Great place! If you were ever in the the service, this place is evocative of some of the meals you were served, but better. Everything on the menu is delicious. This is also my go-to for cafe de olla. Moreover, I love the personal military photos on the wall, too. No Toro is owned and operated by a Veteran. Please come out and support!

The breakfast is very clean and yummy I've been here a handful of times and it's pretty consistent. My only complaints are that the customer service is ok not great but ok. The times I've came in to grab some breakfast I've encountered two different servers and aren't genuinely nice. It's almost a dry sarcastic fake nice .Also it's been more than once I'm over charged so always double check your receipt. And there has been times I've called to order for pick up and they are terrible at answering the phone . Even when not busy ! I know because call I've called 5 minutes away and walk in theirs like one customer eating in .Anyway I love the food so I keepComing back

I chose this cafe due to the good reviews and wanting to support locally owned businesses. Sadly, it was a bad experience all around. I wasn't greeted when I entered. I came in around noon and the looks I got from the employees made me feel unwelcomed. As if they were tired of working all morning and annoyed they still had customers to serve.I ordered potato chilaquiles and my friend ordered a breakfast sandwich that came with potatoes. All the potatoes were undercooked and slightly firm. We weren't able to eat them unfortunately. The cafe de olla was tiny and lukewarm. I paid using the portable ATM box and requested a receipt. The machine said someone would bring it to me but no one came and I felt completely ignored. No greeting, bad service and mediocre food, topped off with no acknowledgment of my patronage at the end was such a horrible experience. Not recommended.

We came here for the first time on a Saturday morning and was surprised there was no line; we got seated right away in the bake. Veteran-owned place with a lot of military decor and overall theme. He got the chilaquiles and I got the breakfast sandwich. Both were good, but nothing that knocked our socks off. Would definitely come back to try something else on the menu-- especially if there's no line!

Hey guys, I love supporting this small breakfast joint aside for great delicious breakfast and fast friendly service staffs .This is owned and operated by a Veterans. The place is decorated with military memorabilia, simple but each time I order I'm reminded by the lives of the Veterans who served for our country. So when you're in Artesia please support this place. Thank y'all.

We hadn't been here in a while but this place continues to be great. We arrived and we were promptly seated, we order the cafe de olla and the coffee had a great flavor. My mom asked for a hotter cup and they happy to bring her another cup. Both of our dishes were delicious the chilaquiles salsa was tasty and the chips were crunchy. I have to highlight their meat as it was very soft and it actually came medium rare as ordered. They came and refilled our coffee and checked in on us multiple times. A plus was that they were playing the Sunday football games on their tv.

This local eatery has a nice aesthetic and it's cool that service personnel own it - I support our military personnel to the fullest. I love the Cafe de Olla here, but the breakfast burritos leave a lot to be desired. There is entirely too much egg and not enough of the other ingredients inside the burrito. I would like a better balance of ingredient ratios. I ordered and pay for a sausage and chorizo breakfast burrito and I barely got any of the other ingredients; although I paid an extra $3 bucks for the chorizo!!! Now if you're going to charge me extra for something, I believe it's only reasonable that it would be included in the product that I purchased... Idk - I'm a little disappointed in my experience today... I'm out...

Nope. That's it: Nope.Let me clarify...if you're looking for white washed Mexican food....then this place is for you. If you're looking for anything remotely authentic, this ain't it.Chilaquiles were literally bagged chips with some watery sorry excuse of a tomato sauce sprinkled on top. For about $5 bucks more they'll throw in 3- 5 small pieces of meat on top and call it Steak chilaquiles. But hey, I guess it's our fault for thinking Artesia would have anything remotely authentic Mexican. Should've stuck with an omelette or something.
