Oyishi Sushi

The setting is very beautiful and the food was beautiful and delicious, Chef Jeff is a great cook and all the ingredients were very fresh, I will definitely be back!

This place just opened and the food is amazing. We ordered the Sashimi Platter B, rainbow roll, A5 wagyu sushi, Cho-toro sashimi (2pc), and the hamachi jalapeño (10pc). We received an order of edamame on the house. The chef upgraded our Cho-toro sashimi to O-toro for free which was also a nice surprise. All of the sashimi was very fresh and the wagyu was extremely flavorful! The hamachi jalapeño had an excellent kick and the sauce that it was in was excellent. I don't normally comment on soy sauce but this tasted like higher quality soy sauce than what you would normally get at a sushi place. It wasn't too busy when we went since they just opened and probably not too many people know of this place. There's plenty of tables and space so it doesn't feel like you are cramming next to each other.The chef spoke with us and told us that the specials are different on a daily basis so if you come you may or may not see the A5 wagyu sushi.If you are acquainted with sushi you'll recognize familiar rolls. The menu doesn't have descriptions for each thing but if you ask the waitress or chef they were pretty responsive. They are waiting for their liquor license so unfortunately we didn't have any sake with our food. Hopefully they receive this soon.For the quality of food that we received, I was expecting a much higher bill, but I felt it was reasonable and well priced. Definitely a hidden gem worth trying.

學會取悅自己，最舒服的生活從來不在別人的嘴裡，而是自己的隨心所至中，善待自己，才能愛想愛的人，做想做的事，過好自己的日子~Chino hills 最近開好多新店歐，再來 寫一家日本料理， 就在71 旁邊老人公寓那個plaza, 走進去才知道老闆是重慶人， 說中文的，這是他第二家店了， 跟朋友點了個 omakase set , 12 貫， 干貝，甜蝦， toro, uni 都有，什麼魚都吃到了，set 是新鮮， 價格也很好，但我覺得醋飯沒有很好吃， 所以，我只吃魚片，飯都沒有吃，後來又再加了Uni 跟盤魚片，其實omakase set 就已經很大盤， 份量是絕對夠的了， chino hills 又多了家日本料理店了，喜歡的可以試試！

We came here for high expectations since the great "reviews". As soon as we walked in and sat down, I didn't feel that welcoming and warm ambiance from the typical sushi place. Looked at the menu and saw the rolls had no explanation whatever is in it. We asked the waitress and she didn't know either what are Scotty's and Jeff's roll. We asked her to ask the chef what kind of rolls are they and the chef answered her in hesitant and looked bothered that she asked the questions. The waitress informed us that usually the chef comes to the table to explaining what kind of rolls are they. Ok, red light, very inconvenient and not productive at all. What if they're so busy and the chef had to explain to every table what kind of rolls are they in their menu??? Anyway, my gut told me just to leave and go somewhere else. I'm glad I did trust my gut. Don't even bother to come back and give second chance.

The presentation was so pretty! We didn't know where to begin. Every bite was perfect: the temperature of the fish, the fattiness of salmon and tuna, sweetness of uni, sweet shrimp and giant scallops. A different selection from our last visit two weeks ago, all fresh and exquisite!

this was delicious. I love the atmosphere and the chef is very nice. He can speak Chinese and the service was great. Food came fast and sever is very polite. I noticed that the restaurant was empty even though it was dinner time, it really surprised me as the food is good I really liked it I'll come back.

It is a new restaurant in Chino,worth to try, not too many good restaurants in that area, the owner is super nice and knowledgeable,the sashimi we ordered was so delicious and fresh , uni wagyu sushi that is my favorite sushi! Will go again.

Beyond the freshness, high quality and presentation, the food was absolutely amazing. Each bite melted in my mouth & had a well-balanced combination. I can tell the chef truly cares about his creations. Everyone was very attentive. I highly recommend you check it out. I will definitely be coming back!

My new fave Japanese restaurant in town. Jeff and the wife are extremely friendly. The food is excellent. Do try Jeff's suggestions, he won't steer you wrong. The waygu beef and uni sushi is to die for since it's so fresh and delicious. Must try restaurant
