A gem in the East side tucked away in a dumpy strip mall. If you want authentic HK flavors, you should come .In addition to Chinese BBQ, sometimes the chef will have special fish and other seasonal dishes coming in. We had some special steamed fish.Don't be shy asking

I came here with my family (total of 4 people) early on a Saturday evening right before New Years and were seated promptly. The front of the store sells their delicious roasted duck separately, while the back of the restaurant is the sit down area. The owner and other workers were very accommodating and we were able to order and get our food very quickly. We ordered the yang chow fried rice, shrimp wonton noodle soup, 1/2 steamed chicken, and 1/2 roasted duck. The meat was so tender and delicious, especially the duck - the semi-sweet sauce they provided as dipping sauce especially enhanced the flavor. I'm also a fan of steamed chicken and my only complaint is to beware of the little bone bits (I'm sure every seasoned steamed chicken enjoyer would understand). The fried rice was also full of flavor, and my mom especially loved the wonton noodle soup.Overall, I'd love to come back for their duck the most - I was so enamored that I ordered another 1/2 to go at the front of the store. Just be sure to bring cash, as purchasing with card incurs an additional charge - I didn't know that but they graciously allowed me to pay the original amount with card, which was so appreciated.

I've been searching for a place like MK BBQ Cafe and here it is - the BBQ cafe of my dreams. All I really want when I'm ordering from one of these places is a combo plate. Give me some BBQ pork and some roasted duck over rice plz. Most places do a good version of one of the two. And most places are very pricey. At MK Cafe, a two item on rice is only $12.99! I chose the roasted duck and crispy roast pork. Both were very moist and tender. The pork skin was also nice and crispy. Hands down my favorite BBQ plate. On a recent visit, I tried the minced beef with egg ($16.99). Their version of this dish is very wet. It's much saucier than any other version I've ever tasted. I appreciated it, but I do think I prefer the drier version of this dish. I did, however, likedthe addition of the diced bell peppers. It helped enhance the overall flavors of the dish. Highly recommend coming here if you're into BBQ pork or duck.

We ordered from this restaurant on Uber Eats. Hubby has Uber One membership so delivery was free.We ordered roast duck and Chinese style bbq pork, no rice. When the order arrived, we were shocked at how little the servings were (see picture below). considering we were charged $45. The food was just ok. Nothing special. We'll never order from them again.

Very affordable and tasty lunch boxes perfect for to go orders. Love the clean taste and efficient service. I wouldn't dine in since the place is a bit tight. But would definitely recommend it for quick take out. It really is rare nowadays to get a fulfilling meal for less than $10 nowadays.

2nd time at MK BBQ Cafe! They have affordable lunch specials and delicious bbq item combos that made this one of my now go-to spot in Rowland Heights. We happened to pass by this cute little restaurant in Rowland Heights inside Hong Kong plaza and decided to try it for ourselves. We got a 3 item combo of roasted duck (chopped with bones), honey glazed pork, and chicken with white rice ($8.99). Everything was good, but my favorite was the honey glazed pork & duck. So for our 2nd time, we got 2 orders of a 3 item combo (duck + 2 honey glazed pork), and one lunch special of sweet & sour pork ($12.99) Everything tasted better & fresher than the first time. We went around 11am and previously, we went in the afternoon. It's best to go before noon. Parking: Free Service: Excellent; friendly; fast service Ambiance: Clean; nice decor; saw a couple of tables for bigger groups of 8 people. Health rating: ASmall con: rice could be better but for the price, I can't complain. I'll just get the bbq or other entrées by itself next time. Highly recommended and will try their other menu selections. Thanks, MK!

Came here for lunch with my dad and the service was super friendly, attentive and overall amazing. For the food, combos are super affordable and we both got the 3 item combos and couldn't finish due to how big the portions were but everything tasted great and came out quickly. We'll definitely be back.

We go to this place whenever we are in the neighborhood. It was always good when they were inside of the supermarket. We ordered a whole roasted duck & some BBQ pork as usual today. After we got home and started our dinner, we realized our order was made of scraps of the leftover from the lunch specials. There was almost no big breast meat, and mostly were the thin rib pieces. There were two wing pieces pretending to be the legs, which barely had much meat. There were many neck pieces. I'm guessing this "duck" must had a supper long neck. We finished everything, but didn't feel like we ate much. My husband later mentioned that he didn't see the guy grabbing a duck from the window. They lost us as customers for sure, but I'm sure they don't really care. BUT if that's how they do their business, karma will get them.
