Phnom Penh Noodle Shack truly delivers on authentic Cambodian flavors. Their light yet deeply flavorful broth and some of the best egg noodles I've ever had make this spot a standout. And let's not forget the bread, absolutely worth ordering! This cozy, no-frills restaurant sits on the corner of a busy street near Cambodia Town, blending into the residential surroundings. It wasn't quite what I expected when we first pulled up, but the food quickly made up for it.The service is fast and efficient, with friendly staff ensuring a smooth experience. Prices are reasonable, especially considering the generous portions. The dining area is small, but they handle the space well to keep things moving. We tried a couple of soup-style noodle dishes, and they did not disappoint. The broth was rich in flavor without being too heavy, and the stir-fried noodles were just as delicious. Everything tasted fresh and authentic.Parking can be a bit of a challenge since there's no designated lot, but street parking is manageable. Sherman Pl. is a good option if you're looking for a spot.Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely come back for another meal!

Had lunch here with a friend and the service was so fast! My friend said that there is normally a wait on weekends so it was nice that we didn't have that today. It's not a huge place but there are two rooms of tables. Not great for large parties but perfect for parties of 1-4.There are so many delicious things on the menu but the noodle soup was perfect for the rainy day. I ordered dry style of Mo's Special. The regular and large is only $1 price difference, but regular was the perfect amount for me. I wasn't too full but not left hungry either. Since it was dry style, they give you a complimentary pork bone soup on the side. You even get to select your choice of noodles! I went with the thick rice noodle but curious about the egg noodles - hopefully I'll get to come back again when I'm in town and try those!

I've always been a fan of Phnom Penh Noodle shack but the customer service I got today was terrible. I was dining inside but also places two orders for to go. The person taking the order even asked me clarifications about the dishes so of course I assumed she wrote them down. At the end of our meal, I asked them about my go to orders. Surprisingly, they never put in my to go orders. They eventually added the items but I had to wait another 20 minutes for the orders.. they said they had a lot of to go orders. But y'all messed up on my orders so shouldn't you expedite it? This made my friend late for work. They never apologized for this mistake either. I still tipped well but now I'm regretting it. Please do better.

There's a reason why people flock to this place. The food is good. It's not a big property so when it's busy, be prepared to wait in line. The menu is simple, noodles, porridge and a few noodle dishes. But what they offer, it's all amazing. The rice porridge with the breadsticks, perfect Asian comfort food. Also the noodles, depending on what you get can be served dried or wet. Everything was excellent and worth trying if you haven't been already. Parking can be tricky as it's in a residential area and it's all street parking.

Was craving Cambodian food & came across the spot on yelp. I added my name on the yelp waitlist and it significantly helped expedite the wait time. Parking:Parking can be tricky but don't give up! There was lots of street parking a couple streets over.Quality of Food:My friends & I ordered the Mo's Special with soup on the side. Omg from the first bite to the last it was so delicious. My toddler niece loved all the noodles & wanted more. My auntie ordered the beef stew and she loved it as well. The staff were super nice & friendly too. Looking forward to coming back again (: Definitely didn't disappoint!

This restaurant is a hidden gem, at least for me lol. I had no idea of its existence until my friend took me here. The food is so good! I ordered the house special dry noodles and I recommend you to order the dry noodles as they give you an extra bowl of soup accompanied by the noodles which was really good! I really love this restaurant but the fact that it was super super hard to find a parking spot made me not want to come back here. I wish they could rent a bigger place with more spots because the food was really amazing. And the staff are all very nice and friendlyDefinitely recommend!

Phnom Penh Noodle Shack is a must visit! Their Phnom Penh House Special is our go-to order every time--paired with a side of breadsticks, intestines, and a refreshing Thai tea. The broth is clean, flavorful, and packed with tender, generous portions of meat. We always opt for the wide, big noodles in the soup, and it's absolutely bomb! Honestly, you don't even need to add any condiments--it's perfect as is.This hidden mom-and-pop shop is a local favorite, and for good reason. Be prepared for a line, especially on weekends, but the wait is so worth it. Pro tip: you can check in on Yelp to save some time. They do close early (3 PM), so plan ahead for lunch!Street parking can be a bit tricky, but the fast service and incredible food make it all worthwhile. This is hands down my favorite spot for wide noodle soup. Highly recommend!

Stuck near Long Beach Airport with time to kill? Skip the sad terminal snacks and hit up Phnom Penh Noodle Shack instead. It'll turn your travel nightmare into a foodie dream. Trust me--our flight delay was almost worth it for this place. We tried the beef noodle soup, which is like Vietnamese pho's cool cousin who's traveled the world and picked up extra depth along the way. The broth? Chef's kiss. The meatballs? Perfectly comparable to pho but with a fun twist, especially paired with egg noodles. And let's talk about their fry bread--whatever magic this is, I want it in my life forever. The restaurant smells like you walked into noodle heaven, and the service was everything you'd hope for: attentive, kind, and quick to keep our travel woes at bay.So, if you're ever in the area or looking for a reason to forgive a flight delay, Phnom Penh Noodle Shack is the move. Bonus: it's the kind of unique meal you'll brag about when you get home.

Wow. An absolute gem nestled in Long Beach with authentic, unpretentious Cambodian food. I wish there were more places like this. It's something you'd find abroad in the home country of this cuisine. Kuay teow has some variations on a common theme - pork based broth with ground pork, shrimp and either rice or egg noodles. The noodles come in two main versions: with broth, or dry with broth on the side. The broth on the side comes with a huge pork leg bones with the delectable marrow inside that I've only had with mom's cooking. And here they serve it up for you as a side, nourishing your soul. Forget chicken, it's pork soup for the soul. This place wins my heart and it shows by the enthusiastic support and wait on the weekends with a steady stream of hungry customers. Will be my go-to spot when I'm in town!

The weather has been colder these days, so I wanted something with soup and this definitely rely hit the spot.I got the Mo's Special with small rice noodles and a side of chao quai to dip into the broth. I dressed the bowl with some lime juice, steamed bean sprouts, and the red spicy sauce on the side. The broth was flavorful and salty enough for me, which I loved. Definitely recommend!Note - there's only street parking for this place.
