It was my boyfriend and I's first time and we got to spend our valentine's dinner here. The ambiance was great, but of course very packed this night. Dimly lit to set the mood and give a very intimate vibe. I had to adjust my eyes and hold the menu up to the faint light that was shining somewhere above just to be able to see especially because i have poor eyesight lol.Our server(s) were wonderful and extremely professional yet very welcoming. I ordered the marinated skirt steak ($49). It was topped with a whole lot of caramelized onions and there was a bulb of garlic on the side that you could definitely squeeze out and mash it onto your steak if you're a garlic lover. Every slice of my steak was perfectly cooked to a medium. It was SO tender and just beyond delicious. I ate at a steady pace and was able to finish the whole thing. I also paired it with garlic mashed potatoes ($14) and broccolini ($14) on the side because I always need a steak with potatoes and some kind of greens. For the mashed potatoes, now I didn't mind this, but since we chose the garlic flavored one, boy oh boy was it super garlicky. So if you're not the biggest fan of garlic, maybe just get the regular potatoes. They were so creamy and flavorful in my opinion though. The regular one also seemed like it would also be delish. I was starting to get the feeling they like their garlic here esp if they're putting a whole bulb on the steak plate haha.My bf ordered the 16 oz ribeye with the cajun seasoning. He was absolutely in love with his steak and just couldn't get enough of it. The flavor and tenderness was amazing. He even dared to say it just might beat his number one restaurant for steak. We ordered the ice cream trio for dessert ($15) choosing tiramisu, toasted marshmallow and mint chocolate chip gelato as our 3 flavors. I enjoyed all the flavors, but my bf had a little comment about the tiramisu which was that it tasted like freezer burn. I said maybe that's the flavor not many people choose.Overall we had an amazing time here and would love to come back again for these steaks!

My husband and I visited Old Chouse House in Brea on Saturday, 3/1/25, and, while the food was fantastic, our overall experience was unfortunately marred by poor service and a lack of respect for customers. We started off with a delicious lobster appetizer, followed by an equally impressive steak and chop salad. The food was top-notch, and we were looking forward to a pleasant evening. However, things took a turn when the seating situation at the bar became uncomfortable. After sitting in the back of the bar at the only available seats, two gentlemen asked if we would be willing to move so their party could sit together at the front. We happily agreed, and as a thank-you, they sent us drinks. That was a nice gesture that set the tone for a positive experience -- but things went downhill quickly after that.A couple of regulars sat beside us, and we could tell they were treated as VIPs. The bartenders and even the manager, Oscar, bent over backward to accommodate them. We thought it was a bit odd, but things took a turn when Oscar asked us to move again mid-meal to accommodate the VIP couple and their guests.I felt utterly blindsided and uncomfortable when Oscar approached us while we ate our steak dinner and asked us to move over. When I asked why, he said he was trying to please his VIP customers. I found it quite upsetting that not only were we interrupted mid-meal, but the manager seemed to prioritize these regulars over the other customers -- and the worst part was that the VIP couple didn't even thank you for the accommodation.I spoke to Oscar about how this was not the kind of treatment one should expect from an establishment of this caliber. While he claimed that all customers are VIPs, it felt as though some customers were treated better than others. The ordeal felt embarrassing and uncomfortable, especially as everyone at the bar witnessed the preferential treatment. It's disappointing because the food was great, but the customer service and management need serious improvement. I hope the owner will review this incident with Oscar to ensure that future patrons are treated equally. We will think twice before returning to a place where bias is evident in customer interactions and management decisions.

Phenomenal freaking food and service. Omg. This is probably one of the best dining experiences I've had here in a long time! And I'm a very picky eater! Started with some cool cocktails, a Lemon Drop and Mai Thai. Both were made to perfection and delicious. We then got some appetizers. The Crab Cake and Salmon Poke were both on point. Loved the Remoulade and Tartar sauce that came with the crab cake. Highly recommend this app! We then split a Beat Salad which was super delicious and also on point. Beets are good for you so we decided this would be the best salad to get. Then got the Ribeye and Bone In Filet. Very tender, juicy, moist, and cooked just right. Both steaks came out hot and tender. We got a loaded baked potato and broccolini as side dishes. Also very hot and delicious. Happy with our choices. Finally ended the night with the Butter cake. Dayum. This thing set my diet back a week lol. But it was worth it. Service was also amazing! We had 3 people taking care of us. Never had to ask for anything. Bo, Andre and Tiffany were very attentive and prompt with their service. Highly recommend Chop House! You won't be disappointed!

Visited here last minute without a reservation and they were able to seat us within 2 minutes! It's at downtown brea but plenty of free parking available in the back. We walked about a block to the restaurant, not too inconvenient!I ordered the bone-in ribeye and the tuna tartare, paired with a side of cream corn. They were all delicious! I would say it's huge portions, I left with a food baby. The cocktails were also yummy and strong. I could tell they pride themselves with service and food, making sure everything is going well. Come here for a nice steak meal! They have seafood as well.

A very elegant restaurant with a staff that is just as elegant. The food was really yummy. I ordered the 6 oz fillet, medium and it was very tasty and tender. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars and not 5 is because I ordered medium and very much received medium rare. It would've been ok if the plate was hot... I could've cooked it on the hot plate but it wasn't so I ate it too rare for me. Still good! Will definitely be returning with our adult children.

4.5Got the ribeye cap for 2 that came with 2 sides and a butter cake.Found this to be a good deal! I will say the steak was a tad bit salty as some other reviewers mentioned so we would return but request less salt. 4.5 because of this and the Brussels sprouts while tasty were a bit more burnt than charred.Service was fantastic as many others state. Waters were refilled often and we had 2 attentive servers.Glad we came here spontaneously for a nice, more pricey, date night.

Another great dinner experience at chop house. We had a party of 6 and food and service were top notch. We did family style and shared a rib eye cap, tomahawk, the large lobster tail special, dover, and several appetizers. Everything tasted great and all the staff were very attentive. They are for sure the best steakhouse in North OC, and arguably the best (in terms of food and service) in OC.

We enjoy coming here for their Prix Fix lunch specials which includes two orders of each salad, sandwich and fries for $40. Great satisfying meal every time with a nice glass of wine. our go to sandwiches are the pastrami, chimichurri steak, and prime rib dip. I'm not a huge fan of the fries which are on the thinner and crispier side however my friend likes them.
