Mendocino Farms

One thing you can always count on Mendocino Farms for is their fresh ingredients. This location is very consistent in offering not only good service, but fresh delicious food. I love their salads and their sandwiches the most, although everything I have tried from here has been good! Today I ordered the Black Tie Turkey Club and the Pickles and Dill Potato Salad. The Black Tie Turkey Club is my favorite sandwich I've ever tried from here. The bun was so good! Slightly sweet and there was a tangy and savory mustard sauce on the sandwich that with the bacon, bun, and turkey all pair perfectly. I'm a pickle lover so I love the Pickle and Dill potato salad! It's refreshing and paired well with my sandwich. My only hangup about this Mendocino Farms is the parking. The parking lot is shared with a Whole Foods amongst some other small businesses and it is atrocious! Though this is not the fault of Mendocino it does make it a pain trying to park to get in and out of here.

I came during the busy lunch time rush. It's a pretty popular spot for lunch or dinner. It's busy with to go orders as well. So, wait times for food can be a little longer. It's an open kitchen so you can see the staff preparing the food. It took almost 20 minutes for my 3 salads. My all time favorite is their Avocado & Quinoa Superfood Ensalada!! I love everything about it, from the superfood krunchies, quinoa, avocado and chipotle vinaigrette!! You have the option of adding chicken for an additional price. But, it's so delicious even without the chicken. I love added texture and bold flavor of the chipotle vinaigrette! Whenever I have this salad, it's so satisfying and filling. There are many sandwiches to choose from. You can get soup or one of their sides to go with it.

So disappointed that Mendocino farms no longer sells the only sandwich that I actually liked which was the pork belly banh mi. Apparently they only kept the vegan version. I will not pay $14 for carrots and bread, sorry. I ordered the not so fried chicken sandwich to give it a try, it was ok, but definitely not the same thing. Will likely not return to Mendocino anymore.

Stopped in for lunch with a couple of work associates based on one of their recommendations. Wlaked in and the restaurant was well lit and clean. Ordering is done at the counter in similar style to a Starbucks.After agonizing over several choices, I decided on the chicken parm dip. The sandwich came out piping hot served on a sesame roll with a side of dipping sauce. The roll was fresh and not too hard while the chicken was tender and easy to bite into. I loved the sauce as it has just a hint of "kick' to it that compliments the chicken really well.I will be in town for a few more weeks and will definitely go back as the salads and a few of the other sandwiches look amazing. There are several locations around town and I would recommend stopping in if you find yourself near one.

Take a look at this beautiful salad! It says everything I like about Mendocino--fresh, healthy, enticing, and filling. This avocado superfood salad doesn't even have meat but the toasted quinoa and corn provide enough sustenance to keep you full. The service at this Brea location is wonderful. We had a friendly gentleman bring our order to us, and we were allowed to stay as long as we needed. The only downside is my coworker's order (sandwich and potato salad) took longer than you would expect for a sandwich and pre-made salad. Not sure what happened there but she seemed to be okay with it.

Great sandwiches, salads, deli, etc. anyone who's ever been to a Mendocino Farms knows the food quality is high and delicious. And as far as I'm concerned way better and cheaper than Panera whose prices are "now" more expensive.

The Greek chicken soup is mind blowingly good. It's only going to be sold for a limited time, so get it while you can. The taste was comforting, soothing, and a little complex. I'd drive out of my way for another bowl. Dog friendly patio seating!

My friends picked me up for lunch with our kids they wanted to go to Mendocino Farms. I forgot how good this place is only came here once a long time ago. We all ordered the Impossible taco salad which was so tasty I loved it. The kids ordered the Chicken tenders. They don't have soda here so got the lemonade with Tarin in it so good. I really enjoyed my salad today it had a small hint of spice to it and all the flavors was absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend trying this place. I like this area too close to Whole foods. The parking lot is big they have inside and outside seating we chose to sit inside since they have a kid table for the kids to sit. Outside has a foosball which is cool! I was told this place has great sandwiches, BUT THE SALADS?? Unreal. It was the perfect lunch as it was light on the stomach, yet very filling. It was my first time and the staff member recommended the Pink Lady Beats and Goat Cheese salad. (She said that's what got her coming back and now I can see why). The components are cohesive along with the citrus vinaigrette, which ties it together so nicely. Get a load of this: pink lady beets, honey roasted almonds, dried cranberries, AND GREEN APPLES, along with the goat cheese and roast chicken breast???!! That's not even all of it, but I mean COME ONNN. You absolutely need to try this for yourself, your taste buds and stomach will thank you. I'm not exaggerating when I say that this was the best salad I've ever had, however I'll admit that my spectrum of salads had generally only gone as far as a Ceasar. So you can imagine how elated I was to discover this gem. It's such a beautiful medley of fruits, nuts, protein, and veggies that will leave quite an impression. I look forward to trying more of their salads, but this one has my heart so far. Also, I'd like to add that I believe the price point is justified. $15 for a salad? Absolutely. I'd be paying the same if I went to a fast food joint, so might as well spend it on something that'll actually make me feel good throughout my day. Just saying.

My boyfriend got the chimichurri and bacon sandwich. I got the chicken pesto caprese. The portion was small especially for the price! It took about 20 minutes to get the sandwiches. Our bill was $29 for 2 sandwiches! The sandwiches didn't come with any sides or even a chip bag. My sandwich was mediocre at best. The cashier recommended the chicken pesto over the chicken parm sandwich. They added way too much pesto! I couldn't taste the chicken. I couldn't even tell there was chicken. The chicken was barely warm, reminded me of deli meat versus a chicken breast filet. Thin chicken cut slices and overpowered with pesto. My boyfriend loved his sandwich!! However he said he'd never come back for the price of a small sandwich. The ambiance was nice though, plenty of tables inside. We sat outside and the patio area was cute. High ceilings, lots of light and chic farm table vibes.
