My best friend lives in Long Beach and any time I visit her we usually go out for afternoon tea, so I've been slowly trying all the places in the area. We hadn't done a ton of advanced planning, so I was looking for a place that had same day availability for a party of three and after calling around Pamela's was able to fit us in. I was a little nervous after reading some of the reviews however we had a lovely experience overall. There might not be as many "frills" as other tea parlors but the food was good, there were several teas to choose from and the staff was friendly and attentive. I also loved that they had a little store section at the back of the shop with all british goods. The location was nice as it was in a shopping village however the parking in the lot was quite limited on a Sunday afternoon so I would alot some extra time for parking during peak hours.

Our first tea at Pamela's. My friend and I have enjoyed tea at many, many tea houses all around Orange County for the holidays. Just found out Old World Village had Pamela's so of course we needed to try it out. My friend made reservations for a Saturday at Noon. We arrived and they were ready for us. There were other large and small parties already seated. The ambiance isn't anything fancy, just a real English tea house. However the service and personalities of Pamela, the owner and other servers were awesome!! Pamela and the server from Ireland were delightful!! We bought the high noon tea for $36 which included our choice of tea, small side salad or soup de jour which was either tomato bisque or oxtail soup on the day we visited. Both were delicious bc I didn't think I'd like the oxtail, but my girlfriend decided to try it and I got a little taste and OMGosh, super tasty. Apparently Pamela's husband makes it from scratch. Also you get to choose two different types of sandwiches (which equal about 1 full small sandwich). I chose the chicken cashew and ham & cheese which both were tasty but I would have preferred something other than ham & cheese. It was just okay. My girlfriend is gluten intolerant and she was thrilled they had gluten free bread and scones. She very much enjoyed the cashew chicken and egg salad but called egg mayonnaise. Her sandwich was served open face and equalled 1/2 of sandwich. Lastly it came with two scones apiece, clotted cream and jam. The cream was a butter consistency. I would have to say, I wasn't a huge fan of it but add the name to it and it was much better. The servers were great at checking back with us even though they were extremely busy running. Always loved chatting with Pamela and the Ireland server (I'm sorry we didn't get her name). Again super kind and friendly!! The tea house has a small market to buy various foods from England plus gift items and loose tea and tea bags for purchase. Parking at Old World Village wasn't a problem but then again we went early. They also have dining outside on their back patio or in front of the tea house. It was busy and constant with people coming and going. Definitely a lovely experience and I would love to enjoy it again. ps. only 1 bathroom

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Pleasant place for a relaxing spot of tea. I have a friend who loves high tea, and she suggested this place for lunch. I hadn't been to Old World in ages and had no idea where this place was, and ended up walking around the whole place before finally spotting it. We both decided on the high cream tea ($36 as of this writing), which came with the following;Soup du jour: Potato leek soup with a tiny piece of bread--piping hot and good2 tea sandwiches: salmon salad and egg salad with cucumber (yummy), served with potato chips (crisps) and salad (the lackluster bagged variety). The salad dressing is this super-thick creamy honey mustard thing called Salad Cream, which was all right. Two Scones that were dense but flaky, served with clotted cream and jam. The interior was cozy and pleasant, and quite busy on the day we went. The service was a bit harried but fine overall, especially after the lunch rush. We had a nice time relaxing and lingering with our tea. Afterwards we perused their little market section with all manner of British goodies. If you're in the mood for a British high tea, this is a pretty good spot.

Located in Old World Village, this British tea room made a fun afternoon w friends for a birthday party. They have soups, salads, crumpets, scones, sandwiches, and lots of teas to choose from. I liked the lemon posset (special) dessert , Pamela's tea and Peach Apricot tea (this one was the group's favorite). My friends also enjoyed their scones, sandwiches (salmon, Coronation chicken, cucumber, curry). They do wish that everyone who attends orders some sort of meal be it small or big. If coming on a weekend, definitely make a reservation especially if with a [email protected]#grace.loves.adventures

This was a quaint, precious find tucked into Old World. I appreciated that this afternoon tea leaned towards and more authentically British and less Americanized and modern. It's two types of sandwiches and scones with a salad and crisps. I highly recommend adding crumpets for everyone in your party to try because they are delicious and you can't find tasty ones like these anywhere else nearby. And the lemon curd. The service is friendly and cozy and provides a fun atmosphere. The ladies are very helpful with what to choose on the menu. They periodically check the tea pots to ensure they never go empty. I loved the store in the back. It included plenty of British favorites for sweets, crumpets, snacks, etc. I bought crumpets and lemon curd and can't wait to try it at home!

I'm a huge fan of high tea and was trying this tea room with a large friends and I felt pretty disappointed with afternoon tea service here. First of all, the server wasn't as friendly and was very short with responses when we had questions and they seemed to be rushing us to make decisions as quickly as possible. The owner on the other hand was very kind and even stopped to chat with us so perhaps it was just that staff member that was a little bit short with us.When it came to the tea, some of the tea was very bitter and had an unpleasant aftertaste unfortunately, perhaps we just received a bad batch. For the actual meal I also wasn't a fan of the salmon sandwich it just wasn't on par with other tea places I've been to. I also wasn't a fan of crisps in my afternoon set, that's my first time seeing that in an afternoon tea set but I just wasn't for me. I also didn't like the salad dressing as it was just too sweet and some of the girls said it tasted like thousand island dressing. At one point they forgot to bring scones for some people at our table and even ran out of scones but they did bring us extra free desserts which was very nice of them. Overall, the tea room itself was very cute but I don't think the tea and food quality is as good as other tea rooms I have visited.

I had an insatiable craving for tea and scones with all the works. When I discovered this spot wasn't too far from me, I had to try it. The food was everything I wanted it to be and more. I tried their signature blend tea and my friend and I consumed the whole pot. The sandwiches, salad, crisps, and scones were all equally delicious. I enjoyed that the atmosphere felt pretty casual. All the employees I spoke to were helpful and efficient. Can't wait to come back again.

Jan 28, 2025 a few friends of mine and myself enjoyed my bday celebration with Pamela and staff. Scones to die for. Delicious tea and coffee served hot and with a smile. The charming shop feels like you tucked yourself away into a London tea room. Sweet and savory filled the air from the kitchen and nothing disappointed. Fantastic time! Prices fair! Thanks see you soon.
