Myung Dong Tofu House serves great comfort food at a reasonable price. The restaurant has a simple, rustic vibe, and that is reflected in the assortment of banchan that came with my order. The banchan consists of a variety of simple vegetable dishes that were all refreshing to eat.The star of the show was the tofu soup, that came out still bubbling. I had to be careful with taking a picture because of the steam! The soup was delicious and comforting, filled with tofu, small pieces of beef, and dumplings. The amount of food was generous, and I left with a satisfied stomach.

My friend and I had lunch here on Tuesday, and Korean food has always been one of my favorites. Every dish we ordered was delicious, and the portions were generous--definitely enough for two people. The seafood pancake was a real standout, loaded with fresh seafood and cooked to crispy perfection. We also loved the mushroom tofu stew, which was rich and flavorful, and the sizzling beef on a hot plate, which was tender and perfectly seasoned. The service was warm and attentive, making the entire dining experience even better. I'll definitely be coming back next time!

Myung Dong Tofu House is a great spot for comforting and flavorful Korean food. We ordered the seafood pancake, two clams tofu soups, and one mushroom tofu soup. The seafood pancake was absolutely delicious--crispy on the outside, soft inside, and packed with fresh seafood. The tofu soups were steaming hot and very flavorful, with the clams and mushrooms adding a nice depth to the broth. The side dishes were also a highlight--fresh, tasty, and varied. I especially enjoyed the cucumber, which had a perfect balance of crunch and tanginess. Service was quick and friendly, and the portions were generous. Definitely recommend this place for authentic Korean cuisine!

Came here last Friday for dinner. It is a great place to come for authentic Korean meats and tofu soup bulgogi is well marinated, they also have really good authentic kimchi here! Service was a little slow on Friday since there were a lot of customers that night (makes sense since it was Friday) but many times if we wanted something I'd have to get up from table and ask the waiters directly. Interior of restaurant is pretty decent...lots of seats!

We came before the lunch rush, around 11:25 pm, so we were seated immediately. The place is clean and the decor is simple and modern. I ordered the kimchi & beef tofu soup and it was hot and delicious. The server also brought out plates of banchan and a free side of some sort of fried savory pancake with a sauce. Overall, I would recommend this place.

Finally decided to go beyond Rowland Heights to find another Soon Tofu place (besides BCD in Yes Plaza.)Thanks to Yelp, I found Myung Dong Tofu House in Diamond Bar. They have a large dining room with good size parking lot.The menu is pretty straightforward and they offer soon tofu only dishes as well as combos with soon tofu bowls. While they don't give everyone a small fried fish, they are $2 cheaper per soon tofu and have other solid side dishes. See my pics as well as the menu.

We've had Myung Dong in the West Covina location, but since we were in the area we decided to come to this location. We ordered our usual Galbi Combo ($32.99) with Beef & Kimchi Soft Tofu, and the Spicy Pork Combo ($25.99) with Pork Soft Tofu. The galbi is still my favorite thing to get, and this location didn't disappoint. It comes on a hot plate so it's still sizzling when it arrives at our table. The only thing is that I wish that the onions on the plate were also cooked a bit more so that they're a bit softer. The spicy pork was also good but I still prefer the galbi. They also give you banchan so between that with the galbi/spicy pork, and the soft tofu, this was plenty of food for 2 people, plus some left over so you could honestly make a 3rd or 4th meal out of that. Service can be a bit slow since they don't really come by to check up on you; you have to wait for someone to come around and pass by in order to get their attention. Overall it's a solid place to get some Korean soft tofu. It's a really nice comfort food and it's definitely warming on a cold day. It does get a bit pricey though but you do get a lot of food out of it.

Such a great restaurant! Went with my friend since I wanted to grab something soupy! Very small and quiet area and service was great- they even gave us free pancakes on the side! Their soup was amazing and super filling! It was also really nice seating and roomy. Would definitely come again!

I usually frequent their West Covina location (which I JUST found out about this Diamond Bar location lol). But the West Covina one has rebranded and is closed so happy to find they had another location close by!Menu is the same as the West Covina location - lots of tofu soup selections, some more traditional korean soup dishes, bibimbap, etc. Side dishes are pretty good - I do like their kimchi a lot! Very fresh.I usually get the spicy beef soup called yukgaejang. Portion size is pretty good for this. Comes piping hot in a metal bowl. There's a lot of burdock inside, beef amount is okay, and not as much noodles as I personally would want. All items come with PURPLE rice! They do not have white rice.Friends got tofu soups and 1 sweet beef soup, which tastes similar to a Japanese sukiyaki style broth. Food is good and it tastes the same as the West Covina location.Service was ...bare minimum at most when we went. We were sat in the inner room since we had a bigger party but the place wasn't filled either. Service wasn't great honestly. We always had to flag down a server for more sides and they never really checked if we needed more water. They also would left super fast when you try to talk to them - so you basically need to be assertive or you won't get what you need. When we got the check, they didn't even ask us if we need togo boxes. My friend had to walk up to ask them for it.Overall food is good, a bit pricey bit portion sizes are fair. Service is okay, could be better. There is a lot of parking generally but if you happen to go on a busy day it might be a bit tricky.

Food is always good here, I love the beef ribs nicely cooked. The soupy seafood tofu with adding an egg is nice and hot but delicious . I usually go early lunch with less crowd which makes the space nice.
