Omori Katsu & Ramen

This food court katsu place easily beats out most sit down katsu restaurants in OC. The pork is thick yet tender, breading is perfectly crispy, the rice is SO well made (not too soggy or clumpy) and the curry is nice too, a standard Japanese curry with deep, slightly sweet and slightly spicy flavors. AMAZING value for what you get. Tbh so many katsu places thin out their pork so much it's like more than 50% breading. This katsu is high quality and well seasoned. Quick service and lots of tables and conveniently in HMART. I'd come back. I do wish they had better kimchi and pickles! But overall really surprised by the flavors.

This was my 11-year-old's first time ordering his own ramen at a "restaurant." He was really excited (and hungry), so he ate most of it. But, when I tried a bite at the end, the noodle was really not cooked well enough. Forget about a nice chew, these were too hard and needed more cooking time. What the heck. He said the meat was cold initially, so I told him to mix it in the broth. The presentation was nice, but wow, I think they get the noodles in packages from Hmart, the really yellow noodles that have preservatives in it. My daughter got the udon, and that was $12.95. The service from the young guy could have been way better.Ambiance is just the food court area, and we usually go during non peak hours. We will not be returning.

I ordered the king donkatsu and the curry pork katsu. The king donkatsu came with a thinner pork cutlet and ketchup-like sweet and sour sauce, but I preferred the traditional thicker cut of pork and Japanese curry sauce. I also liked the sides that came with it, like the kimchi and the shredded cabbage with sesame dressing.The location is in an HMart food court, with plenty of seating and other food options. Service was quick and the katsu came out fresh and crispy.

Omori Katsu & Ramen is located inside the H Marts food court area. Simply to say, even though this is food court food, it has better Katsu than most places I have had in restaurants. I had ordered the Omori Katsu which takes about 10-15 mins to prepare and serve. It was crispy, full of flavor and the tonkatsu, along with the pickles and cabbage all went perfectly well in harmony. They also have Katsu curry and ramen here as well. Though i have not tried them, all I know is that the Katsu was delicious and I will definitely be back for more. There's a good amount of seating area here at the food court so you can enjoy it fresh instead of taking it home for it to get soggy and lose its freshness.

Inside the HMart food court. Had the pork Katsu curry meal and it was delicious. Comes with a salad and pickled radish. The cashier was very friendly and there are many places to sit in the super clean food court. Enjoy!

I ordered take out not too long ago from here, and I was pleasantly surprised that the chicken cutlet tasted fishy and fowl. It was a pretty big shock that it tasted so bad this time around. Not sure if I will be coming back for a while.

Okey taste tonkatsu plate, portion is a bit small for the price and in food court area. Convenience location inside supermarket.

This is my second time at Omori trying their donkotsu ramen! The broth feels so much richer and more flavorful than before. The meat was tender and delicious too! I am glad I gave it another try.

Stumbled upon this place while I was in the area and man was I pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is located in a food court, and being a lover of katsu, i decided to give this place a try.I ordered their japanese style katsu. The breaded and fried cutlet was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The portion was also very generous and had me feeling full at the end of the meal. If i'm in the area again and craving for katsu, i'll definitely be back!!
