I was thoroughly impressed with Miyabi Shabu and Grill! This spot offers an incredible variety of high-quality cuts and the option to customize your dining experience. You can choose from cuts like rib eye, chuck eye roll, short rib, wagyu, and beef tongue, and they'll prepare it just how you like: thinly sliced for shabu shabu or thicker cuts for the grill. We went with the AYCE silver tier ($45.99), and it was fantastic! The meat was flavorful and tender, and I can only imagine how incredible the gold tier ($65.99, with premium cuts like A5 wagyu) must be.If you choose AYCE, the broth is included, but with the à la carte shabu option, you'll need to pay extra for your chosen broth. The sauces are absolutely delicious -- don't miss out on their chili oil. Be warned: just one drop is incredibly spicy One thing that stood out for me was the rice topped with their special chili garlic crisp. It tastes fantastic after you mix it thoroughly with the rice. Miyabi Shabu and Grill exceeded my expectations with its customizable options, high-quality meat, and incredible sauces. Whether you're a shabu shabu fan or love a good grill, this place is a winner. It was my first time experiencing the option of both BBQ and shabu shabu in the same meal. I'll definitely be coming back

miyabi's sukiyaki broth is my favoritee out of all the shabu places i've tried!! the spicy sukiyaki is also very flavorful & you can ask for hot drops if you want it spicier :) they have a bar for veggies & other condiments which is nice a little pricier than other options in oc buut understandable if you consider the amount of meat & quality of ingredients. there's also an ayce option!ambiance: it wasn't busy at all around 2pm saturday. the music was veryyy irvine dancer core but still vibey LMAO

My husband and I came here on Tuesday night for an anniversary dinner. It wasn't busy so we were seated right away. I noticed right away that there were only 2 servers and 2 back workers cutting meat and working the kitchen. Didn't seem like much meats were on the tables. The food was really good and the serves servers did seem to try but this is such a bad experience. I had to ask for items and wave down a server to get more items frequently. My husband needed more broth, he had the spicy Taiwanese. The broth added looked like a plain broth of some sort. Then when she added more "broth" for me, it was just water. I had no idea she was going to just add water instead of more broth. It ruined the flavor and I didn't eat much more afterwards. My husband was looking forward to trying the waygu fried rice. We got there around 6pm. They start apps at 5pm. We waited a while when I asked a second server about the fried rice. She came back and told me they were out? How? They literally just opened and it wasn't busy. I'm glad the meat was good or else the whole meal would've been a regretful disaster. There was only 1 person slicing meat so it took a while to get some to your table. The broth was in a pot higher than expected, could easily burn your arm, and yet they give you less than half full of the broth. This place was too expensive for this type of experience. So yourself a favorite and go somewhere else. It's been a long while since we've had an experience this bad.

We waited about 35 min before being seated. I really liked the meat quality here and the garlic rice + sauce options. i was addicted to the jalapeños in one of the sauces and ate each meat piece with one. we didn't opt for the ayce so we shared a a la carte order of beef belly and it was super filling still since u can get more veggies where the sauce bar is. the only downside was the broth flavor was pretty light - i got miso tonkatsu and my friend got garlic pepper . the garlic pepper rly didn't taste like anything but the miso tonkatsu was good just very light so i added in sauces from the sauce bar to make it more tasty and spicy. still was super yummy with everything all together

It's crazy how much the prices jump from lunch, weekend and dinner. Tbh, for the amount of food you get, may be a decent price during lunch. As for AYCE on weekends I say it's still pricey and I just ended up going with the a la carte options which saved us some money as a family of 4, we weren't super hungry but the portions are generous for the shabu meats. The meat is great quality, so I'm not mad about it. Service was good, wasn't too busy so it was good we were able to get seated right away.

I've been here twice the last two weeks and it's been years since I last came here. I remembered my experience when they first opened and it was decent. These days seemed like they have grown and I've really enjoyed my last two experience. I live so close by as well! They offer AYCE Shabu and also on the tables you can grill the meat as well. There are certain times where the AYCE is %15 off. AYCE Shabu is a lot going for me haha. Couple of things that stand out and which is why I will keep coming back is the shared portion. The shared portion of wagyu beef belly 16 oz was only $45. Sharing with two people is such a good deal. We had a left overs cause it was a lot of meat. Worth it though. We chose their sukiyaki broth and it was really good. I usually just do the typical standard water and create your own broth but sukiyaki hits. Also I love the way they prepared the meat, slightly marinated, not sure what they used but that made the difference. Unlimited veggies and greens which is a nice addition. They provide you with rice and they have their own twist. Fried garlic bits with the rice and it just makes it so good. The rice for sure was something that stood out to us. It also comes with your choice of udon/ramen noodles. Couple of pieces of tofu, mushroom, and fish ball roe. Ohh, the fishball roe! I'd recommend that as well just so you have both fish and meat to enjoy. It's not fishy at all. Service here is pretty good, really attentive and nice. Sit in front and watch the man cut meat slices, it's pretty cool. Definitely will be coming back. I love Shabu more than I can actually remember to come haha.

Always a consistent place for Shabu, service is attentive and kind. Menu prices have been creeping up and up let's pump the brakes there!

I've been coming here since before Covid, things have changed a bit and it feels a bit less busy than before, but what makes Miyabi good compared to other shabu places is the quality of meat. They've evolved to including an AYCE option on their menu. However, I've always stuck with al a carte which is usually enough food. It comes with choice of broth (which you have to pay $3 each for), brown or white rice, udon or ramen noodles, and vegetables. All of their cuts of meat are great and include beef belly toro, prime angus rib eye, angus top blade, etc. Meat is always so fresh and high quality! You can tell it's not just pulled from the freezer and freshly cut just moments ago. Vegetables are refilled for free (greens only). Parking is never usually an issue as it's a fairly big lot. Shared with some other great Asian restaurants. 7 Leaves is in the same parking lot and is a great dessert choice after your meal.Service is always on par, young staff who are always super attentive and monitors/checks in regularly.Check in on Yelp for 50% off sake or beer!

Started off with a terrible waiting list where they had people who came in before us seated/options of seating while we were waiting outside. I had to come in and let them know we've been on the list. Service sucked ass. For 60$ weekend ayce, you're probably gonna get one round of food, and if you're lucky you'll get everything you actually ordered. They need more servers because the sauce bar was out of sauce (sauce bar was weak/not a lot of options) and I had to scrape for some soy sauce on the bottom of the container. There were no more sauce bowls since they said they were cleaning it. We had waited about 45 mins from when we were seated to when we actually got our meat to cook. The whole experience was awful and for them to charge high tier price is just wrong. Don't come here unless u want to be disappointed
