Very good pho. Flavorful but on the oily side. Portions are pretty big (one size only)Be wary of limited parking around the building.

Good quality, good quantity, good value.Ultimately, I enjoyed my meal but there are enough small reasons for me to not come back. Especially considering the depth of competition in this area, I probably wouldn't make a very big effort to come back here.I came here upon recommendation and after trying Pho 79. PhoHolic and Pho 79 are often revered as the best pho restaurants in Orange County which is THE place to go to for Vietnamese food in the west coast (and honestly in the country). To be honest, their pho isn't to my taste but I was still able to enjoy my bowl.I ordered a #11 and was pleased but a bit surprised with my bowl. The broth is on the beefier side and isn't aromatic as I expected. The bowl had a decent amount of meat but I wouldn't say they were too generous with it. For the aromatics on the side, they only offer thai basil and no mint. They offer blanched and softened bean sprouts which I loved at first, but once I threw them into my bowl I realized they were most likely blanched in just plain water because they didn't have much flavor and somewhat watered down my bowl. There are also several other points that I would have to nit-pick on but aren't necessarily too important. I'd prefer if they blanched them in the pho broth or honestly just serve them raw so I could blanch them myself in my own soup. Also, for their onions on the side, they were a tad bit too pickled and came with a bit too much juice without enough onions. And finally their utensils are on the cheaper sides. The chopsticks were thin and flimsy and bent as I used them to eat.Although these are small nit-picky things, I think as one of the most known pho restaurants in Orange County, it is quite disappointing that they cut so many tiny corners.

This OG location of PhoHolic (which is also downstairs at South Coast Plaza and in Rodeo 39) scores points right off the bat as an increasingly rare post-9pm Pho option. A recent visit yesterday evening at about 9:10pm was met with a modest waitlist of several parties. Our large group of over a dozen was seated across a few tables in a reasonable 10-15 minutes. Parking is competitive, with fewer than a dozen spots in the lot and some additional options along the alley. Staff is fairly active on the floor and easy to flag down, which is really the approach one needs to take when eating here - in my experience, PhoHolic is not the type of restaurant where you'll check checked up on with multiple table touches. This spot is pretty bare bones, though it's well-lit after a recent remodeling and with reasonably maintained hygiene. My order last evening was a bowl of thin noodles with brisket, beef balls, and tendon. Shortly after ordering, our table was adorned with accoutrements: a plate of basil, culantro, bean sprouts, and jalapeños, pickled onions, and spring onions bathing luxuriously in some seriously viscous, fatty, oil. All of these were satisfactory. Within the bowl itself, the noodles and soup here are presented at an agreeable temperature and consistency. A few scoops into the broth of the aforementioned fatty oil from the scallions offers a more indulgent experience. The brisket here is unabashedly uncircumcised, with pretty hefty flops of fat flap. The portion of bò viên is on the generous side. This is also the case for the tendon, though the offerings last night were distinctly sinewy, with some pieces rubbery to the point of requiring some exhausting gnawing. The phở itself here is satisfying enough - just about 4 stars on a good night, though for me it lacks the wow factor to measure up to the fellow Michelin-tagged Pho 79.

Came for dinner on a Saturday night. We were about 8 deep on the wait-list, but didn't wait very long. Parking is a bit challenging, though.Broth is very flavorful and there was plenty of protein in both Pho dishes we got.

Very good and satiating pho bowls in a small shop with small parking lot. The smell of delicious pho broth is prominent inside and even leaks outside to the parking lot as you drive by. Pros:-very good and large bowls of pho (one size only) can order extra add ons-very good pho meat options and variety-broth is very good-free side toppings with each pho order includes bean sprouts, greens, limes, onions-free iced tea, hot tea or water -restrooms but located just outside the restroom outside a different door on the other side of entrance -free but very small parking lot Cons:-can expect a wait during peak lunch and dinner hours, even on weekdays!

I was told the oxtail pho here was the best and was very excited to try this place. Waited about 5-10 minutes on a Sunday morning. Noticed there was only pho and tea/beverages on the menu. Low key a bummer because we normally like to order other appetizers with our pho but took this as a good sign. When a restaurant that serves one thing on the menu, you can expect it'll be really good. So why the 3 star rating? First, I asked if the watermelon juice was freshly squeezed. Server said "yes, freshly squeezed" but I was served a jasmine and watermelon flavored teas with little diced watermelon. Second, while the pho broth was incredible and flavorful, the oxtail was so rubbery, fatty, and the opposite of fall off the bone. I needed a fork and knife to eat this. Unfortunately, after our pho was served, I had a hard time waving down a server so gave up on asking for utensils. Our meal was good but left more to be desired.

I was in Westminister on New Year's day and drove by this place with a lot of people, and immediately found out that it's the pho place that everyone talks about in oc. I came around 2pm and there was still a long line, so I ended up waiting close to an hour. However, the food came out quickly once seated. It was very tasty and definitely one of the best phos I've had, with the broth being really rich and flavorful. The meat were tender as well. Given the price and portion, it's definitely really good but I would come again during non-peak times.

I've been here a few times and I know I will be upsetting many with this 3-star review. So, like many others have said, this place make very good pho (back before the interior redesign). However, on the last few visits, the beef soup stock is now on the sweet side and I want savory. Also, they can't seem to manage drink orders. They can bang our bowls of pho quickly but order a lot of drinks (even hot water) and that seems to really get the staff stumped. They are still very popular but since I am driving down from LA, I'm not sure they are worth the drive from SGV (which has many pho options) unless the old soup broth comes back.

1. Parking is horrendous. I think the lot fits only 12 cars. Don't bother turning into the parking lot. Just drive past it and turn into the neighborhood to park in the street. You'll work up an appetite and can walk off what you ate. 2. It gets very, very crowded so come early. Be prepared to wait. Guaranteed. As you wait, look at the menu so you can order right away on once you are seated.3. Service is really quick and friendly. It gets loud but what good pho place isn't?4. The broth is amazing!!!!!! You get all the typical sides. Dousing the onions in hoisin sauce and Sriracha is a must. 5. I wish the broth was hot. It didn't cook my flank so I had to request for a separate bowl of hot broth and that still wasn't hot enough. 6. The oxtail was not tender. No fall-off-the- bone deal. When I return, I'll order pho without the oxtail.
