Came here when I was young and I came here once again only to realize how good this place is! We got the Seng bulgogi together which was pretty pricey, but we enjoyed ourselves so much. Probably one of my most favorite meals of all time. 10/10 easily. As a disclaimer, this place sometimes has a bit of a more old-school Korean restaurant vibe and feel, with servers who are more catered to an old-school Korean crowd. Which personally I actually really like, purely because of the nostalgia and homey environment. But it might require some of the more non-Koreans and westerners to just be more understanding.Great for parties of 2 or more, or even larger groups!Highly recommended. Might even come here to enjoy the last meal of my life ahahaha.Plenty of parking!

I discovered something new in something old.Growing up with Korean food and having lived in Korea, Hong Kong, Boston, New York, and LA, I thought I knew it all. But then my cousins brought me to Ong Ga Nae BBQ, and my mind was blown. This place has apparently been around for many years, yet I only stumbled upon it a few days ago. I'd never heard of Ong Ga Nae, nor had I ever tried this traditional style of "seng bulgogi".The restaurant itself is casual and no-frills, reminiscent of eateries I've found in Korea. But when they brought out a towering mound of seng bulgogi--thinly sliced beef mixed with vegetables, enoki mushrooms, and green onions--I knew this wouldn't be a typical meal. Unlike other bulgogi spots where you get a plate of marinated meat and some onion slices, this dish arrived as a mountain of ingredients ready to be cooked at the table. Even my daughter, who's not a veggie fan, marveled at this creation! The friendly service and family atmosphere make it well worth the drive from Marina del Rey, and I'll definitely be back for this dish alone. If you haven't been, I highly recommend making the trip to Ong Ga Nae BBQ!

Great value and service. I went with a large group and they were really good about bringing items and preparing and cutting meat.

This place is well known amongst our parents generation but because of social media, more foreigners are dining here and ordering the bulgogi casserole. I am not a fan of that dish so I come here for the bbq and cold noodles. They have good Eundaegu fish jorim and other Korean comfort foods. If you are looking authentic Korean restaurant, this is the place to be!

One of the best KBBQ spots I've been too. I came here after getting a haircut next door and the hair stylist said you should try the spot next door. I was leaning towards something else since it wasn't in koreatown.I walked in there with no expectations. The whole place was packed and busy with Koreans. You know it's good when the waiters and the clientele are just people of their catering too. I got their seng bulgogi which is bulgogi soup where they pour it over the meat to get it tender.Very interesting concept and was glad at how everything turned out.10/10

The first time I came here the service was almost non-existent and today was entirely the opposite. It was almost too fast that I felt I was being rushed to eat. It is the better of the two ends though so I won't complain. We ordered the infamous seng bulgogi and and dolsot (hot stone) bibimbap to share between two people and it was plenty enough. I've never had bulgogi served this way so it was a fun overall experience seeing it unfold. The waitress brought over the mountain of meat, placed it on the grill, and poured cold broth all over it. Once the meat was all cooked, she kindly taught us how to eat it: as a soup or ssam (wrap). She placed the rice paper (or daikon radish which I like better), meat with mushrooms and veggies, cilantro, and red sauce to create the perfect bite. It was a great meal because you could eat it in whichever way sounded better and the broth was always piping hot. She also mixed the bibimbap for us but I wish it stayed in the hot stone pot for longer so the rice could be more crispy and scorched. There were hardly any hot pieces and there wasn't enough sauce. It was missing some texture and spice but otherwise a good filling dish to have on the side.We got full before we could finish and we received a cup of cinnamon ginger tea which was surprisingly really sweet. It was almost like a dessert but a nice palette cleanser nonetheless. We went on a Friday night and we were seated right away but I know it can get busy on weekends from past experience.

I never heard of this place before but I saw it on instagram and wanted to try it out. The seng bulogi is different from your typical Korean bbq with the grill. It's kinda like a bulogi hotpot with a bulogi broth. Surprisingly the broth isn't too sweet. The seng bulogi consists of beef, mushroom, spinach and noodles, everything that I love in one grill. The waiters and waitresses helped cook the food for you which is nice. Once the food is all cooked, you can start eating. How I eat is by wrapping the beef, spinach and mushroom in a radish paper. All the banchans that were served were all surprisingly delicious and I kept asking for refills on the fish cakes.Plenty of parking in the place so parking won't be an issue. For the seng bulogi, make sure you come here with a friend and an empty stomach because you need to at least order a min of 2 orders. My friend and I finished the whole plate with nothing left behind. Service is great and friendly.I would definitely be coming back.

It was cold and rainy and needed something warm and hearty.. We stopped by here for Korean Bbq of a different kind. This one is cooked on an iron dome with broth (tastes like diluted Korean BBQ marinade). The broth is pored over the meat/veggies as it cooks and the noodles are added at the end your meal. It has been one of our favorites but our last visit was prior to Covid. It's good to know it still here. The minimum order is two orders for this dish and it probably can feed a party of four. We also ordered a cold noodle on the side but unfortunately forgot to take a pic. Too busy stuffing out faces..lol.Forgot to mention. The best part of this meal was our wonderful waitress was doing all the cooking for us so all we had to do was just enjoy our food.

This has been my favorite Korean restaurant ever since my Korean friend introduced me to it. All the banchan are made in house and are awesome. Their signature dish, Seng Bulgogi, is always sooo good!! It's perfect for sharing with friends or family. This time, I tried their grilled Atka mackerel for the first time, and it was so fluffy and delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant
