I always am pleasantly surprised whenever I go here. The space is clean and well kept in comparison to a lot of Vietnamese restaurants nearby. The service is always quick and there's usually no wait whenever I come but the restaurant is still decently busy. I usually get the bun bo hue here and the banh it ram. The bun bo hue has good lemongrass flavor and is filled with a variety of add ons like pigs blood, meat and more. The banh it ram has a good texture, big in size, but there's a little bit too much dough. Not bad though, still yummy! Def one of my go to bun bo hue spots now, but I will also be back to try other things as well!

Sad to say, but I am still looking for a good bun bo hue place. I ordered bun bo hue at Ngu Binh and it was alright. The broth wasn't spicy like how bun bo hue is supposed to be. Even their satay was lacking in flavor and spice. What I enjoyed more was their combo appetizer plate. It consisted of banh beo, banh bot loc and banh cuon tom. I would've been happy with just the combo appetizer plate. Service was good and our server liked joking around with us. The place is clean, but I found the chairs a bit odd to sit in to eat. I felt like they bought their chairs on sale at an outdoor furniture store. It just didn't really match the space in my opinion. Which I guess gave the place more character.

Overall:Ngu Binh specializes in dishes from central Vietnam, which is known for its spicy foods. Oddly enough, this restaurant's offerings weren't that spicy. This makes it a good place to try out if you're new to central Vietnamese food, but slightly disappointing if you're not. What We Ordered:I ordered the Bun Bo Hue (beef noodles from Hue) and my wife ordered the #9 Combination Plate, which consists of three different kinds of rice-and-shrimp appetizers (banh uot, banh bot loc, and banh beo). What We Thought:The Bun Bo Hue had all the traditional ingredients and looked authentic. Everything tasted good...but just lacked the heat we expected from Hue noodles. Even when we added their chilli paste, it didn't get much hotter. Meanwhile, the dishes in the combo plate were solid, but the banh bot loc wasn't as chewy as we're used too and the banh uot wasnt as firm as we wanted. Fortunately, the shrimp was plentiful. What We Liked:The establishment was clean and nicely furnished. Plus, the service was polite and friendly -- a pleasant surprise for a Vietnamese restaurant (which are known for inferior service). The Conclusion:If you're a hardcore lover of Hue food, you might be disappointed. But if you're new to central Vietnamese food (or Vietnamese food in general), Ngu Binh could be a decent introduction.

I went to the other location before but I love how this location has outdoor seating. I usually order the bun bo hue with no spice. The broth was flavorful and portion was filling for a small size. Overall, the food and service is good. Dog friendly as well for outdoor seating!

I love this place. I usually order a large Bun Bo Hue, not spice, and with NO noodles every single time and the waiters always give me a weird look and then a big smile followed by the equivalent of .. Really?? Yes, really! The serving size is generous. The broth and all the different meats, pig blood, pig knuckles, and handmade hue sausage are very good here. Perfectly cook with just enough chew to be satisfying. I've had the other items on the menu too like the chicken rice and the various rice cakes and all were satisfactory. The avocado smoothie is delicious if you are in the mood. Parking is plentiful in this huge plaza and sometimes you have to just walk a bit, but that is ok.

Ngu Binh used to be my absolute favorite for years for bbh. I like this location a lot. It's their newer, second location. I stopped going to NB because the msg was too much and I could hardly function after a bowl. But now, I'm happy to say, the broth for bbh is definitely cleaner and still delicious as ever. Not for the faint of heart their spicy bbh when ordered without the pork blood and feet, comes with a ton of delicious, tender meat. The order also comes with a generous helping of veggies including my favorite, the banana leaves! Yum! The two item combo pictured here are my favorites since I have braces, the banh beo and nam are easy to eat, it comes with a side of fish sauce with jalepenos. Open concept restaurant with a clean interior and high ceilings, also outdoor seating available if you have pups or wanna enjoy the beautiful sunshine here in SoCal. I just love this place!

Ngu Binh is my go to place for Bun Bo Hue. They also have a great selection of dishes from Central Vietnam so honestly anything you order from their restaurant will be a home run. I like this location the most because there's more parking options. Even though it can get super hectic during lunch times I'm usually able to find parking. During their busiest times when all the tables are full the max I've waited is 10 minutes.I LOVE the Bun bo hue here. They have a regular and large size as well as a spicy and non-spicy option. I usually get the large, spicy version but beware because depending on how they feel that day it could either be really spicy or the perfect amount. They also pack the bowl with noodles and meat so I always have to get a togo. The broth always hits the spot where you can taste all the spices and the lemon grass, it really warms the tummy. The noodles are always the perfect texture of still got some bounce without being mushy. The meat is delicious/tender and their cha hue is definitely homemade. I also love how they give SO MANY banana flowers and bean sprouts because I pack that into my bowl. Overall you cannot go wrong with Ngu Binh at all if you want a homey meal that hits the spot everytime!!

Visited Ngu Binh Restaurant for the first time a few days ago. It's located in a plaza with many other eateries. The parking is a bit tight but there are plenty of parking spaces. We ordered the Bun Bo Hue and Bun Rieu. The broth for both dishes is very flavorful and perfectly seasoned and they had a generous amount of meat. Love the variety of veggies they provide to add to the dishes. Will definitely be coming back.

Solid Bun Rieu 4/5Definitely this place is better than other location on magnolia as they off bun rieu here!Very accommodating as being supplied with jarred water.Be wary of sticky floors. Was very full at end of meal as plenty protein provided and noodles cooked perfectly.Dipping sauce of mam Tom appears rendered.

So this place was not bad, and actually pretty good for some of their items. But in my opinion, I wouldn't make a trip out just for this place just because nothing really stood out to me to make the trip worth it. Also to be honest, a usual fav of mine to get (#15) was way too thick and chewy for me here. I was hoping for more shrimp like I've had at other spots, but here it was not as much flavor. The inside is nice though and definitely more welcoming for new customers. So if we're in the area, I probably wouldn't mind coming back, I would just probably try something different.
