This place is absolutely delicious and a true taste of a homecooked meal. You know when you walk into a restaurant and it's filled with elderly people ( who choose to eat out vs. cook korean food) it must be good. I don't recommend going around 3 p.m. on a weekday, though... I think it's the employee lunch time. The restaurant was pretty much packed to capacity but with the manager, waitress and kitchen staff all eating lunch, it was a bit unprofessional as to how they were mid bite and serving and preoccupied ( as it was hard to get their attention and the food, even side dishes took time to come out). All that to say, I still gave it 5 stars because the banchan/side dishes tasted clean and were good. The dishes we ordered: bibimbap and roe soup were ample in serving size and seasoned very well. I even got a 2nd bowl of rice! I want to go back and try their other dishes. They seem to specialize in a lot of fish dishes, which is right up my alley of preferences. The location is in a random plaza, and there are extra parking spots in the back as well. The restaurant is small, so I don't recommend it for groups larger than 4 or 6 max.. I'm glad I tried it and want to go back!

a tiny korean restaurant... very busy and cozy feel.the food was great and their portions were big. i personally enjoyed their side dishes a lot; they have unique side dishes that were scrumptious. i had the hand-pulled dough soup with perilla seed (들깨수제비) and the steamed pork with napa + soybean paste stew combo (보쌈 + 된장찌개). the hand-pulled dough soup was really amazing; everyone in my table wanted to try mine. the bossam and soybean stew were also amazing :')I took a point off only because I feel the ambiance wasn't that great... it can feel stuffy and crowded and you can occasionally hear the cooks cursing at each other inside the kitchen which made me uncomfortable. other than that, the food here is great!

If you have kids, I don't recommend this restaurant. I went to dinner with my husband and our 3-year-old toddler, and after finishing our meal, I left a 20% tip. However, the waitress was visibly upset because my toddler dropped some food on the floor. She even said, "Oh my God" to my face. When I offered to clean the table, she just walked away.I ended up cleaning the table and floor with wipes, but the floor was already dirty when we sat down. Later, another waitress came over and offered to clean, but by that time, I had already done it myself.Honestly, the restaurant is always dirty. I didn't even want to use their bathroom, and the high chair was filthy, with hair and leftover food stuck to it. The disposable utensils they brought were also dirty, and the fork's tip was broken.

One of my fav korean dining in whenever I'm craving a nice home-cooked meal. The quality of every side dish is so fresh and the everything reminds me of l my grandma's cooking. I always get the bossam combo that comes with soybean paste stew and variety of fresh veggies+side dishes. The portion is more than enough for 2 people and pricing is very reasonable. I highly recommend coming here.

Pretty busy lunch time on a Wednesday. Had to wait a little bit but definitely worth it! If you want authentic Korean food I'd recommend here. - Spicy Marinated Raw Crab 5/5The crab is somewhat meaty but the spicy sauce is delicious. Ask for disposable gloves so you don't dirty your hands. - Spicy Pork w/ wrap 2.1/5The spicy pork marinade tastes mostly of red pepper paste (gochujang). It was OK, wouldn't get again. - Braised Black Cod 5/5It's delicious. The seasoning paste is good. The fish is tender and soft. Love the pieces of rice cake and radishes (cooked well). - Soybean Soup 4.1/5Comes with the raw crab and spicy pork wrap, the bean paste they use tastes good. This soup is on the saltier side, but eaten with rice is pretty good. Free parking in a lot next door.

This restaurant reminded me of Seattle's "The Pike Place Fish Market," where fresh fish has been sold for decades as employees playfully throw fish around. Though this place has been open for 10 years, we were unaware of its existence. Situated in a humble shopping center with a modest square footage, you would never imagine the quality of service and Korean food it offers. When we checked in, the restaurant was nearly full, and the busyness and energy of the staff expressed their confidence and pride in their reputation.We were first served water, and the waitstaff's recommendations already impressed us with the promise of quality and taste. We ordered Braised Black Cod, Spicy Marinated Pork, and Bean Casserole with lettuce for the three of us. The fresh lettuce and vegetables, including green pepper, cucumber, carrots, wild sesame leaves, and steamed cabbage, arrived first. We also had a choice between white rice and mixed grain rice, opting for the healthier option.The presentation and quantity of the food and side dishes were attractive and impressive. When the Spicy Pork arrived, we could already tell it would taste great. The Bean Casserole was also delicious. The awaited Braised Black Cod, which they were very proud of, came last. We didn't have to wait long to encounter one of the restaurant's most popular dishes. The combination of quantity, quality, and taste was outstanding, although it was a little too sweet for one of us. The Black Cod melted in our mouths, and the tofu and radish were incredibly flavorful. We called this kind of food 밥도둑 (Thief of Rice) because it kept making us eat more rice. We were very full and ended up taking the leftovers home. The service was excellent.There might be many people who have never visited this restaurant, but there are likely few who have only been here once. We plan to come back to try other menu items next time. Strongly recommended.

I love this unassuming place. It's a pretty small restaurant but the food is wonderful. My favorite are the hand pulled noodles. The ladies who run this place are quick to get you any items you need.

This establishment is a small hole in the wall joint. They have about 8 tables in total and have a waitlist hanging on the door. I would avoid lunch times during the weekdays as they are typically busy. The parking situation used to be a nightmare but it's now ample as they have their own lot on the side. Also, their service is of a typical Korean joint. Meaning, they try their best with the cultural and speech barrier. IMO, I think do a pretty decent job. I'm not a huge fan of Korean food in OC. It seems to always be a hit or a miss. That being said, Mindeulle is one of the places I go to when in the area. My mom and I both enjoy eating here as the food is very homely. I usually get their ssambap combo which comes with veggies, a choice of protein and a side of bean paste stew. My mom usually goes for the hot stone rice pot or fish. I would stay away from some of the steamed main dishes with red-ish sauces. I find the sauces on the sweeter side which isn't to my liking. However, their banchan's aka side dishes brings me back to my grandma's shigol aka countryside flavors.

I had some food for take out. I ordered galbitang, ssambab and jeonbokjook. I was so disappointed with galbitang and jeonbokjook. Galbitang had just three pieces of meat and so thin and small which is $21.00. Also, the jeonbokjook which is more than $25.00 was hard to fine abalone inside. I visited this place in a while ago and so different now. I might not visit again.
