MiniMex Taco Shop

I like it. I'm born and raised San Diego. So when I can enter a true taco shop that reminds me of home I love them. The smell, the decor that hasn't been changed since 1985 haha! The good food! And it's all familiá working. One should pocket this place and love it. These are few and far between in the HB area. All the Mexican locations are becoming commercialized and infused with another cuisine. Not that is latinas are going anywhere. But the authenticity of a true taco shop are starting to fade.Anyways... the food is good! And the prices are decent. Go and grub!

Place has decent food. But far from the Tortilla Hernandez that it was before MiniMex.

Came to grab a bite while I did laundry-We ordered the chili rellerno and a shrimp quesadilla. Im a cheese fiend and this place delivered. The sauces were so flavorful. The quesadilla was fat and cheesy, trust me, the cheese pull was excellent! UPDATE: I am now on my third green salsa. Luckily, everybody has been very nice and not been upset about the fact that I did not share/stole theirs. The cashier was friendly and don't stress, he speaks English in case you get stuck.

I was originally heading towards "two hands seoul fresh corn dogs" during my lunch break- but thennnnnn i glanced briefly towards my left side window as i drove down Main Street, and saw this taqueria so i made a quick U-ey and turned in. YUP! so glad i did ^__^ i got two lenguas and carnitas tacos, and a portion of chile rellanos to go. OH! and a ginormous cup of Horchata on the side. FIRST TIME HAVING MY CORN TORTILLAS grilled crispy to perfection!! ya'll, that's an added bonus we're talking about with street tacos. That kind of work takes time and effort to create that crunch in every bite. my taco meats were seasoned just right, salsa made fresh, not too caliente *thumbs up* the staff were super friendly & thankful for the business- LOVE love love that I can support small business owner at any chance I can get. If you're ever in this area and crave some quick street tacos and authentic Mexican food, don't think twice, make that U turn like i did. *wink* p.s. considering inflation and all, $26 for all of this wasn't too bad!!

I'm not sure why I'd order Mexican food anywhere else when Minimex is down the street. My neighbor and I were in search for a hefty breakfast after a night out. I wouldn't settle for anything less than chilaquiles, so we did our research and stumbled on this Mexican eatery.Minimex is one of those places that you just know will be good before you ever try it. It's a hole in the wall with two dudes hanging out behind the counter crafting up some delicious food.I ordered the chilaquiles with verde sauce, an over easy egg, chicken, Mexican cheese, and an avocado. This was hands down one of the best decisions I made this past weekend.. or even in 2022.We brought back breakfast burritos and tacos for the group and everyone was beyond satisfied!

Quick stop for lunch. Friendly service. Not impressed with the burrito and nacho. Their salsa is hot and delicious.

Food was delicious!!! We ate everything off the plate. We got 5 tacos asada, carnitas and chorizo and one wet burrito de asada. Bomb!!! Would definitely be back. Service was great! Very friendly

Bomb little place. Super friendly people with some great food! I call in for to go food all the time and it's always delicious.

Their food is great!! Their salsa is also amazing.. Will be going back soon to try more
