,which was cool .The restaurant was very clean and all the food not only looked fresh but was delicious! The staff was super helpful and friendly especially since it was my first time there.The service was great and fast and the price was fair. I definitely will be coming back!

The costumer service was great. We were welcome as we entered and helped right away. The restaurant has seating inside and it was very clean. The food was delicious and fresh. Everything was great. The only negative was we prefer to wash our hands before we eat. They do not have a restroom for their costumers to use only hand sanitizers on the table.

I don't usually leave reviews, but my experience at this restaurant was so horrible that it motivated me to write one.The moment I walk in, there's a middle aged woman standing there staring at me without any proper greetings. Since she was just standing in front of me and staring, I felt pressured to order right away without getting a moment to read the menu and when I tried to ask questions, such as the bowl size (how was I supposed to know that all the bowls are the same size? Actually read another negative review about this) and additional toppings, she gave me an attitude when answering and always added "it says it on the sign right there" at the end, basically telling me just read the sign instead of bothering her.It's my first time at the restaurant and I'm sorry I didn't have the entire menu and additional signs memorized in my head. Maybe if she gave me a moment to breathe and read the menu and look at all the toppings when I first walked in instead of being on top of me to order so that she can go back inside to sit and chill, I wouldn't have to bother her at all by asking any questions.I felt so uncomfortable the entire time I was ordering and my husband who was with me said he also felt intimidated and uncomfortable by that lady's attitude. In fact, we felt so uncomfortable that we didn't even want to eat inside. We took the food and ate it outside.The food didn't even taste that good. It was very bland... I've definitely had better poke bowls before. Therefore, there is absolutely no reason for us to go back there ever again.

Lovely experience chatting with the owner and sharing experiences with her. She's kind and the food is awesome. Fresh, well prepared, and the portion is generous. Would gladly come back for my local poke fix.

After months of visiting this plaza weekly for my kid, I recently decided to stop in and give it a shot.So glad I did because my bowl was delicious. Tried it again the following week and it's still great. It will be my new weekly stop while I wait to pick up my kid from a nearby business.

Food Quality:White Rice Poke WrapThe food was fresh and very delicious as I got my Tuna, Salmon scoops, and 3 toppings. The 911 sauce is a must-try for spicy lovers! (5/5)Service:Service was fine. The lady kinda seemed impatient while I was ordering, but I'm not too sure so I will give her the benefit of the doubt (4/5)Ambiance:This place was clean and with no one eating around the time I was there. It's mostly a to-go spot, however, there are a few seatings there if you want to just eat around. (5/5)Value:The lady serving me barely added any tuna and salmon for the scoops. For around $20, it was 100% not worth it. I would not go again for the wrap due to its inflated price. Katie the owner is absolutely amazing!!!! The food is fantastic!!! Very clean place!
