Newport Seafood Restaurant

Wanted to check out a new restaurant in Rowland heights and found this place. Service wasn't great, the older guy serving us was already inpatient about ordering even though it was our first time there. We got: lobster, steamed fish, clams, fish maw soup, yang chow fried rice, and fried tofu. Tofu- I loveddd the tofu, such a nice and light batter with the softness of the tofu. Clams- were so big and flavorful w the basil sauce. If I were to come back, it'd be for those two dishes.Yang chow fried rice- we had to send it back because there was so much black pepper it was all over the rice and it was the only thing you could taste.Fish maw soup: super blandHeard the San Gabriel location is much better..

They had a great lunch special when I came. The food is amazing and service is great. We love ordering the lobster, fried tofu, Kung pao chicken, and shaking beef. Great place for large parties

Great value without needed to go all the way to the SGV. It's also easier to get a table here than their other locations. Food is always tasty and comes out fast.

If you are looking for a good Chinese food: Dimsum this is the place to go! Lots of choices & decision to make when the cart comes to you- you can try them all and they're all delicious!!!Location: off Fwy 60 exit Fullerton inside Diamond Plaza. Check it out- you'll love it

First time here and we loved everything we ordered! The service was excellent as well. The staff was very attentive, constantly checking to see if we needed anything else. The older gentleman was especially sweet, bringing us new plates and asking if we'd like to switch our old ones. Our favorite dish was the walnut shrimp. The pork chop was good, but a little on the dry side. The restaurant is clean and has nice decor. We will definitely be back!

First time eating here and enjoyed the whole spread. Highly recommend the beef french style, so tender and good. The peasprouts were so good too. We finished off the fried noodle as well. And ofc the crab, really worth the market price. Will come back.

Came here for a team huddle on a Friday night and it wasn't too busy. Newport is known for their lobster and that never disappoints. We got an 8 pounder this time for our group and everyone loved it. Clams were another big hit. Even the person who didn't like clams liked Newport clams. Seafood here is just so fresh and you can definitely taste the quality. You really get what you pay for here. We got a few other veggies, fried tofu (also another hit!), filet mignon, and walnut shrimp (another staple). My team really enjoyed this place and everyone gave positive feedback - yay! Service is great as always and you can't go wrong with the homey vibes and comfort Chinese food. 10/10 recommend! Also has a big parking lot with ample parking - another plus!

I arrived with my family as a party of five, and we had plenty of delicious food. My favorites were the chow mein, Mongolian beef, and fillet fish with basil. The flavors leaned toward the lighter side, but they still tasted pleasantly savory. I admire the service here because the staff members always seem prepared to help as they wait on standby. Rather than checking in on you, they're ready to quickly help. When we went, the atmosphere was quiet since it was just us and another person party in the whole restaurant.

I love this place. Newport Seafood is the best place to find fresh Lobster, Crab and an array of yummy Chinese dishes. I am particularly fond of their fish with special house sauce. It has a slight kick to it and very tangy. My husband's favorites dishes are the fish with basil and the beef luc. Always prepared to perfection. If you didn't know Newport is a family owned business and it shows. They have amazing food and top notch service. I'm in love and you will be too.

Been a while since I've eaten here. Ended up here on a Saturday for lunch to celebrate my mom's birthday. Surprisingly it wasn't busy and we were seated right away with a party of 10. That was nice! Food: overall, everything was good. 1. Clams in Basil sauce: good flavor and prepared well. The plate looked pretty large but there were about 4 or so that were just shells or not open2. Shrimp with Walnut: solid dish, decent quantity3. Shrimp with snow peas, bamboo shoots, and other veggies: good flavor and quantity4. Fried whole fish: nice choice of dish to share. Comes with a garlic fish sauce for dipping. 5. Fried noodles with seafood: great crunch on the noodles, and when mixed together with the sauce it has great texture and flavor 6. Chinese Broccoli with oyster sauce: huge stalks which could have been cut down smaller Overall: good food, prompt service, and food came out quickly. Price for weekend lunch is same as dinner, so that was a little disappointing. Dishes were about $18-25 each. Our new came to about $230 with tax and tip.
