Pocket Burger Shack

Not a chain restaurant. This is a local, small business with outstanding owners and management handing the day to day operations. Pocket Burger cares about serving good food at reasonable prices. They do not skimp on portions. Food is fresh, tasty and appropriately seasoned without being overly salted. Pocket Burger's breakfast burrito is always my go to! Be sure to add avocado.

I finally tried a burger. The BBQ burger. I got it with chipotle mayo instead of bbq sauce. I have to agree with a previous review that said I don't get the hype. The burger patty had good flavor but overall it was dry, almost no cheese on it. A similar burger at 4 Sons blows this away. Got it with garlic fries. The first time I got them they were good but this time they were bland and lacking flavor. Lots of chopped up garlic but I detected no taste of garlic. I'm going to stay at 4 stars because the tri-tip and onion rings were really good as well.as the hot dog so there are certain items worth coming back for plus I'd like to try another burger choice.

Enjoying the area while visiting kiddos for the holiday. It was a lazy morning at Bolsa Chica RV Park and decided to grab a quick breakfast. I got a breakfast sandwich: plain bagel with ham, scrambled egg and tots. You definitely get quite a bit for $8 but really wasn't a fan. The bagel was fresh and nicely toasted but had a lot of butter or mayo. The ham was tasty but the egg was not my favorite. It appeared to be cooked in a microwave and was undercooked for my liking. The tots were plenty and good. I decided to deconstruct the sandwich and eat the bagel and ham separately. All in all the sandwich was acceptable.Service was quick and personable. The establishment was clean and welcoming. The food was nicely packed with napkin and condiments. A plus in my book! So, if you want a quick bite to eat on the way to/fro the beach, stop on it but before 3 when they close.

The most delicious, crispy, freshly made onion rings. You know when you take a bite of shitty diner onion rings and the onion slips out like cheap panties and a dollar store wh-. Well this isn't that. The onion rings were crafted by the gods behind the counters. The burger constructed from the grill to the ceiling with an egg, large patty, lettuce tomato and onion. So large you can hardly get it in one bite. This place is a local favorite for a reason. Fighting demons to look for parking is worth it when this is the reward. 10/10

Dropped in for my birthday, we've been coming to this shack for over 10 years. Come to find out the previous owners sold to a new amazing couple. Which kept the original flavors, menu and recipes. Still high standards with great flavor, and great portions. We stopped by a little after 10-11 am and got chatting with the couple who now owns the business and how they got it. A really amazing story and so so friendly, they gave our children a couple small dishes of sherbet while we chatted with them and waited for our burgers. Wish to have stayed and chatted longer but had to road trip back home. We will still be coming back as often as we can. WE LOVE POCKET BURGER!!

This is my family's favorite takeout place. We tell all of our Airbnb guests about it. They serve one of the best burgers in Sunset Beach!

Pocket Burger Shack delivers a warm and welcoming experience with exceptionally friendly staff who ensure your visit is enjoyable. The dining area is small but cozy, complemented by ample parking in the back. While the burgers are on the pricier side, the quality makes them worth it. The Pocket Burger with grilled onions was flavorful and satisfying, and the garlic Parmesan fries were fresh and perfectly seasoned. A great spot for a delicious meal.

A pocket full of sunshine in Huntington Beach. Pocket Burger is a hidden gem! This small, hole-in-the-wall spot serves up some of the best burgers and fries in the city. I recently stopped by after a nearby paddle boarding adventure and was absolutely ravenous. I ordered their salmon burger, which tasted fresh, juicy, with the perfect amount of toppings. I also ordered a side of their crispy, perfectly-fried, fries. These were honestly the best fries I've had in years.This business sits on PCH, just steps away from the ocean. There's a small number of patio seats available, but it's well worth it to take your meal to go and enjoy it on the sand. The only downside is the parking, which can be a bit tricky, but the meal is well worth the effort.

Really tasty meal with generous portions. Absolutely hit the spot for lunch. Fast, friendly service. Nice outdoor seating area.
